Great food here. Sandwiches and salads are tasty but the gem is the bread bowl clam chowder. Very well made soup. Bread is warmed and fresh. Enjoy this most time seen I go here, but I will get a sandwich every so often. Sadly, you won’t find bread bowl and soup within 90 mins of closing, they make sure they sell out. Due to this, I never go in the last hour of the day. Staff is normally friendly and helpful.

What a nice find. Drove by on my way to the airport, had a little extra time and decided to give this place a shot and set of having to resort to eating more air poop food… and yes, that was not a typo! I Hate(with a Capitol«H») airport food. Anyway, I had a great simple turkey sandwich on sourdough and a cup of soup. Both excellent! And something else to note — the service was waaaaayy above normal. Very friendly, very accommodating and very thankful. Again, it is always nice to be thanked for your patronage. It’s just something you don’t see much of anymore unfortunately. Anyway — this is a great, healthy little place for lunch with fresh-good tasting food! Period. So when is the next season of Silicon Valley going to start??? This is their hood ain’t it??? :).

Decided to come here after such a long day hiking. Not such a good idea. The sandwich and clam chowder both taste really bland. They lack a rich blend of flavor. It filled up my tummy though, but it didn’t make me happy :/My only favorite part is the refreshing fruit punch Hi-C that helped me stay hydrated.

Just moved to Mountain View and gave this a try for lunch. Did the soup and sandwich combo — it was delicious. My sandwich was fresh and the clam chowder was great!

They have fast service and a nice outdoor seating. The thai chicken wrap is definitely my favorite. I love the spicy peanut sauce with extra kick to the sandwich wrap. The give a great portion to their side dishes too.

I love alfalfa sprouts in my sandwich, so was so excited that I found them in my sandwich here! Too bad the kids don’t have the same fondness… Also tried the Greek salad — wasn’t that impressed with that. You will probably just want to stick with the sandwiches. We also got a bowl of clam chowder. I didn’t really get to eat any since my kids bogarted the whole thing. I’ll take that as a good sign.

I’m not from the area and was craving a salad. Stopped by this place and got a shrimp salad. Was def the healthy kick I needed! It was delicious while satisfying my craving. Although I do have to add that the pasta was too salty for my taste.

As a Mountain View resident of 22 years, I hope this place never goes out of business since its been here for as long as I can remember. To me, it’s like a childhood restaurant I would always pass(but never go in because I didn’t like vegetables or anything with the word«sprouts» in it, which a lot of the sandwiches have), but now I have grown to love the place. It’s not like the new, «hip» sandwich places like Ike’s or Sandwich Spot where they use huge thick breads and douse it with some kind of «special» sauce. Instead, they use fresh ingredients on good olé sliced bread that doesn’t leave you feeling overly bloated(unlike the newer sandwich spots). Prices aren’t as bad either, ranging from $ 6 – 8. MUSTTRY: Pilgrim’s Progress(turkey, avocado) and the chili soup(my mom says it’s the best chili she’s had)

My employer had salads and sandwiches catered when we had a training session and thought the food was really good, especially the chicken gorgonzola salad. I had a home visit with another coworker in the area and decided to go the healthy route for lunch so we ended up here. I ended up getting the light and tasty combo, which was half soup and half side salad. I had the Tomato Basil Bisque soup which was sooo good! I chose the raspberry walnut vinegarette for the salad and it was a good portion. I will definitely go back to try more sandwiches, soups and salads! The water cups are cute glass mason jars!

Great customer service. Clean counters, food area, bathroom, fountain drinks, everything. Food looks, tastes, IS fresh. I got the pot belly double everything on an onion roll. Delicious with tobasco. Will be back soon! I didn’t know you were so close to my work.

Fast service. I love the outdoor seating area. I ordered the Thai chicken wrap and it was presented nicely with freshly chopped vegetables and spicy peanut sauce inside with a side portion of it as well. It tasted healthy and was a good portion. I will come back.

One of my favorite lunch places in the world. Fresh ingredients, healthy choices. If you love sandwiches you’ll love this place. It has very fast and friendly service too!

I really do like Erik’s. They serve good quality sandwiches and have very friendly folks working there(this varies by some by location, naturally). The soups are of good quality as well. But I have to say this out of love: Erik’s, either stop the«Respect the Pickle» ad campaign or start serving decent pickles. Your choice. I like pickles. I like the pickles Erik’s serves as a «side» for most, if not all, of their sandwiches. Sometimes they’re a decent quarter of a whole pickle. But more often than not, they’re wimpy bits of pickle that seem to have been sliced into 5 or more pieces. Not normally something one would complain about when the rest of the food is good, but when you arrive and you’re greeted with a sign that says in bold letters, «Respect the Pickle!» you don’t want to receive one of wimpy bits they so often serve. So on my last visit, I spoke to the manager about it. I made it clear that I didn’t want a replacement pickle, just wanted to point out that their ad campaign was just accentuating the wimpy pickles they were serving. So after sitting down to my meal, the manager comes out with a plate of two pickles. Want to guess which two of these three he brought out? Yup. The left two. He hand-picked the middle pickle for the customer who had just 2 minutes ago complained about wimpy pickles. This hasn’t changed my opinion of the food — I still plan to eat there — but it has changed my opinion of the people running the place.

I lived nearby for one year and I have just noticed this place hidden next to 99-ranch in Mountain View. Very nice and clean place, kind service, vintage decorated style with a very relaxed atmosphere. I went for the combo, half sandwich and a bowl of butternut Squash soup. Excellent balance between healthy and fat. Really liked it. Highly recommended! By the way, since it is located in a marketplace, you will find plenty of parking space.

The employees here are pretty rude, and rush your order. I have had to separate experiences with it, and even though they make it seem like it’s just a joke, it can get rather annoying, pretty quickly.(0⁄1 Star) The sandwiches here are okay. Nothing special that stands out, but nothing too bad. I would only go here if there was nothing else to eat, and I needed a quick bite. That’s not bad though, as I would rather starve than going to a place like Denny’s.(½ Stars) The prices are preposterous for what you get. The sandwiches are petite, and I do not mind a small order, but I don’t expect to be charged excessively for something so petite.(0⁄1 Star) The décor is pretty interesting, as they have historical figurines from when Erik’s first opened.(1⁄1 Star)

The hubs and I were visiting my Mother-In-Law at the hospital on Saturday and stopped here on our way home. I ordered our usual(Pilgrims Progress with lettuce) house salad and a bag of chips(we split everything). I really like that Erik’s is so close to the Hospital because I really hate hospital food and this is a great alternative when ya got to feed your tummy. The staff were nice and the dinning area was clean which in some of the other locations isn’t the case. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to bus my own table at the one in Gilroy. So this was a nice change. The sandwich was fine, nothing«fantastic» but the house salad is just weird. I don’t understand the whole pasta salad on my baby greens. Strange. Will we be back? If we’re at El Camino Hospital and hunger … you bet.

Large menu with a lot of tasty options, love that they can make your sandwich gluten free for no extra charge, very quick and not too expensive! I’ve used them for office catering as well and they bring large portions for a good price. Great place to grab lunch!

First time here. Big menu: many different kinds of sandwiches and salads. I had the Combo for $ 7.99 comes with your choice of garden salad and ½ of their sandwich. I chose the Potbelly Sandwich: it’s stacked with tender turkey, pastrami, cheese, alfalfa sprouts and dressing on a proprietary bread. The garden salad was loaded with diff. kinds of greens, some pasta spirals and tomatoes. And I had a medium drink: you choose the usual soda’s, tea’s or lemonade. $ 9.21 is ok, for some better quality food. Customer service: fine and speedy. Store: clean. Bathrooms: clean.

Kind of hidden on the side/corner of the shopping center at Grant and El Camino and parking is a bit of a challenge… I met a business partner here for a meeting and we were able to order lunch, hang out a table in the back, use the Google wifi and get some work done for a few hours. The staff was very friendly and helpful and happy to have us there. I had the shrimp louis salad which came with a large hunk of seeded baguette. It was definitely more than enough food and a reasonable caloric value if you didn’t dump dressing all over it or eat all the bread. The shrimp was surprisingly fresh so I would order it again. Also had a cup of coffee later on and it was fresh… a pleasant surprise since a lot of places leave it sitting to burn. I would definitely go back but if you are watching your intake you’ll want to watch the calories. they are listed on the menu(thank you Eriks) and they are higher than you might think.
