I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised. Great food and the girl working the counter was very friendly and helpful. I did notice other younger people working who seemed to not really care that we existed but overall we enjoyed it and will be back!

I was robbed at gunpoint once and I found that to be a more pleasurable experience than the one I had at Jacks Pizza Café. The pizza actually tasted a lot better than it looked, and that’s the only reason I’m even giving this place two stars.

We come here for the pizza buffet, on mondays. They always ask us our preference and start a pizza when we pay even if pizza is already out. It has been packed inside and we never waited more then 5 minutes for new pizza. They have great pick up deals. Its always hot and never disappoints. Best pizza in the area and can’t beat the prices. The staff is kind, and even when we dont come in for a month they remember us. Very happy we found this place.

I’m only writing this review for hopefully a redemption of effort from the business, maybe a better system can be in place due to this experience. I was perplexed to get a call from Jack’s pizza café after I had placed an order for delivery. I placed said order and then in 20 minutes received a call back explaining the wait will now be extended. The wait was already at 1 ½ hours. I decided to cancel and then order from another pizza restaurant. Bummer.

Jacks pizza café is definitely my new favorite pizza establishment in town! I love coming here and ordering the pizza buffet Monday night to watch the game. Plus they have my favorite beer, 805! There pizza crust is the best and they have a wide variety of pizzas that they’ll let you request to be put out on the pizza buffet. Very friendly staff, this is now my go to pizza place

Jacks pizza is right around the corner yet I’ve never been there. I normally call Round Table but received a coupon and decided to try. That night I had the best pizza I’ve had in years. My son and husband had a Calzone and agreed it was the best. First trip and hoping my next trip is as good!

If you want mediocre food go for it. I decided to give this place a chance based on some reviews I read here and it was not worth it. The wings are terrible. The potato skins taste like they never cleaned the oven. And the pizza is bland. Save yourself the money and go to the grocery store and buy yourself a frozen pizza and frozen potato skins. It’ll taste better.

Despite the poor reviews, I recently decided to give this place a shot a few weeks back. I had read the reviews stating that it took forever as far as delivery, service, etc… but remained optimistic as I rang them up. This air-headed sounding young man(I believe his name was Zack) picks up, and I proceed to ask him how long delivery would be. I hear him asking a girl near him what she thought, and so at first he tells me it will be about 3 hours… and then the girl(manager?) next to him keeps telling him otherwise, so he’s like«It’ll be about 3 hours… no, probably more like 2… no… it shouldn’t be more than an hour and a half.» Now, here’s the main point… ITSHOULDN’T EVEN F*CKINGTAKEANHOURAND A HALFTOGET A F*CKINGPIZZAON A WEEKDAYATNOON, LETALONE3HOURS! But, I attempt to keep my cool and ask him why it would take so long. He says it’s because they only have one driver. I then, of course, ask… «Well, if you always have complaints about the delivery time, why don’t you hire more drivers?» His response? Wait for it… «Because we can’t afford it.» …uh…er…excuse me? Twat did you say? I just felt my mouth turning up in a smile that was solely brought on by how ridiculously incredulous this was to me as I asked…“May I please speak to the store manager?“ He then hands me over to a girl who identified herself as the store manager. As I related to her what happened, she interupted me by saying, «Yeah I heard him tell you it was only going to be about an hour and a half.» I then say, «Oh ok, well then you must’ve also heard how he had no idea whether it was 1 hour or 3 hours? Did you also hear how he said that you can’t afford delivery drivers?» «Uh…no I didn’t hear that.» I then proceed to tell her how horribly unprofessional this is(because duhhhh apparently these idiots don’t know and/or don’t care) and that I would like to speak to her district manager. More of her fumbling for words as she proceeds to outright LIE to me. She says that he was in Canada that day… and that there is NO phone number to ever reach him… and that that his personal email address is: Ohhhh boy folks… I do not forsee this business staying open for much longer, thankfully. I still have yet to try a bite of their food. But I’m pretty sure that anyone who has, now knows what incompetence tastes like.

I have ordered from Jack’s about 10 times both dine in and delivery. The pizza is is worth 4 stars, the cleanliness of the place is a single star. If only given more effort this place would be awesome.

I’ve ordered from here a few times after finding them on Unilocal and I’ve had hit or miss experiences. Last night was a huge miss. I ordered their special that comes with a large pepperoni, appetizer, cheese bread, and a soda. Well it took over 2 hours to get to me. When I called after the hour and a half mark they said that the driver had left a long time ago and should be there any minute. Needless to say, we got $ 30 worth of cold and old food. The pizza was decent enough given the fact it sat around in some guys car for an hour. Won’t be ordering from them again. Very disappointed. I wish I could go back and unspend that $ 30.

I’ve given this place multiple chances, it’s just not happening. Service: Both times I ordered(via the Unilocal delivery app) it has taken 2+ hours to even get here. I’m not sure if that’s Unilocal’s issue or Jack’s. When I called this last time to get an ETA the first girl couldn’t find my order and the other just said, «I told them an hour and a half.» Told who? Me? No. That’s what I’m calling about… Unilocal’s email to me gave me the restaurant’s phone number to call about delivery questions so what’s the deal here? Food: I ordered the garlic cheesy bread and the vegetarian pizza with three sides of marinara. The garlic cheesy bread was literally cheese melted on top of a sesame seed hot dog bun… The bun wasn’t even toasted, it was literally just soggy bread topped with melted cheese. The veg pizza was undercooked, soggy, and made with white sauce instead of the red that the menu said it’d be made with. As far as the side dips, I received one marinara and two ranch. Nope nope nope. This place sucks and their sign has been broken and blinking for over a month. Never going back here again.

Where do I start with this place… Headed in here after class with a friend to eat some pizza. I heard they had a student discount for their lunch buffet so I figured«What’s the worst that can happen!» Apparently, these guys are experts on ensuring that experience so props for that. I walked up to the counter and inquired about the buffet student pricing. I got a eye roll and no actual response. She simply asked for ID, ran my card, and handed me two plates/1 cup to then immediately walk as far as possible from my vicinity. Perfectly understandable if I smelled like their bathrooms, but luckily I do get cleaned more than once a week so that was not the case. Anyways, after one of the most questionable customer service of my life, I approached the soda machine to get some liquid sugar. Dr. Pepper is my jam, and unfortunately their machine was out of juice. My friend immediately let the staff know that the machine was out of syrup for dr.pepper. Our favorite employee acknowledged him and then proceeded to continue talking to the rest of the staff who were busy doing absolutely nothing. After this, I approached the buffet. In it consisted of 4 small pizzas of a few different types. What types exactly I couldn’t tell you since nothing was labeled, and often the trays shared multiple pizza types on them. At first glance, it seemed like supreme, pepperoni, and bbq chicken. All of ok quality granted they were clearly there all day. Some of what I thought was bbq chicken was some other mystery pizza with substantially too much hot sauce and not enough flavor. The main problem was that the utensils used to remove pizza from the heating station were hotter than the actual pizza. So you just burn your hands trying to use the thing there to prevent you from burning your hands. Now I am not a master in buffet design but I feel most customers do not want to burn their hands to get old trash tier pizza. However, I suppose some are desperate enough for food after a long day like myself and can fight through the pain. Perhaps they just have a good niche for people like that? Over the course of the unfortunate 45 minutes I spent there, they never replaced the dr. pepper syrup or made more pizzas despite most of them being picked over or completely gone. They spent the entire time bullshitting in the front. 3 employees doing absolutely nothing. To say the least, I will never come back here again. Perhaps if the owner hired a single employee that kinda cares sometimes this place would have a future but as it stands now I can’t think of a worst place to eat for lunch. Even their dumpsters have a better selection of pizza of similar freshness. Hell, there is probably some Dr. Pepper in there too and the bums back there are nicer than the people they have upfront.

Got a flyer in the mail advertising«Family night» on Mondays and Wednesdays, which entails a pizza and salad buffet for $ 5.99 per person. Showed up on a Monday night around 5:30pm with my son and we ordered two buffets. We were given two plates each, and we ordered drinks as well. As we went to fill our drink cups at the soda fountain, there was a note saying the ice machine was broken and to «please conserve ice.» Lol. Okay, I won’t fill up any ice chests. As we went to get pizza, there was(no joking) ONE slice of pizza sitting out at the buffet. I gave my son the slice and planned on making a salad while we waited for more pizza to come out. That’s when I noticed the plate I was about to make my salad on was dirty and had dried food(cheese) stuck to it. The spot where clean utensils are supposed to be kept was completely empty, and I didn’t see clean plates either. After a little while, they brought out a pepperoni pizza, which was immediately gone since there were a few of us waiting by that time. This place has either never done buffets before and are learning, or they’re very cheap, bringing out one pizza at a time and making people wait. As I mentioned above, this was on a Monday night, and with the sports bar theme, you’d think they’d have Monday Night Football on, right? Wrong. Sometime during the second quarter(right before halftime) one of the worker’s figured out how to work the TV’s and turned on the game. While we were eating, a large group with balloons and a birthday cake showed up to celebrate someone’s birthday in the back room this place rents out. Unfortunately, there was a big group of young guys sitting in there watching MNF by this time, and they had to be cleared out and the room cleaned up before the party could be let in. Overall, this place was a disaster. I would have been very upset if I was a member of the party mentioned above. I don’t consider one pizza sitting on a hot plate a «buffet» either. Just avoid this place. There’s no reason to come here at all.

Had a really delicious Calzone and some insanity bread! The wife really liked the bread too, which is a definite win. Unfortunately she didn’t like the calzone… … but I thought it was pretty good. At least she and I both know we’ll enjoy the crust here f we ever decide to try their pizza while in Modesto. Service was swift and easy.

Came here with family on a Sunday night, had a great time! Pizza is very good, the sauce is sweeter than most which is my preference. Toppings are flavorful and crust is average, which isn’t to say it isn’t good, more so that it didn’t blow my mind. Wings were pretty dry, I suggest asking for extra sauce. The young employees here are very helpful and kind. The only thing I would upgrade are their outdated restrooms and weak salad bar. Other than that, pretty good experience and might stop again soon.

So, jacks pizza café has good food. That’s why my boyfriend and I continued to go back, but here’s the problem: the teenage workers just really don’t seem to give a shit. The past 3 times my bf and I have gotten one plate and had to wait between ten-thirty minutes for our other plate. The kids who work here, apparently unsupervised, offer no apologies and just have this blah attitude. Having one person waiting that long for their food is bad, but the workers uninterested disposition is worse. They never act like they car or act happy to see a customer, or even that they are aware they should have a good attitude to work with the public. Who does their hiring? Also, I tend to find it pretty alarming how the place is only superficially clean. The condiments are always filthy and empty, like they never get cleaned, the parmesan lids and red pepper lids are grimy with finger prints, and the ladies room looks like something found in the back of a ghetto Tiajuana bar. Its disgusting. Someone obviously cares about this place because the food is so good, but then why take no pride in the place its self? I don’t think we will be back again.
