Really nice. Would have loved to go when it was light outside but even though that was the idea of the dinner we still had a great time. The prime rib was great although my daughters salmon was dry. The guy signing upstairs was a bit loud but then we sat by the door. I woudl during cold weather not allow people to keep going to the front of the boat. The open the door go out then turn right around and come in and the table near the door gets cold. But all in all we had a pleasant time. I woudl do it again. Oh and one piece of cheese cake was still frozen… but mine was perfect and the best I have had in a while

My dude’s birthday is today and since he decided to go to work we celebrated his birthday all weekend. I capped it off with a dinner cruise. The only other dinner cruise we’ve been on was in NY and it was cool because there was food and drinks, there were only adults and later in the evening it turned into a club with a really good DJ. Yeeeaaaa, this one was just okay. We walk into the building and there’s this enthusiastic«The Wedding Singer» type of guy playing songs like Earth, Wind, and Fire and the Beegees. Don’t get me wrong I love music, including oldies and the old dude actually had a nice voice… but it was kind of cheesy. I felt sorry for the kids behind the counter having to endure this music all day long. And what’s with the Beanie Babies in a freezer??? Weeeiiiirrrd… We get to the outside area and people are just chillin. Inside beforehand a lady gives us our tix and tells us we’ll be boarding soon outside. Cool. How did we know to get on the boat??? People started walking towards the dock. Sooooo… I guess it’s time to get on? No direction, no «Welcome folks», just people walking towards the boat. We’re in line to get on the boat and my dude had a drink he purchased inside. There’s a sign outside of the building that says you can only bring drinks and food from inside, but there’s a sign closer to the boat that says you can’t bring drinks or food on the boat(although my purchased bottle water was allowed). So he had to drink it real quick(alcohol-not a good idea) or dump it. It was a horrible drink anyway so he dumped it. We get on the boat and it’s okay. Flies all around… my cheese plate is sitting on the table. Hmmm… how many flies landed on my food? Whatever, it’s already paid for. Nothing we can do now. But some saran wrap would have been nice. Mmmm… nothing like some fly throw up. The cheese plate is okay. They should have added some grapes and/or strawberries for a little sweetness. The salad was okay. I mean iceberg is like drinking water and I’ve never had the combination of ranch and balsamic before. The ranch was okay and I barely tasted the balsamic. My husband’s prime rib was not seasoned at all. He added tons of salt to his. The end piece of my salmon was perfection, but when I barely made it to the middle of the fish, the texture was like chicken. Smh… I should have known better to order salmon. Rarely do «okay» restaurants get this right. It was so overcooked I couldn’t eat another bite. The lemony sauce on the fish was good though. I used the rest of it for my potatoes and veggies as both of those needed some sort of salt element. The only great part of the meal was the cheesecake. It was actually pretty good, and I’m assuming it’s because they didn’t make this. I can tell a store bought cheesecake from a homemade one. I’m sure they just threw some blueberries and blueberry juice on it with a swirl of whipped cream. Nice touch. The best part of the entire experience was a view of the houses. The lake houses were pretty dope. Had us laying out our retirement plans which included purchasing a lake house. Better to start planning when you’re young, ya digg. The food was ‘mer’ and there was no entertainment at all. The service was good and the drinks were cheap. My dude had 3 Blue Moons’ and I had 4 Pineapple Sprites and that came out to like $ 10. That was another highlight of the experience. Although we did just pay $ 75 pp for so-so food. We won’t be going back. Just used to a little more flair I guess. But if you’re into a peaceful float on the water with so so food, then by all means try it out!

My first trip out on the Lady on the Lake dinner cruise was a fairly enjoyable one. The staff here does a great job of ensuring guests have a great time. I really can’t vouch for their advertising but it seems like they really don’t go above and beyond to make the locals aware that this service is out there. I purchased our tickets through Groupon, for half the cost, and that was the first time I had ever heard about it. I would like to say the Groupon is well worth it. To elaborate on your purchased ticket– you get a 4-course meal, with the option of water or tea(sweet/unsweet). If you want a soft drink, such as a Coke or Pepsi, they charge you an extra $ 2. Wasn’t a fan of this nickel and dime. See also the link below for their food options. However, what they lack in soft drink cost they seem to make up in alcoholic drinks– $ 3 for beer, $ 4 for wine, $ 8 for mixed drinks. I did expect to pay more for these, so I was glad to see the prices stayed fairly modest. The food was just ok. The salad was simply lack luster, small. The main course I had, grilled Salmon, was pretty good. Didn’t care for the baked potato still wrapped up in foil, and I think they can do a little better on the overall presentation. The desert, cheesecake, was probably the best part of the meal. The atmosphere of being on the lake was phenomenal– especially when the weather cooperates. Great views, and there were a few informational announcements on the lavish lake homes out on the lake as we passed by. The boat itself is ok. Interior-wise, think of a diner on the water. Exterior-wise, the boat could have definitely benefitted from a high pressure wash. Lots of dirty windows. Also, the attire is more casual than I originally anticipated. I went out here in a full suit and felt somewhat out of place. In the summertime, shorts and a nice polo are ideal. With everything considered, I would definitely attend this again. However, unless revisions were made to their food quality and presentation, I probably won’t be paying the full ticket price anytime soon. Web addy:

Overall it was a pleasant experience, the food was good and the weather was perfect with calm water and the May 5th «supermoon» in the sky(although that is out of their control) The crew were professional though they seemed a bit short staffed with a full boat, we didn’t get much personal service but I can’t fault the staff for that. The boat left around 7:15 so there was plenty of time to watch the sun set. The only complaint was that we were seated at the back of the lower deck right in front of the kitchen where the food was being shuttled to and from. If you can request a seat the best are at the very front of the lower deck or on the top deck. Also there is a really noisy AC vent at the back of the lower deck that was blowing freezing 60 degree air the whole night.

VERYROMANTIC! My boyfriend took me on a dinner cruise for one of our very first dates, and I had a fantastic time. The food was great, the weather was beautiful, and the company was amazing. Everyone dressed up for the occasion so it made the atmosphere very elegant. Dinner is your choice of Prime Rib, Salmon Filet, or Vegetarian Lasagna. The entrée comes with a Baked Potato, Salad, Bread, Butter, Cheesecake, and a drink. Cash Bar is also available. After dinner you sail out onto the sunset, where you can go to different parts of the boat, look out over the water, and have a quiet moment with your special someone. My special someone made this date absolutely perfect. Can’t want to return!
