Went to the Sweetwater Road location yesterday, ordered 8 items to go. The two bags of food came out in about 5 minutes. I asked the cashier to double check the order with me, since I’m not going to drive home and whine about missing items later. Yep, all 8 items were in the bags. Love the hot sauce, but noticed it is no longer available on the counter. Perhaps is is a precursor to PCP? Anyway, just ask, and they will give you however many you want, Mild, Medium, or Hot. Yes, it’s Taco Bell food. Well, that’s exactly why I stopped here !

Look, it’s Taco Bell. You know it’s not gourmet. It’s a quick bite to eat on a night when you are just too tired to think straight. That being said, this particular Taco Bell is terrific. Why? Because the staff is very friendly and nice. Their star player during the evenings is Anthony. Anthony is one heck of a people person. He never fails to be enthusiastic in his greeting through the speaker. He is always exceptionally friendly at the window and makes sure to ask if you need anything. This dude has people skills with a capital P. Is he having a bad day? He doesn’t let it show. Anthony is a professional and a real credit to his Taco Bell. I’d like to add that while Anthony is usually the one we see because we do drive thru, the inside staff is also very personable. The young man 2 weeks ago took time to explain, in great detail, all the newer items to my husband.(Who seriously asked about every single item.) The food? It’s good. It looks pretty like in the photos. It doesn’t leak all over the bag. I know it’s not authentic Mexican, and the foodies would turn their noses up at the menu. Who cares? The staff is fantastic.(The inside of the restaurant may look a little dated, but it has always been clean as a whistle when we go in.) What makes this Taco Bell shine is the staff.

About 4⁄5 times we go here, something is either missing or just a made extremely bad. We have complained to corporate about it and was given a discount for next time… thanks /sarcasm. This Taco Bell is less than 2 miles from our house, we will never go to this one again. Sick of the wait times, and shitty food and technically having movey stolen from us. — If we pay for a product and don’t receive said product, that’s stealing.

Got a crunch wrap while going through the drive thru, about 15 minutes later I decided to eat my food, and to my unpleasant surprise found no meat in my crunch wrap at all. Never again.

People might think that all these chain fast food places are the same, but they’re not! This location has the best customer service compared to any fast food place my far. Always very nice(only come here once a month, maybe) great staff always asking what else they could help me with.

Living in San Diego has taught me one thing: Sometimes it’s ok to not always want real authentic mexican food. The same way you have those days where you wake up in the morning not wanting to really go out and do anything productive with your life, go out on a date with no strings attached, or decide that the $ 1 dollar tacos at Jack-In-The-Box trumps that mexican joint down the street, this is what Taco Bell is for me. A quickie. This place has been here forever but it retains that one quality about it that other businesses in the area fail to have: you can count on it to be there. I used to come here all the time when I was a young naïve child when I could say that Fresh Pozole was not as tasty as my Nacho Bell Grande. This was my first relationship with mexican food. You never forget your first. Which is why I decided on Taco Bell and not Super Sergios next door. As always, I receive my food in less than 5 minutes. In the years I’ve been here I haven’t had trouble with employees. For the most part they are very nice and eager to help every time I go to the front to ask for condiments. The food has always had it’s own unique taste, definitely nothing like any mexican places around San Diego, which might be why people come here so much, because the tastes are so different from what they are used to. With the introduction of the Doritos Locos Taco, I admit that this creation grabbed me and reeled me in hook, line, and SINKER. Mixing the food I eat while watching Power Rangers as a kid and the classic taco I always adored was genius. Unlike other the typical Mexican joint, Taco Bell’s servings have always been much smaller than you anticipate after laying down a couple of bills hoping for a big catch. This has been frustrating especially when you finish your BIGBOXMEAL and realize that it was big at all. Cleanliness was also a big thing. While you are eating, you’ll find that there are people sweeping and after they are done, well, the floor still has trash all over the place. Now to reiterate what I said in the beginning, the employees are nice and helpful if you ask them for anything, but this doesn’t mean that they look happy or playful or excited one bit. It can feel a bit awkward eating here just because the vibe in this restaurant is almost non existent. It has a bland feel to it and the majority of the food would taste the same way if it hadn’t been for the introduction of the FIRE hot packets. If you’ve ever drove through the drive through you will also have noticed that the distance between you and the cashier window is impossibly far that you’re always on the edge about if your food will make it into your car or not. If I had to say two comments about why this place stays in business and why it doesn’t go anywhere. 1. People love authentic food, but when you have mexican joints all over the place, sometimes you decide to be unfaithful and have an affair with Taco Bell. It’s ok, we’ve all done it. 2. The reason this place doesn’t go anywhere and why people like you and me just use it like our side relationship is this: is doesn’t change. This place has been the exact same since I was a child. No renovations, no change in employee customer interactions, bland décor, no real attention to cleanliness. They do the same thing over and over which is why Taco Bell will only be a «Late-Night Stand» with tose Doritos Locos Tacos I love. Thanks babe, I’ll see you around.

Compare to other Taco Bells I have been to, This one is legit. The inside is clean, needs a remodel looks like back in the day ones lol. Ppl here are ok, food was fast and the order was perfect. 4 star not 5 could of been more helpful to the PPL that ordered ahead of me.

For god sake, this is a fast food establishment! It’s not the Ritz! We go here about two times a week and they have yet to get our order wrong. Sometimes, the employee working the drive-thru isn’t too happy, but hey, they’re human. People have good days and bad days. Here’s a tip: Ask the employee who is taking your order how their day is going. If you’re nice, you’ll be treated better in return. Common courtesy!

I’ve been coming here since the 90’s, and in a sea of taco shops in San Diego, this is one of my absolute favorites. As a foodie, and long time resident, I feel more than qualified to make this statement. We have been blessed by being so close to the border, and having a meal hear is basically like sitting in a taqueria south of the border. I really wanted to hate this place, but I couldn’t. With so many delightful options, it’s easy to say that there’s something for everyone. The authenticity of the tacos is authentic, and what makes this taco the best is the ground beef and seasoning; it’s boss if you know what I mean. Seriously they must have gone to some special school in Paris in order to squirt liquid meat out of a cake icer bag like that. Next, I’d like to talk about is the Nachos Bell Grande. This is my go to item here, mmmmmmmmm, so good. It’s an explosion of flavor that sends my heart racing with each and every bite. The flavors are so complex it’s like little bites of heaven putting all five senses in disarray; one would have to wonder the staging process involved. Really, is there anything better than nacho cheese, beans, and sour cream? Pro Tip: If Nachos Bell Grande is too big for you, you can get the smaller version called the Nacho Supreme. Last, but not least, the salsa bar is on point. Again, they do it again by giving something for everyone. When I’m feeling a little less adventurous, I’ll go with the medium sauce, but when I’m going all out(usually when I get the Nacho Bell Grande) I prefer the more exotic and get the Fire, or Salsa Verde. Be careful to pair your sauces and food correctly in order to avoid a foodie faux pas. Pro Tip: This can be tricky and is for the advanced, but you can combine the different sauces to get more flavors out of your meal. On a side note, they really do some really innovative stuff here. Can you imagine them stuffing their Nachos Bell Grande in a wrap. Well… they did. That will definitely be on my list of must haves. The chefs at the Taco Bell lab are genius, and are constantly pushing the envelope in gastronomy.

This is my go-to place when it comes to the munchies. I love this place because they are nice, pretty fast and efficient. This is the only closest taco bell I know and I’m glad its the only one. I’m a regular so I recommend coming here if you’re out of town.

I’ve been at this location numerous times, usually in a rush so I’ve never checked in here until today. I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted and stood at the counter and no one was there, after a couple minutes a gentleman looked at me with this«did I make eye contact… dammit he saw me I should help him» stare and just as he was coming over another young lady from the drive thru was coming to help and they both stutter stepped playing chicken to see who was gonna help me. Frida…asked what I was having and I said yeah I’ll have the grilled stuft burrito with chicken combo, she says with no eye contact«do you want the combo» which just reassured me that she wasn’t listening or did she even care, probably upset she lost the chicken fight with Jose to help me… both with tags indicating some sort of supervisory position. Not the greatest leadership here if that’s who they’re promoting. I got my food and Jose gave another customer her order and walked away before she could say she wanted something else… she stood there and he says«did you want something?» She says yeah I want to order something else… incompetence. I will say though there is a slender Mexican lady that works here and was here during this incident who’s a pleasure to deal with, we chatted one of the last times I was here cause she saw my dodger shirt and told me about how her and her hubby were fans… sweet lady

i remember a time in my life that i could happily eat @ taco bell 3 meals a day. In fact my very 1st job was working at Taco Bell(not this one) It just isn’t the same. the beans are nasty tasting(when i worked there we actually boiled and smashed the beans, now they are so canned!) the food is inexpensive, but just is not good… i can get cheaper and better food at Del Taco or Jack in the Box… I don’t dislike it… just don’t prefer it(i don’t know why i was craving Taco Bell the other day… I think it’s those damn Doritos commercials) hmmm…

The one bitch working drive-thru at night needs a reality check before I run her over w/my car. I came here late at night cos my dad was craving some tacos and bs from here and I pulled up to the drive thru menu and wasn’t greeted at all. I repeatedly kept saying«hello» and a couple minutes later, she decides to tell me how I just need to say my order. She expects me to roll up and just start giving my order? At least say hello so I know you’re there and I don’t look stupid talking to a menu box. I swear… girls these days need a reality check and need to realize that they can’t always be acting so feisty, especially if you’re working w/customer service. I’ve experienced real Mexican food, so this place went downhill. Anyways, that girl should be fired, and the food is mediocre.

My first time going to Taco Bell, believe it or not, was actually just a few years ago. If I do go here, I usually just get their cinnamon twists to satisfy my sweet tooth. But service sucks, especially drive thru. That one time I did get food here, they were missing some items. Usually I check my order, but for some reason just took the bag and drove away. Big mistake. When I got home, didn’t see some food I ordered. Was too lazy to drive all the way back and complain. They need to read the customer’s orders right to begin with anyways. Argh.

Well, what can I say about Taco Bell? It is what it is! Tastless corn or flour tortillas, ground beef that is bland and without seasoning, and taco sauce that is manufactured in bulk and comes in a packet! Yeah, when I was living on the East Coast I thought Taco Bell was were its at untill I moved to the West Coast and recieved an education on what Mexican food should be! Living in San Diego Im shocked to see Taco Bell recieve so many stars. Who would eat this sub-standard fare when theres so many great taco shops to be had? As for me I cant even consume this garbage anymore! Im surprised that they are able to stay in business in this town! I guess Taco Bell has a place tho. Its great for tourists and teens and being cheap its a perfect fit for starving college students or for those that have just found some spare change under thier sofa cushions and cant afford a meal at a real taco shop. The verdict? Taco Bell plain and simple is at the bottom of the barrel in San Diego.
