It was alright. The food was good of course but the staff did not seem friendly at all. My mom and I came in & enthusiastically greeted them but they didn’t seem to care. The lady that was taking my orders seemed bitchy & wanted to just take our orders as fast as she could(which is fine but at least smile or say hello). On top of that, the bathroom lights were broken so we had to use a flashlight as an alternative. But all in all, the food was on point. Loved the BBQ

Came here to get a birthday cake, they had a broad variety of designs. A variety of different flavors too(red velvet, tiramisu, mango, etc…). Most were circular cakes I would say about 3″ high and maybe about 12″ in diameter. They had a bunch sitting on a shelf, I thought were fake, but turns out they were frozen. I decided to go with the tiramisu, but went with the one boxed in the freezer, not sure how long those other cakes were sitting on the shelf. They were nice enough to put some writing on it for us, and told us to give it about 2 hours to thaw before serving. When it came time to serve it caftan, but having been frozen the cake definitely did not taste fresh, the cream around the cake was fine, because it was frozen had a texture of ice cream. Don’t think I will be coming back here for cakes. Taste wasn’t all that great and it was almost $ 30.

Tried to get lunch special but my chosen items weren’t included in the options. Only way to get them was in a miniature to go box alacarte. Paid same as for here but got less than half as much. Ughhh.

Remember when you used to be able to walk into Goldilocks, view the hot food table and select what you want? Yeah. THOSEDAYSAREGONE! Weird right? Let’s say you want a combo of Beef and Longonisa — guess what? NOSUCHCOMBO! Imagine the brainiacs at Goldilocks HQ sitting around the conference table chewing on some overdone Tocino, contemplating — «hey, what can we do to piss off the customer and force them to buy something they don’t want???» Yeah! Lets create combos FORTHEM! That way if we don’t have a combo that they want, WECANCHARGETHEM A LACARTE!!! I mean, if you’ve been to the Mountain View store, you can see management’s previous success at «strategery» where they spent hours over-thinking how to manage the customer line. For some reason, management thought it made sense to weave the line is such a way that the front of the line ENDS up at the end of the line — think of it as a «customer loop» if you will. When you finish paying, you wind up at the end of the line and if you’re not careful, you might wind up going back around for another loop. BRILLIANT!!! All of this effort and management FORGETS what makes their business: food!!! Piss off enough customers and poof! No more customers! Management’s «BRILLIANCE» is simply astounding here. As an MBA I’m thinking a Harvard Business Case Study is warranted here on «How NOT to run your business.»

So, you used to be able to be able to order combos and choose which items you wanted from the hot, fresh foods display. But now, you can only choose from the combos they suggest(which, by the way, most of the combos they suggest, they are out of so they choose another item they substitute it with instead of letting you choose which substitute item you’d like to pay for and eat). So, you can either order a combo that you will only eat half of, or you can order family-style entrees that are more expensive and that you can’t finish on your own. All in all, prices went up, you can’t choose your own combos like you’ve always been able to do in the past, the customer service sucks(everyone has an attitude as though they’re too busy and irritated to help you), and the food isn’t even hot. Weird, since they microwave it right before they give it to you. You’re better off going to the sushi place within the same plaza.

The food is alright south of Daly City. Goldilocks has been a staple in my family, and we come here every so often. Great food in a pinch for potluck but a bit pricey!

This place is terrible. The cashier doesn’t know English very well, making it difficult to order, they need to put someone behind the counter to take the orders like panda express. The steamed rice tastmed cheap, and not properly rinsed before cooking. The rest of the the food was okay, not worth a returning customer. The floors are always dirty, liked maybe mopped once a month. I been here several times for lunch, hoping perhaps it would get better, but no. Never again.

Rice was hard and like rubber, beef machado was cold and over priced $ 8. For a small bowl. The service was great though, and the establishment was clean. Deserts were the start of the show. I recommend it and would probably eat here again. :)

I have been coming here for many, many years and how they serve food from the counter now is a long wait. I only have an hour for lunch and the process now is not very helpful to those who are needing to eat lunch. Goldilocks will lose more customers with this stupid process as if you were in INANDOUT burger. Unlike before, they personally serve food right away for you and ready to pay.

Their new design is very counter intuitive. It looks like a dang maze and the fire in my hot Filipino blood did not set well with it. On a Monday night two corporate people are overseeing things as if they are there, in a day to day basis, seeing how things ‘should be’ done. It’s almost frustrating to watch. I have been coming here for over 7 years now and the service was just fine. Don’t fix something that isn’t broken. It’s not a starbucks, you do not need a PLAYBOOK. Meh. Will still probably come here.

If you are going to come to Goldilocks, I suggest you come for the desserts, not the Filipino food. Love their cakes, but their Filipino dishes are just so-so and overpriced. Inside is pretty clean, there was not a lot of people during lunch rush so you get your food quickly, but I doubt I am coming back for a meal. Their bread is delicious, though!

My husband got charged for 4.99 for 2 pcs of longanisa and I found MOLD on my red velvet cake bar. I come here very rarely because the price of the food is not worth it here. Is not like goldilocks in the Philippines, here the food is pretty oily and they always give you more sabaw than ulam

Classic Filipino fare. Good flavor. Had the spaghetti, lechon paksiw, palabok, and sisig — all are delicious!

My friend and I came here around 1130am and the place was empty. My friend ordered a veggie lumpia and I said I’ll have one too. Realizing soon after that I wanted a fresh lumpia instead, I told the ladies about my change of order. the 3 women were perplexed. So at the counter, as I was paying I restated my order: one veggie lumpia, one fresh lumpia and an order of shanghai lumpia. She then said«oh you ordered two veggie lumpia. So I said, please cancel the other veggie lumpia. The lady said«no I can’t I’m already cooking it.» ReaLly? So I cancelled the entire order and left. I can’t comment on the food, but customer service is definitely lacking.

My bf and I would come her for breakfast and the food is ok. They usually don’t serve everything that is on the menu. My bf likes to order longanisa, but they didn’t have any to serve several times we’ve tried to come here. Another time we decided to go here It was a really warm day. We only wanted to order halo-halo. It was 11am when lunch just started. They told us they weren’t making halo-halo because they ran out of milk. What?! How could you be out of milk? There is a costco right next door and your out of milk. I don’t understand why you would not be prepared to serve everything on the menu!

you know when you get in line and you see the food and change your mind about eating it, but it’s too late, you’re in line and you feel like you have to be polite and continue with the transaction. Yeah. It tasted like it looked. Underwhelming, dry and bland.

I’m not sure if it’s just me or has Golilocks changed over the last 10 years? Before I remember it used to be much different, as in the quality of the food. Their cakes aren’t the same, the pasties, and the hot food. Although, this is a chain restaurant, I believe they have lost their authenticity. Pretty much a disappointment, not sure if I’ll be back in the near future.

I’ve been wanting to try Halo Halo for quite some time now. Seeing as how it’s a hot day, why not? There’s a Goldilocks right by my work, so I thought today would be the day. Walking in, there were only 5 people dining and no line. The restaurant was dark and empty. As a Vietnamese girl, I’m pretty disappointed. I haven’t been missing out on anything. The Halo Halo was a little more than $ 6(expensive) and is made up of the same ingredients as our Vietnamese dessert, Che minus the taro ice cream. I think I’ll stick to making my own«Halo Halo».

I’m giving this a one-star review for several reasons: 1. $ 29 for 2 halo halo, 2 chicken adobo, and 2 garlic rice. I kind of felt ripped off. 2. Lack of customer service. My husband and I approached the ordering counter and the guy behind the counter didn’t even ask to help us. So we went to the cashier and she ignored us too. I was pretty upset so I told my husband I’d grab us a table. I was watching from afar and the cashier still didn’t help my husband after a few awkward minutes of standing around. Finally my husband tried to get her attention and she rudely pointed to go to the other guy we first approached. I will never come back here again.
