…Don’t eat here. Go to Tita’s or Zarlitos for that Filipino food fix. Food here is half assed made, staff is rude and place is not clean at all. Horrible!!!

Visited the shop and got rice for $ 2.17 a couple of weeks ago. Now they raised the price for what seems like a profit — some price the worker made up over the price of their head when I requested it. Seriously??? Was there a shortage of rice or a new tax that’s gone on in the past 14 days? The lady«helping» me was rude too. No thank you. Take your business to Tita’s if you don’t want to be robbed.

Mediocre food. Filthy, dirty, unkept. Trash bins overflowing. Food and tissues on the floor. Tissue dispensers empty. Splatter marks on the walls. Parang carinderia sa Tondo!!!

This was my second visit here. Been here for lunch both times. It is located amongst other neighboring businesses that shares a private parking lot. My friend and I went here during their lunch rush. The line was fairly long and went by slower than expected. I’m glad I wasn’t in a rush to get anywhere. Everyone in line seemed patient. I noticed some people in front of me had more than just their one or two item orders, which seemed to back up the line even more. They weren’t stocking their trays for others in line and most of the tables did not have their napkin dispensers filled. I had to ask someone from another table for napkins. They are very generous with the amount of food for their combos. They really pile up your rice or pancit. You can also ask for half rice and half pancit. They also have brown rice. Their Filipino food is good. I tried their Kare-Kare(hamhocks with veggies and peanut butter based stew), Dinuguan,(aka chocolate meat) can’t really tell you what’s inside, since I don’t even know myself. Sisig(chopped up lechon(pork) mixed in spices and vinegar marinade), and other Filipino comfort food favorites. They also have some desserts. Some dishes are similar to what I grew up with and others are new to my taste buds, since some dishes are cooked slightly different. I will dine here if I’m in the area, craving some Filipino food.

Ordered a party tray of kare-kare. It was all bones no meat a little bit of veggies and the rest is sauce. I will never come back at this place again. The owner probably doesnt even care as long as they get their money. Don’t ever go to this place there are other filipino restaurants better than this.

This will be my first and last time eating here. I spent almost $ 9 for a flavorless meal. I ordered the pancit, sisig and bbq. The pancit had a unpleasantly sweet taste for some reason. The sigsig lacked that distinct vinegar flavor. And the bbq was COLD and it had too much fat on it. I am very disappointed and still hungry. I should have gone to Tita Kitchenette instead!

Where’s the Sisig?! I never find it here! This place is a hit or miss and I certainly missed it. I came here with my mom because she likes this spot for Filipino grub. I was not feeling this place. I had the fried Bungus(milkfish) and Chicken Afritada. Their portions are a good amount but I’d rather have quality over quantity.

food was very good but not very hot(temperature). the menu didn’t make sense to us but we just pointed to what we wanted and asked questions and got a ton of food. very fair prices. I would probably eat here again if in the neighborhood

I used to come here all the time when I was in the Navy. Their best dish here would have to be the Kare Kare and also the beef Kaldereta. Large portions, cheap prices, and authentic.

It was good, authentic Filipino food. The menu is a little funny but that might just be my lack of understanding of the culture. It was good, seemed like it could be allot better, the TV was on super loud with Tagalog language TV on which I still can’t decide if it made it feel even more authentic or it was just annoying cause it was right over our table, but I’d go back if I was nearby.

This place is always a hit or miss. Sometimes you get really good Kare-kare other times its very tough. The kare-kare when it is prepared right its really good. One thing that bothers me a lot is that they are called Karihan for a reason but they run out of Kare-kare OFTEN! you would think for a place named after the dish they would have an abundant supply of it specially knowing people specifically go here for Kare-Kare.

First time visiting this restaurant. The food was really good, fresh and they give you really large portions. I ordered Pancit and Pork Lumpia… delicious! I ordered my food to go, and it was still nice and hot when I arrived home. The container was well sealed with Saran Wrap. No spills in the car :-) I’ll definitely return here again, when I’m in the area.

Food was good but I took one star off because I saw 4 employees behind the counter but only one was serving the customers. But they accept plastic and that worked for me because I didn’t have cash for Tita’s Kitchenette lol

This place is by far the worst Filipino food I’ve ever had! The service was horrible and the food, everything was old! The fried skin was stale!!! I don’t expect the food to be fresh but they had ran out of a lot of food around 5pm and left the trays of bones for display! Never going back! They had 3 people working the front and while one was taking orders the other two weren’t doing shit. I was the 3rd person to order and I didn’t get to order for about 15 mins!!!

Ordered chicken adobo which was tender/flavorful, and goes real well with a glass bottle of coke. Staff could have been more attentive but it’s not like you can expect too much. Looks like it would be a great place for catering.

Ahh… Cheap, filling Filipino food… Karihan is another place to go for panda express style filipino food. Although the selection is not as great as Tita’s or Conching, the taste of the food is good. The line is not nearly as crazy as Tita’s so you can always get your food as soon as you arrive. Being new at Filipino food, the servers were really great explaining each exotic item one by one. The Kare Kare(meat with peanut butter sauce) was very good(something that Tita’s does not have!). Although most of the time now we head to Tita’s or Conching I’ll still head back on occasion to eat at this place.

The food is the best! I’m hooked on the chicken adobo, pancit, and kare-kare. Sometimes I get the lechon kawali. The white rice is always warm and moist. I come to this restaurant like every two weeks when I get the cravings! The owner, Albert, is amazing. Shirley and the other staff are amazing, too – very friendly, family-feel environment. In fact, last summer, they catered my wedding! Everyone at my wedding loved the variety of food. If you ever want to have Filipino food at your wedding or event, ask Karihan! Albert will sit down with you and go over everything that you want; he is super attentive and helpful.
