I love the combinacion de dos gorditas de Puerto en salsa verde, plus their beans are real beans not can beans. The place is very clean and they’re fast in getting your food. The raspados are also good.

I went here last night with my boyfriend and our roomate. My roomate and I ordered the chorizo con papas gordita and we got horribly sick! Something must’ve been undercooked, I really enjoy eating those damn things but as soon as I got home I got a fever and started throwing up, I fell asleep at 6pm I couldn’t bear it. Woke up today still feeling terrible my stomach stings, I have been vomiting and I have diahrrea. I thought it was just me but my roomate is sick too. My boyfriend didn’t get sick he had the mole gordita. Their soda was FLAT I could not drink it, it tasted like just sugared water, their horchata is good though. If I hadn’t gotten as sick as I am now I would return because the taste was good, however I won’t come back here and don’t recommend it unless u want food poisoning

I love this place so much. Every time I come home to San Diego I come here. The mole and carne asada gorditas are amazing.

Today was the first day I tried a gordita and it was mind blowing. A taco inside a tortilla? It was delicious. The reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 was because it lacked the toppings. No cilantro or onions, or guacamole. I just can’t eat meat and a tortilla alone. They had some vinegared veggies but I felt it would be better with the other dressings. Try it out I do have to say I had the al pastor gordita and the meat was seasoned perfectly.

The worst place I’ve been, I went with my family at night after seen a tv comercial from them, took my french poodle with me(considering the size and had inside my jacket, not even walking and barking) and as soon as I open the door the cashier starts yelling me very agressive and saying«no animals inside» she doesn’t even know the difference between the words«animal-pet» we, of course, start answer what she said and the cooker came out and say he was sorry but I don’t really think he told the owner what the nasty cashier did. I can’t believe how a place can survive if they have people like that, rude, agressive and so nasty to talk, the owner spends lot of money on tv commercial and some one who came from nobody knows where, ruin a whole life job.

I’m a big fan of Gorditas and it’s hard to find good spots to eat them here in San Diego. But honestly this place could use some improvements when it comes to the food. The masa was a little dry and they need to ensure their meat and chicharron are well cooked and have the right ingredients on it, so it can give that flavor. Would I come back? No I wouldn’t, better off going to Tijuana.

Me and my whole family love this place. Born and raised in chula family in mx. I know bomb Mexican food. I’ve only had gorditas so I guess I can only vouch for those. But I can vouch that these are the best. My favorite are the bean and cheese and the chicken and chipotle. Would recommend this to everyone. Brought friends here from our of town they loved it finished it all and kept eating even though they were full lol. So they stuffed themselves to the brink. It was great. Go here if you want some real gorditas. This is awesome.

I went here a second time and changed my opinion about this place, Gorditas the way I was raised are a little toasted golden with some oil, These were completely dry and the corn didnt taste good, The chicken mole was cold, and lacked flavor, and the nopales con chile were a huge dissapointment the sause was very plain and not much flavor, which surprises me because its mexican ladies cooking them, but whatever, I might go back if Im passing thru and happen to be very very hungry, other than that Im not going back, My husband had the same experience.

Best gordita’s place around San Diego. They have quesadillas, gorditas, huaraches made fresh as ordered. As for dessert you can choose from a delicious raspado topped with condensed milk, manzana con chile, tostilocos or churrolocos. My favorite… chicharon, mole and rajas con crema gorditas and a rompope raspado.

Stumbled here by accident and so glad I did. Clean, friendly and reasonable priced. Chile relleno gordita is a favourite and so is the beans and cheese. Yummy place!

The food was delicious. They have a variety of salsas and other condiments to add to your gorditas. The raspados were also very good! The only disgusting thing is the restrooms. Theyre so dirty and not well kept. :(

This place is delicious! I love their mole gorditas, & I’m very hard to please when it comes to this particular item. But this place rocks it. Their tortillas are homemade, too. They also sell raspados(shaved ice) in a variety of flavors; great for the summer heat. ;)

Very disappointing… It sounded interesting instead of eating the usual tacos. I tried the tripa and chorizo gordita — neither were very tasty, just bland and dry. Need more toppings at the salsa bar if you are going to serve dry food. Note the«large» drink isn’t very large, more like a small at all other food locations.

This place just opened a few months ago, and I been watching the place since they started working on it wondering if the replacement would be any good. Well, a friend told me they served real good food, so I tried it tonight, but I wasn’t all that impressed. First off, I had ordered the chile relleno gordita because it was highly recommended, but they had sold out and I had to decide on something else. The cashier seemed real annoyed that I had to figure out what I wanted to order, and maybe it had to do with one customer how came in and was now behind me? Anyway, I ordered the beef and red chile gordita and the chicken mole gordita with a side of rice and beans. The beef with red chile seemed to have more potatoes than beef or red chile stuffed inside, and the chicken mole was cold while also having a piece of chicken cartilage. That piece of cartilage sort of grossed me out, but I kept eating my food because I was hungry. Over at the salsa bar, they had some strange imitation of coleslaw that was heavily drenched in vinegar and something else and it smelled so funky just like a bottle of cleaning chemicals. I tasted two of the salsas and they both were fresh and spicy that passed the grade. Also, I enjoyed the blend of chopped red onion and thinly sliced jalapenos. After eating the salsa and jalapenos I decided to order a drink, so I asked for a bottle of Jarritos, but they only had warm ones and gave me a small styraphone cup with ice in it to make up for the warm bottle of soda. That wasn’t very flattering in my opinion. Overall, I wasn’t impressed with the customer service and the food came across as poor, but I would be willing to return and see change their ways.

Ive been here a few times but never posted until now. As far as the food it is good. What makes this places way different than typical taco shop fare is that its only gorditas! The real deal people not the chain meat filling poop for $.99! ugh that’s just wrong and gross. The tortillas are made fresh. Try all the fillings and i guarantee you will be a fan! Seriously the quesadillas are real good… i mean real good.

The first time I visited Las Gorditas was on accident. My intentions were to pull in into Mi Tierra which is right next door to Las Gorditas and after I pulled in accidentally into this place, I just figured I’d try it out. Oh Man! Was I glad I pulled in accidentally. I ordered a combination plate which included three gorditas, rice and beans all for $ 6.50 Normally, I would of ordered two gorditas but I had the munchies that night. I ordered three different gorditas; carne asada, chille relleno and barbacoa. All three gorditas were amazing but my favorite one was the chille relleno. Hands down. After that night, I’ve gone several times back and I’ve tried they’re chorizo with papa and they’re chille relleno quesadilla which is a monster but they were both really good. The rice and beans were delicious. I can tell they use lard on the bans but they were so good so I didn’t care. They have a full salsa bar with three different salsas, hot carrots, onions and limes. As for the beverages, they have the standard horchata, jamaica, tamarindo and they also have a nice selection of Jaritos. They have a great selection of gorditas, great combination plates at reasonable prices and if you still have room for a sweet treat, they have good raspados(Los Pinguinos Raspados).
