Yummy and unique! I came for breakfast. Ignore the deserted strip mall, and go! The inside décor is darling and quaint and the menu is diverse. I assume from the masses of people coming and going to this rather small establishment, that the food keeps people coming back. I don’t have a sweet tooth and ordered the sourdough French toast with a side of sausage and bacon. No complaints here and you can get a loaf for home. The staff was sweet and helpful. For being extremely busy, we were seated quickly, everything ran smoothly, and I didn’t feel rushed. Excellent all the way around.

Standard diner fare with stellar décor and friendly atmosphere. Prices are a tad steep. I wasn’t disappointed by my breakfast burrito, but my wife’s Philly cheese steak sandwich was too dry. On this point I trust her; she is a connoisseur of that kind of sandwich. Anyway, funky joint with plenty of mid century paraphernalia to keep the eye busy. Kid-friendly, which means a lot if you’ve got toddlers on the loud side. We’ll return to give it a second try.

Food is good, service is terrible. Waiters are extremely rude and seem bothered by any simple request. It’s very unfortunate that one of Muskegons best food quality breakfast places is staffed by such miserable people. I will not be going back.

Best breakfast place in the tri-cities area! Phenomenal food and service. I had the German Omelette — fantastic. Our server was Jessica, she’s a pro, kind, fast, and anticipated our needs. Good work, Toast ‘N Jams!

Very good breakfast. Great bread. Great service. Homemade jam served with your toast. Corned beef hash is made with real diced corned beef. Overall it was a great place for breakfast and I will be back.

Great breakfast food! It was super busy, so we had to wait a little bit. The food came out fast. The portions are huge! It is a little pricey for breakfast, but worth it!

No brioche. No omelette. Forget Benedict. Never Nutella. Nothing dusted, basted, dirty or flirty. When I wake up in the morning, I celebrate cheating the cold hand of Death once more with the Two«AA» Large Eggs and Toast Breakfast at Toast ‘N Jams Diner in Muskegon. I order coffee blacker than the Kaiser’s heart, two eggs sunny side up(laid by chickens, jimminy crickets!), bacon crisp like my liver, and a slice of rye toast. The 1950s décor at Toast ‘N Jams Diner reminds me of the gold old days when you welded small things onto large things LIKE A REALMAN!

We were in town for a wedding and wanted more than just a greasy spoon for breakfast. This place is great!(In fact, we went back the very next day.) The first morning, I went for sweet and ended up eating half of my husband’s savory. Not because wasn’t good, I just wanted it all! The second day, I went for savory and got a fantastic custom omelette. I wish I could have finished it. As a collector of vintage small appliances(I know, weird), I was enamored with the décor as the restaurant with filled with them on display!

Fantastic! We hit just at the right time, before the church crowd and after the early-birds. We were seated at a very spacious booth in the corner and immediately greeted by our server. Fresh OJ, good coffee, huge portions and large selection makes Toast ‘N Jams a hot spot for breakfast. The décor make this place very fun and inviting. We happily ate as much as we could get down, to fuel up before Michigan Adventures, then we hit the door. We couldn’t believe how many people were waiting for tables. It’s popular, so if you plan a visit, call ahead — they take call ahead seating. Definitely a place to visit if you are hungry and in the area.

Traveling with 4 families. Arrived at around 10:10 am. Told the manager we were 4 families and it was ok to sit separately. He said it would be 20 mins even though the restaurant was packed. Well at 10:30 we were a seated(first star). We placed our order and 30 mins later we noticed our friends we finished. Only problem was that we had not been served yet. We call the waitress over to ask about our food. Seems they put the order right after that. We get our food and it’s not cooked to order. We call the manager who gave us the most bs reason I’ve ever heard but he was nice. We didn’t send the order back because we were holding everyone up. The food was pretty decent. I had the Mediterranean scramble. Flavor was great but seemed undercooked(probably because it was rushed). The strawberry jam was the best(2nd star). The strawberry cheesecake pancakes were not good(daughter has that). I would have given 3 stars but the service we terrible. Our other guests had a better experience(3rd star). Waitress got a $ 2 tip since they didn’t just say«I’m sorry we messed up».

Delicious! Five in our party, each had something different and all was equally wonderful! Also, great place for gluten free. I had gf pancakes and they were outta sight! Don’t let the abandoned strip mall scare you off!

My favorite spot for breakfast/brunch in Muskegon! They have just about everything you can imagine for breakfast and the restaurant itself is much higher end than any other option in the area. Waits can be very very long and the food is quite expensive, otherwise, it’s great!

A bit of a wait, but that was expected because it was busy. The coffee was very good, but again we waited a bit longer than I would have thought for food but no big deal, it was busy, like I said. The good was excellent, I got the breakfast burrito and my girl got the cinnamon roll pancakes, both delicious. Portions could have been bigger but not too much so. The atmosphere and décor and cleanliness were top notch.

My wife and I came here for our anniversary about a year ago and brought a few other family members today. Both times we’ve been floor with the quality of the food, the friendliness of the waitstaff, the promptness of the service, and the value. We’ve now had several menu items and seriously cannot pick our favorite! The cinnamon roll pancakes, the strawberry cheesecake pancakes, and the omelettes we’ve tried have all been outstanding! The strip mall they’re in seems deserted, but don’t let that scare you away. The inside is quaint and very comfortable. Be sure to sign the guest book on your way out. Definitely one of our new favorites in the area.

The food is always delicious and the wait staff is great. The place is decorated with a 50’s theme. Very clean. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are large. The strawberry jam is the best!

A favorite breakfast destination, my wife and I have been to Toast & Jams a few dozen times over the years. Located in a horribly run-down strip mall next to the Plaza Theater, the décor is bright chintzy Route 66 throwback theme. Plenty of tables, booths, and counter space for seating, it is usually pretty crowded but it seems like it was a rare occasion that we had to wait for a table. We both enjoy the food here — always breakfast — especially the breads(from Spring Lake’s Village Baker) and the house-made strawberry jam. I always wondered if they have any other handmade jams beyond the strawberry, but I keep forgetting to ask. This trip my wife had the country fried steak breakfast, while I had the skillet of hashbrowns. Country fried steak was delicious, great gravy and potatoes, and her eggs were cooked perfectly. I didn’t like the skillet of hashbrowns, but not for the ingredients or how it was prepared(perfectly). It tasted great but I just found it to be too similar to their«loaded» hashbrown option as a side, and it didn’t feel like a complete dish(also too much cheese for my taste). As always the breads and jam were a big highlight — sourdough and rye. I swiped about half my wife’s jam because I’m addicted. Four stars rather than five because although the ingredients and flavor and preparation are always great, I don’t care for the design of a few of the dishes. A notable example is the Huevos Rancheros which is almost like a deconstructed version of the dish, with black beans served separately, and a sauce too hidden and subtle to bring it all together. But for great service, ingredients, and flavors, those who disagree on certain dishes will always find something here they like or even love, and we will continue to return periodically for a fine, delicious breakfast.

A very good place for breakfast or brunch. I Drove a half hour to try this place and it was not bad. Not the best but worth a try. One thing I urge you to try and is worth the whole trip is the strawberry jam. Get some to go for under 5 bucks. While the food and service didn’t blow me away the jam made life ok.
