I am not impressed. The people that came in after us got their drinks first. Not only that, but the strawberry milk tea with boba and strawberry bits was nasty. I thought it was legit going to be strawberry milk tea, but turns out they use strawberry syrup and mix it with their milk tea and just shake it up. The strawberry bits weren’t fresh either. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location for their teas since that’s what I usually get at the Tully location. Also, they advertise that they have Five Stars, but they don’t… Odd.

Love the fruity teas(with real fruit bits, not powdery something or other). Boba is always the right chewiness. I also like that you can buy a Jazen mason jar that fits a thicker straw and get a free add-on. Save the environment one small step at a time and save money? I’m in!

Tutti frutti’s fruit is not ripe and flavorless. Pop corn chicken is tough and like rubber because they microwave pre-fried chicken.

I cannot speak for any of the other drinks or food(they have phở!), so take this first review with a grain of salt. Willing to give this place another try, but it did not make a good first impression on me. Jasmine tea tasted a little bitter and watered-down. The boba was cooked all the way through(thank goodness), but was bland as anything. The menu says they cook their boba in honey, but I couldn’t taste it. Prices are reasonable, but I’m going to have to try some other milk teas on the menu. Tips: –Err on the side of getting sweeter drinks than you normally would. Their milk tea is not very sweet. –Regular-sized cup is pretty big. –They accept credit cards.

Their original milk tea is great. It has a coffee like undertone which is really pleasant. I had their jasmine milk tea last weekend and I would not recommend it(if I hadn’t tried the original milk tea that I took from my boyfriend) then I would probably not like the place. The jasmine milk tea was clearly overstepped and was bitter. There wasn’t a large selection of tea choices like Verde down the street and majority of their options were the fruiter flavors, not the milk tea ones that I like. I’ll have to come back and try their lychee tea that everyone is talking about. They apparently have happy hour 10pm-12am($ 3 boba). Although I think you have to eat in to get the discount because the cashier didn’t give the discount.

Portions are huge, the tea has a weird after taste and is way too sweet(even if you ask for lite sweetener).

This was my first time visiting the place, and it’s decent. It’s a cute little Vietnamese café. Maybe next time I’ll come back for phở. Pros: — Popcorn chicken is good — Large drink sizes — Comfortable atmosphere Cons: — Chicken pieces are smaller than bite size — Drinks are alright.

I love coming here for a quick snack fix. Their tutti fruity, and calamansi fruit teas are my favorites whenever I decide to swing by. Only thing I wish they could do is lighten up the sweetness, cause in turn, it is a sugary drink, but delicious none the less. The potato twisters and their popcorn chicken is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. Maybe I’ll swing by and try their phở next time. The environment is always clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful when you need them.

I would like to preface, I know 3 stars may seem like a negative review. That’s not my intention. This place is perfectly fine! But that’s pretty much it. It’s fine. In a place with such amazing Phở options as the South Bay has access to. Phở Hoa is decidedly average. Pricing is fine. Food is fine. Milk tea was below average(way too much boba and ice). Service was friendly and nice. Location is great. But ultimately, I won’t be returning to this location, not because it’s bad, because it is outclassed by so many other closer, nicer businesses.

Lately my love for milk teas faded away. I’m a new woman now, and I’m all about that fruit tea! Their tea sips are seriously good. I’m trying to try everything on their tea sips menu but dang it, I keep getting stuck at lychee explosion. I think I made a little bit of progress. I’m now stuck between lychee explosion and mango fuzz. Oops. Their potato twist is yummy and fun to eat.

Jazen Tea shares its facilities with the Phở Hoa place, apparently it’s like two separate businesses on Unilocal, which is very confusing, but the Phở and the tea are really good. The tea sips are really different, and good, the stuff floating inside the cup appears to be real fruit, which is probably the best way to get me to eat any. I can easily down three of their large cups in one sitting, but that almost never happens, since they ask me to pay.

Apple caramel boba: lightly flavored, not too overpowering. Barnana(or something like that): it was delicious half way through and then became way too sweet at the end. I couldn’t finish it. Maybe ask them not to put sugar in it. Both nice amount of servings. Value matches quantity :) friendly customer service. Spacious and clean.

Wasn’t the biggest fan of Jazen Tea when it first opened — they had a lot of trouble balancing out their flavors in their tea when they first started. Most of their drinks bordered on too bland, with a couple overly sweet. A couple years later and I think Jazen sorted out their kinks. What makes Jazen stand out from the other boba places on Castro is its combined space with Phở Hoa and their fruit teas. My personal bias, you can get fruit flavored teas with bits of real fruit mixed in. My favorite combination is Lychee Explosion — peach and lychee flavored tea with lychee bits. Honestly I think the drinks have enough going on that you can get enough textural bits from the fruit and not have to add on boba pearls. Beware the stout cups — while hilarious they are not drink holder friendly in the car. But if you hang out at a table with friends, I think you’re in for a good time. They have snacks as well!

This place used to be the Phở House for those people who knew Mountain View in the 90’s and early 2000’s…and guess what, it still is! What is confusing about it is that you go there, and half of the area is for tea, and the other is the old Phở restaurant, but they are the same. Meaning, you can order Vietnamese food and tea within the same venue. Confusing I know, but you’ll know what I’m talking about when you try it out. Service is great and the twist on pearl teas and other drinks are nice! Place needs a tad bit of a clean up, but hey, over look that and you got a nice place to hang out in downtown Mountain View! Indulged on-Calamansi tea(Filipino lime sweetened with black tea and little sugar, with mango substitute for pearls)! Try it and you won’t regret it!

Walked in after visiting the Mountain View art festival. I am a huuge milk tea lover, so naturally, I ordered a regular black milk tea with boba. One noticeable difference between Jazen and other boba establishments(besides the strange partner Phở restaurant) is the tea sweetener they use. Given its unique honey-like taste, it seems like it’d either be a hit or miss. Although I gladly drank my milk tea, I can understand why some people would not be too fond of their drinks.

3.5 stars. I came here with a bunch of girlfriends after a concert and the rude Asian lady at the cashier should not be working in the front. She was not only rude but she had an attitude. I think she had major communication issues which caused multiple problems for the restaurant while we were there. The other Asian guy that was working(he had glasses) was AWESOME and had great customer service. I would give him a 5 star if this review was based on him. Food: Phở is okay at best. I love their little bar where you can grab all the herbs. Drinks: AMAZING!

Hey if you dont want customers get free add-on, please remove it on Unilocal!!!Don’t f**king tell me that’s fine. Im not coming here begging you to give me free add-on. Employee told me she dsnt see anything on my five stars rewards even I told her it is on Unilocal, not five stars genius! My drink came out wrong too. Did she even listen to what I ordered? I ordered mango fuzz with aloe, no ice. Yes because I used free add-on, she only put half amount of mango and half amount of aloe instead of regular amount. WOW. I rather go to Verde for my milktea fix next time im in the area. Gluck to you Jazen! Oh I also posted her pic, be aware!!!

If diabetes in a cup existed, this would be the place to get it… except, it would be diabetes in a tub! But, who can say no to such sweet, sweet goodness? Don’t judge. I have a huge sweet tooth and have no control over my wild cravings. Must quench that thirst with some good olé bubble tea!(: The bright, neon green and white décor mixed with a few stainless steel tables looks like they’re trying for a hip and cool vibe… but for teeny-boppers. A mix of Asian and hip-hop music blasting in the background seems to also confirm this. Bubble teas here are okay at best. The taste and texture of their bobas are inconsistent, and it seems to really depend on who’s making it that day. Sometimes they’re too soft, other times they seem undercooked. So, when coming here I usually opt for their juice-like concoctions! They’re much yummier! Each sip is bursting with fruity flavors… enough to give you a sugar high and melt your worries away! Ohhh… is that why I’m always so happy?! Thanks, sweet tooth cravings!(; Tip: If you like your drinks really sweet, get their Lychee Explosion! So refreshingly good, and perfect for any warm day! Otherwise, their Passion Paradise was also good, but not as sweet. Tip: It seems like they’re trying to be more hip with their new mason jar drinks. It’s a bit pricier than their regular drinks, but they entice you with free toppings for LIFE! So, if you go often… you’ll more than make up for it with these cups. Plus, you’ll get an added ‘cool’ factor bonus! d:

I’ve been to this establishment a few times in the past, even when they first started out as «SipATea» in East San Jose. The last time I came to this MV location w/my BF, it was still just«Phở Hoa», and it is now a new & remodeled«Phở Hoa» combined with«Jazen Tea». Wasn’t too crazy about their fruity drinks then, and it still wouldn’t be my first choice now. On this visit, I tried their Iced Black Tea w/mixed fruit bits. It tasted like a flavorless Vitamin water. One of my cousins was brave enough to kindly ask the employee if I could switch my drink to a lightly sweet Jasmine Milk Tea w/boba instead.(Mind you, I’ve never switched out or complained about a boba drink to any store employee ever.) She kindly and quickly exchanged the watered down Black Tea for the Jasmine Milk Tea without questions asked. My new drink tasted much better! Thanks to my cousin for doing that, my boba taste buds were happily fulfilled for the night. Most of my other cousins got the«Calamansi» drink filled with chia seeds & fruit bits. I tried it from one of them, and it was just not my cup of tea! It looked like mango salsa filled w/water & clumped chia seeds in a big boba cup. I’m glad they enjoyed their drinks though! My other cousin got a Lychee/Litchi cooler(smoothie) which tasted pretty good as well. Great customer service &5 stars reward card accepted here. Like I said, this wouldn’t be my first choice out of all the boba joints in downtown MV, but if I were to come again, I will definitely stick to their Coolers/Smoothies or just the Milk Teas!
