An awesome road trip stop. Fresh real food — got the meatloaf lunch special. I was pleased that the mashed potatoes weren’t from a powdered mix and the veggie side was stir fried deliciously. My partner got the western omelette and home fries, all fresh and nicely prepared. Maybe it’s the Nyc in me speaking, but this was super affordable! 17.93 plus tip for two meals and coffee/tea :)

Stopped in for breakfast this morning and had the corned beef hash and eggs. It was very good. No complaints at all. Service was prompt, with a smile and the food came out lightning fast. I believe the cook had magical powers and just wished the food on the plate. My second experience was better than my first by far even though the coffee thing still irks me. I will be coming back.

Really great service. Very attentive staff. Ordered the salmon omelet. Strong fish flavor but very stuffed omelet. Big portions. Cheap prices.

This was a solid little road trip stop. BLT and fries to go, nothing crazy– I think it’s a little pricey for this type of diner and I have never in my life seen ‘tuna in a can’($ 7) on a menu but hey… The woman who put our order together was very polite and friendly. Good coffee too.

Different experiences at different times here. The burger sliders are very good. Would surely recommend those. Other foods have had issues on times, but thankfully it was somewhat fixed. The place could use some work from the old time feel. The driveway also needs fixing. I hope they become more modern and hang in there.

Excellent food. Impressively prepared wih fresh ingredients. The place is clean and«contemporary cottage diner style» décor. If u can’t find something on this full menu, then u probably are not hungry. Nice folks work here. First time here was after a visit to the doctor and fasting for a blood test. We were delighted with the place. Next visit to the doctor — stopped here again for early dinner. If u r in sullivan county area, eat here.

Been back a number of times recently. Since it does a very brisk business I’m not the only one who likes it here. I will say, order one of the breakfast specials, even if you don’t want all of it, the deal is better than ordering a la carte items, adds up fast that way. This local place is a good source of whats happening locally, they have the local papers, the locals go there and everyone talks. Very nice environment that way. However, the parking area remains a mess, and I just don’t understand why they don’t make it better. I’d go up a star if the parking were better, or if the a la carte items made more sense price wise, but given those two things, three stars it is.

What it lacks in ambience, it makes up for with a solid breakfast and fast service. It’s inexpensive, too. I recommend The Howie. The home fries need work; not a home I want to live in.

We found ourselves at the Rock Hill Diner en route to picking my son up from camp. We were early to get him and figured breakfast was in order. Being a Long Islander, I’m so used to(and sick of, sometimes!) the vast array of chain and fast food places that litter the landscape. A beautiful plus of upstate NY is the lack of both and more Mom & Pop establishments in it’s place. So we see a billboard for Rock Hill Diner and pull over. Very humble little joint, like a glorified trailer space, really. In the entry way, pamphlets with things to do in the Catskills litter the space and for a second you think, ah, maybe this wasn’t a good idea! LOL But your appetite moves you forward. I’m glad it did because a really good and cheap breakfast was waiting. The service was warm and quick. Nice sized pancakes and a really delicious thick cut bacon perfectly cooked. I ordered my home fries very well done and they were just what the doctor ordered! Our waitress was super nice and down to earth. She impressed me with her kindness when a group of about 10 came in, mostly kids, one in the group was special needs. She wasn’t just nice to him, she went out of her way to be really kind. It just warmed my heart. It’s the little things sometimes, eh? We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

Back for a second time because the food was so good! It was a couple months ago that I was here and my memory is not so great. I don’t remember the main dish but I do remember it was surprisingly fantastic for a basic diner like this. That is why I’m back and I will keep coming back. I do remember the potato pancakes were very good and the sautéed mixed veggies was cooked perfectly and so delicious. Partially carmalized. :-) Sorry to hear someone had a bad breakfast here. I haven’t tried the eggs.

Food is great. Was there this past weekend. Once for breakfast and then went back for lunch the next day since we enjoyed the breakfast! The portions are plentiful and very tasty. The prices are most reasonable. It sure tatses like home cooking to me. The roast pork sandwich I had was excellent. Will always make it a stop when I am in the area. Down home, friendly type place

Oh dear. How could you possibly muck up scrambled eggs and home fries? Burned toast too! My word. I don’t know what else to say.
