Good diner, typical for a diner, which is good considering the location. There are not many good eateries in the area like there was way back when. With the Walmart here now, you would think more eateries would be coming back to get people, but still not much. really, miss Lefty’s

Haven’t been to the Blue Horizon for a year and decided to take in-laws for dinner. I was very disappointed to the point of embarrassment. Soups were bland, dinners arrived looking like a plate of beige muck covering tasteless meat underneath. I tried to politely scrape off the muck to find the ‘food’ underneath– who would give an 80– year old a plate of salty gravy– really? We should have walked out at that point. Meatloaf and potatoes tasted like third– day leftovers. Service was nonexistent. Twice we had to go find the server, dinner lasted 2 hours which was a long time to sit and try not to look at what was on the plate. This cannot be the chefs fault, management has a lot of nerve charging $ 14.00 for what I imagine prisoners must eat for free very night. I have had better meals in the hospital.

We had what was billed as the Yankee pot roast it ended up being slices of mystery meat with canned gravy we also tried the moussaka. What came to the table was anything but moussaka If you’re in the mood for freshly prepared flavorless frozen food this is your place it’s unfortunate I had come here for many years a huge disappointment

Eggs/bacon and waffles are delicious and prepared exactly how we requested. The wait staff is awesome and very personable. My family and I frequent this establishment and the staff is welcoming and remembers us each and every time we go there.

Food was okay. Staff was too busy goofing around. Been here probably five times in the past year and each time it seems to get worse. The past time the wait staff was talking/yelling across the restaurant to each other. They never came over and asked how we were doing, our drinks were empty, it took 15 minutes just to get a box to go.

I have to admit. The food was just fine. Basic diner food. Everything was cooked how we asked. But the service was awful. Our waitress was short when we asked questions about the menu. And the response we kept getting back was huffs and puffs and sucking her teeth. Are you kidding me?! The waitress almost never came over to check in to see if we needed anything(I don’t need my waitress to be on top of me nonstop. But a check in once or twice during the meal would be nice) And at the end of the meal when we asked for to go boxes she basically chucked them at us and walked off. The kicker is it wasn’t even busy. No reason to be so short and rude. I won’t be going back any time soon.

I liked everything about this diner. Free parking. Check. Quick seating. Check. Large roomy booths. Check. Menu had lots of choices. My party had a hamburger deluxe and asked to have a fried egg on the burger. Yup. These are the people I hang out with. They have it their way. Another person had the double turkey cheeseburger and I had the spinach pie which came with soup and salad. My spinach pie took a bit but when I looked at it I could tell it had been freshly made. Ok. I wait for fresh food. No problem. The salad was good with an amazing garlicky dressing which came on the side. The spinach pie was not the best I ever tasted– it was average. Needed some more feta cheese in it. Matzoh ball soup was good. Turkey burgers were good and so was the burger with the egg on it. And they only upcharged $ 1 for the egg. How cool is that? I could see another place charging $ 1.95 or so. I tasted the fries from the hamburger deluxe platter and had to order my own side dish of fries. They were crispy and delish. The star of the show was our cool, efficient and friendly waiter. I don’t remember his name but he was young, bubbly and could not have given us better service(on duty Saturday afternoon – management, you have a gem here). Anyway, we showed our gratitude in the tip. I would definitely eat here again.

The décor was interesting /funny /nostalgic — it was right out of the 80’s! The menu is huge and has a great offering. We were there for breakfast this time… a lot of food for the money. Very fresh home fried potatoes and beautifully fluffy pancakes were the highlight. Friendly service, and a homey atmosphere. No frills, but a good place to get your grub on!

Great breakfast place. Had a choice if a breakfast buffet or sit down waitress service which is what we chose. Pleasant help and attentive service. Eggs and pancakes were cooked to perfection. For breakfast it’s a great choice

I had some kind of lemon rosemary chicken when I was there in the past week. It was pretty good. Needed salt, and I think I’ll be asking for penne with it next time, as the pasta given was hard to pick up with the slippery sauce. Good though, I’ll probably eat here again.

The wife and I found this Diner a couple of months ago, I believe in August of 2012 or so. It’s a small diner with friendly wait staff and quality service. The food is great and I’ve never had a problem with cleanliness or anything of the sort. My food is always nice and hot, my coffee always decent and we always have a great meal when we do visit. A simple and friendly place. I usually order an omelette with fries and a extra plate of fries. The wife and I eat at many diners as well so this isn’t an off the cuff analysis. We’ve visited this place about a good 6 – 7 times at very different times.

A nice diner we found by just getting off the highway. We both had a lunch special that came with soup, sandwich, and desert. and I started with the Matzah ball soup which wasn’t huge but very good. I had a lamb sandwich and my friend had a turkey burger. Both were excellent. The place was nice, the staff was friendly, the cost was right, and the food was very good. I don’t want to give it five stars because it is a diner, but it is a very good one.

The food was pretty good and prices were reasonable. They have lunch specials until 3pm every day. Why wasn’t my rating higher? I saw the hostess using the bathroom and leaving without washing her hands. And then I had to go to her to pay my bill. She was handling me a pen, receipts and I was thinking if she was the only one in that diner not washing her hands. Not sure if she was the hostess all the time or if she was filling in for somebody(she was sitting people and taking payments). No one in my party got sick, but that incident left a bad taste in my mouth.

It’s one of the best places in town. The food is pretty good, and they have a breakfast buffet on Sunday mornings. The buffet needs a tiny bit of work though. My orange juice, which was self-dispensed was very watery(to the point of tasting disgusting), and they don’t have napkins at the tables for even the neatest of eaters. However, the service is top notch.

The place is clean, they offer a huge variety of items on their menu and the prices,(especially on some items) are very reasonable. I always eat the same thing, either a burger or a fresh ham sandwich. Both are delicious. The staff is always more than willing to get you what you want and they are so friendly. At any given mealtime, the place is packed. I have never gotten sick here like other reviewers claimed they did, so I agree that there may have been problems with a stomach virus or something that actually caused the problem. From working in the area, I know that they have never failed a Bd. of Health review, so the kitchen is clean also. If you do decide to go, don’t miss out on the matzoh ball soup. They have it every day and it is out of this world. Go, Eat & Enjoy!!!

Pretty good convenient place to eat… I wouldn’t drive out of the city to end up eating here per se, but if I’m in the area it’s a good destination!
