Siempre pasaba. Por este lugar nunca habia llegado hasta que me. Lo recomendaron. El día miércoles pase a. Probar su comida quede encantada con todo rikisima la. Comida. Salsas. Frijoles pozole. los sopes agua de horchata. Muy buen servicio muy amable la señora que nos atendiendo todo muy limpio. ya seremos sus clientes. Lugares como este vale la. Pena recomendarlos.

Food was amazing. Fast service. Waitress had a lil attitude but over all service was good. I’ll be back for breakfast soon.

Recently renovated so they have a slightly bigger space now and still very good menudo. But the new chairs are not comfy and they still make you check out yourself at the cashier upfront which causes a long and uncomfortable wait at the end of your meal. The worst part is people stand inside while waiting for a seat in the same space you need to stand to cash out, so there is virtually NO extra space at all. Now try checking out while holding kids, a diaper bag and a car seat and imagine the trouble. I also don’t recall seeing a changing table in the bathroom. Lastly the tortillas aren’t as good as I remembered. That’s why I had to give only 3 stars.

It was more like 3.5 stars but on the review gotta go 3 or 4 so I’ll lean toward 4 because I love there White Menudo so much. This place is located in the heart of National City on Highland. They’ve done some remodeling & made it bigger, which is good. Parking is in the front on the side street or back.
I’ll start with the Pros. White Menudo, it’s my fav here & they got the best white menudo I’ve had, it taste pure & clean from the pata to the hominy & the tripe all done perfect! There green chicken Pozole is also very good & there very generous with there portions. Another hit here is there short ribs Mexican Style, there on point, you’ll love the caldito (juice) it’s in. The service always friendly & food comes out pretty quick & fresh & hot.
Cons, the Red Menudo & Pozole here is decent I’ve had better. In my opinion it’s too red & the flavor of the powder chili is too strong. And it seems to be a bit greaser then the white menudo & green pozole. This place use to have hand made tortillas when it first open & not any more, that’s a big miss. Another thing I notice is they don’t bring you NO trimmings for you’re menudo/​pozole. You have to get it yourself! Ok that’s ok for a taco shop, but not for a menudo place! They should have the trimmings at you’re table but instead you have to get up & get it in tiny little paper boats. And I notice they don’t bring you chips or salsa while you wait. Everyday even weekends they close early at 3 so try to get here early.
Overall I still really like this place & I do recommend it. Especially if you’re looking for good white menudo & green chicken pozole. It’s a good little spot to have breakfast with you’re mom or pop, just give them some extra Fish Oil pills if they get the Red Menudo because it’s a bit greasy, just saying. I will continue to come back for there delicious White Menudo!

This place Sucks! Years ago they had costillitas as an appetizers for everybody. And also they had Handmade tortillas now they are store bought. Their menudo isn’t even authentic. It tastes like store bought. We were sitting in our table 15 min later they sit someone next to us. They brought them their food first. I Ask the waitresses for some some utensils and she brought me something else. She doesnt accept she was wrong claims that she asked me and I sait yes. Never coming back!!!

Came at a busy time on Sunday. There is now a lot more room at original location since taking over the flower shop next door and removing the dividing wall. Wait time was just 10 minutes compared to the normal 30 – 40.
Food is the best. They have a new waitress by the name of Olivia, who is the best. The was extremely attentive and pleasant.

Great food great service. I love their menudo here definately one of the better places in San Diego! I wish they were open later specially on cold days cause i can eat this almost any time of day. Parking can suck here, they have a few spots in the back which fills up fast then it’s street parking.

Checked out the remodeled location and definitely more of a restaurant type feel than the one across the street. More dining room seating and a couple tvs going as well.
I’ve been coming here for menudo para la cruda lately other than my local joint which is plazas down in South Bay. Their menudo is definitely a must here.
Seeing how it’s was a work day so I wasn’t hungover lol, I figured I try something new. I went with the pork Pozole rojo. Let me tell you, this is bowl of heaven was just mind blowing good! Pork just falling of the bones, and the soup was filled with so much flavor.
My friend that initially introduced me to don Vicente, said that he is the pickiest Pozole eater there is and will only eat his moms that was taught from his grandmother’s recipe in Mexico, and this place. He said «this will be the closest you’ll have to a real home style cooked Pozole». Hey, I’m not going to argue with that statement, he was absolutely right because I’ve tried his moms and this was damn close if not just as good!

This is one of my most favorite Mexican breakfast location you can choose to have some Birria I’m the morning one of my favorite itiems in their menu I defiantly recommend this location and will always be back there for a good delicious breakfast. They have great customer service and never make you wait long for your food

I’ve only had the pozole here both the green and the red chicken and pork. It is really good.
This was place was recently remodeled and the only reason I didn’t give it a higher rating is because:
They don’t split checks and I hardly ever carry cash .
They stopped making the tortillas fresh
They stopped serving the small green Chile costillitas as appetizer.

OMG!!! This Lil place is BOMB! I had the LG menudo & it was delicious. .I also took Lil bites from my kids plates to try wat they ordered and it was delicious too… we had enchiladas de pollo rojas, birria, posole rojo… all this plates are delicious. …staff is very friendly & attentive. I’ll b back in 2 weeks… keep up the good work guys!!!

I love the food here. Service is good. The new layout seats more people and is nice to look at. Wish they did more with acoustics. Can get loud in there.

This place is very good! I had the pork pozole & my friend had menudo. Both were excellent! This place has GREEN POZOLE chicken/​pork & they also sell antojitos like enchiladas, tostadas, tacos dorados sopes, etc… looking delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back!

El menudo rico pero el servicio pesimo ya no ay tortillas hechas a mano asi q ni preguntes porque la mesera te va a decir que selo preguntes a la dueña, pedi jugo d naranja q nunca me llego, tuve q ir pir una coca porque se me atoro el menudo, y ni se arrimaban para ver si keria mas tortillas, otra vez tuve q ir por tortillas y todavia la mesera te mira con cara de whattttttt???

OK I betrayed my local LA Sierra spot to try Don Vicentes as they are always so full.
I have to say I’m disappointed in the Menudo it gave me a sense of canned Menudo. I’m glad I ordered a small plate.
On the other hand the salsa is amazing and my son had chorizo plate which included chilakiles very delicious. I will be back for other anotijitos just not menudo.
The waitress are friendly and place us pretty titty.
Giving them 3 stars only because it’s called Don Vicentes menuderia and menudo is not so good.

Very small joint in NC. Make sure you come ready to wait. Very popular spot and busy everyday at all times of the day. I’m definitely not a Menudo person. But I definitely will be back to try other dishes and their other soups. Parking is very limited too unless you can find street parking and willing to hike for a lil bit. Costillitas were not soft and moist!

Really??? The mujere who rang my order up was so rude. Not only did she make me feel racially discriminated against, she gave me my change in faded gold colored dollars and a couple were $ 10 pesos! I am very disappointed in the service that I received from an establishment that I so long have patronized. What a shame that I walk in with my very Guapo Novio and the mujeres look at me as if I have the plague! Let’s not go there!

Delicious menudo here!!!

This is almost like one of those hole in the walls you love to find. The food they serve has lots of flavor and worth the price. My two favorites from their restaurant is the Red Menudo and Costillitas.
The food here is very good, just something is missing to give off that WOW factor.

Alright, the menudo is good and plenty. The large was about 10 something.
Now the bad… a menu was literally ripped from my friends hands and thrown by the «waitress» when my party said they wouldn’t be ordering. The rudeness continued but why relive the past.
We also dined in about 80 degree weather inside with 2 flies on the window with us. Not appealing at all.
So, overall, I see the good reviews and the taste of the food backs them up.
Whoever rude person was, really ruined our experience there (although we did have a nice other lady check us out).
And flies.

I had to rewrite this as I realized most of the post did not stick.
I had been to this place before when they were located across the street. I arrived with what I consider my family as one of them is my child’s mother and ex wife. I ordered my food at the same time as the other 11 people. My drink never showed up and my food did not show up either. My ex-​wife became very upset and went to speak with the server that basically made excuses. After another 10 minutes my soup suddenly arrived (no doubt with a few extra spices). I suddenly began to choke and had to force the pork back up.
Never again for me.

One of my all time favorite places for Menudo. Really simple and somewhat divey place. But where else would you eat the best food from?
They have an open salsa bar to stock up on the limes and super hot sauces to make that menudo perfecto. They come to your table to take your order and mine is always Menudo Rojo. They treat you to pork riblets and fantastic tortillas to make mini tacos if you please. I personally like to eat the pork alone like the animalistic carnivore I can be. Then I take the really hot tortilla and roll it up tight as I prepare for my delicious meal.
When my Menudo sits on the table I wait 2.5 seconds before I dig in. Then I remember I have to add lime and hot sauce after three bites. After that, it’s perfection.
Every bite is hot and filled with tripe and hominy. Nom nom nom…

Awesome menu and very cool place inside. It’s hoppin’ on Saturday morning. Everything was screaming off the menu at me. Had to go with the menudo, water and coffee.
Food came out lighting fast. Gotta give it up to them for the spices on the table. Coffee was excellent. Had a nice subtle cinnamon after taste. Salsa bar is perfect for this place. Amazing homemade corn tortillas. Menudo is delicious. Broth is some of the best around. Chock full of everything. They’re so legit, they even put the hoof in. Need to get back here ASAP to get some of that costillitas. Don Vincente’s is doing it right.
