Food was delicious. We had a mixture of breakfast and lunch. Bacon, eggs, sausage, and potatoes — ONPOINT! Bacon was well done to perfection, and potatoes had a nice crunch to them. Which is nice when eating chunky potatoes. I don’t like big chunks of soft potatoes, so this was perfect! My son ordered kids chicken and fries, which is enough to feed like 2 – 3 kids. Taste was perfect too! I’m definitely coming back, and bringing others with me!

Heard about this this place through a co-worker. Took my boys to breakfast and it was wonderful! Love the hawaiian flair to the menu. The seating is pretty tight, but it seems to work as the staff is constantly out on the floor clearing tables and helping people get seated. The food is worth the small inconveniences! Adding this place to our«usuals».

I had the Florentine scramble that came w/potatoes &2 pancakes. My husband got the Khalua pork eggs Benedict, & spam & pancakes for our lil one. Everything was really good & tasty. Great size portions but not over the top where you feel like a piggie. Prices are very reasonable! I was debating on Paul’s Pantry on Crown Valley or this place… But when I saw the review about Paul smoking inside his own establishment & not giving a d@mn, it turned me off of the place! Especially since I’m currently pregnant. I gotta say the best part of Stack’s was the service. Every single person working there was genuinely nice & helpful throughout our visit. This was our first time trying it out & will be coming for lunch next time!

I came with my boyfriend on a Saturday morning around 10am, and there was a line out the door. It took about 10 – 15 minutes to get to the cash register, where you order your food, then you find a seat, and lastly your food is brought out to you. There are seats inside and outside, so we were able to get a seat outside. The waiters brought water to you, and were very attentive. I ordered the 5 stack of the Macadamia Nut Banana pancakes, and my boyfriend ordered the Spicy Chicken waffle. Both of these brought the bill to not even $ 20, which is a great deal for the amount of food you’re given. The Macadamia Nut Banana pancakes were large and delicious, but since there was so much, I started to feel a little queasy towards the end. The Spicy Chicken waffle was also really good, and my BF enjoyed it a lot too. I would definitely come back here to try some more stuff on the menu, especially since there’s so many different choices. I can’t wait for them to open up in Irvine!

I love this place like no other. The pancakes here are surprisingly super fluffy and light. The place is kind of small but there’s plenty of seating outside as well! And the pricing for the breakfast here is fair for the amount of food you’re getting and the quality as well! When I come here I usually love getting the Macadamia Nut Crunch French toast. It’s so buttery and crunchy, drizzle that coconut syrup on top and its amazing. I’ve been trying to branch out to other menu items such as the scrambles which are alright and the Benedict which is pretty okay! The potatoes that they both come with I expected to be amazing, but they fell short and taste bland and unseasoned. Next time I visit this place I’ll try something new… Maybe? But my heart will always belong to that French toast. Please open up a location in North OC!!!

I really liked this place, it’s a Hawaiian breakfast spot that is crazy popular. They are only open from 6:30am-2pm. The line that goes out the door is the line to order and pay, after you order and pay you look for a table. The inside is on the small side but the tables flip pretty quickly, on a nice day there is also an outdoor patio area. I also thought the prices were really reasonable, I remember most dishes were between $ 7-$ 9 bucks. The food: Spicy Chicken & Bacon Waffle– Chicken Katsu, Applewood Smoked Bacon, cheddar cheese, spicy mayo. Topped with maple syrup and powder sugar. Oh baby, baby! This was awesome! I thought this was great and it was an interesting twist to use chicken katsu as opposed to regular fried chicken, the chicken katsu were chicken strips so they were easier to eat. The chicken was nice and tender and had good flavor. The waffle was excellent, it was super cheesy and was sweet and savory from the maple syrup and hot sauce. The bacon added a nice crunch but kinda took a back seat to everything else. This is a must order. Stack of Pancakes– These were so damn light and fluffy! They were like eating little pockets of air lol I think butter and maple syrup is all you really need, the coconut syrup I thought was Ok even though people swear by it. The pancakes were so good. Loco Moco– Hamburger patty on steamed rice. Topped with two eggs and brown gravy. This was my first ever Loco Moco, it was so comfy and homey, but it wasn’t as exciting as the other dishes, it kinda feels like something mom would have whipped up. The brown gravy really reminded me of Salisbury steak, hamburger patty tasted like a breakfast sausage patty and was good but not mind blowing. The egg and yolk is kinda the glue that ties everything together. Overall, a good dish.

All in all, solid first visit. I ordered too much food, knowing I wanted to taste several things and would only visiting once while in the OC… Tough decision… So many things looked good! I settled on the Florentine Scramble, upgrading the homestyle pancakes to the Banana Mac-nut pancakes. Plus coffee(of course!) This made my overall bill pricey for one person(~$ 15), though one could spend much less than I did and get a great meal. The meal was HUGE! The pancakes are enormous. They tasted good, with very subtle macadamia nut flavor. I would have loved a little more crunch in them. My florentine scramble was fabulous. YUM! This place appears very popular. I arrived just before 8AM on Sunday morning. You can’t grab a seat until after ordering and we had 6 peeps in our party. By the time we all arrived and ordered(slightly after 8AM), there wasn’t seating for 6 inside so we had to sit outside. Fortunately, they have heaters so even on a chilly, foggy morning we were ok outside. I’d definitely return, hopefully sharing a variety of dishes to sample more of the menu. :-)

I didn’t have very high expectations entering Stacks, as I’ve been disappointed by the mundane so many times in the generic breakfast places. This at once appears pretty standard, even though the menu had a Hawaiian slant. I noticed that there were hand symbols with thumbs up on some items, and asked what the significance was. The clerk informed me that those were the customer favorites. I was leaning toward a benedict dish, but kept being drawn to that silly thumb next to the Portuguese sausage. My wife opted for a chicken and bacon waffle concoction. Orders taken, we seated ourselves and waited for the food, which took less than ten minutes. My dish: This was an immediate disappointment. Two small over easy eggs, and five slices of a polska kielbasa looking sausage. They were swallowed in the plate, as the bread was on a separate one.(You can choose pancakes instead of toast.) I think if the toast was served with the sausage and eggs, my plate wouldn’t have appeared so pitiful. Funny how plating can have such an impact. My suspicions, however, were quickly dissolved once I cut into the eggs, which were exactly like I prefer, and tasted that sausage. I really, really liked the sausage. Heat, but not too much, and while it first appeared to be a small portion, I didn’t finish the sausage. I even gave my wife a piece, and she loved it too. Also, the sourdough toast was quite good, and I did end up liking my breakfast, but there are too many other interesting things there to order it again anytime soon. My wife’s waffle: This came out shortly after mine, and I was immediately intrigued. What the hell is that? The waffle took up the whole plate, was covered first entirely with a thin chicken katsu, then strips of tasty bacon, and finally all smothered with a chipotle cheese sauce. Insane! And wonderful. I had a few bites of the light, spongy waffle and made sure to get pieces of chicken and bacon. Heavenly. This was just too good. Then she pours syrup all over it. Sheesh! Even better. I finally understand the whole chicken and waffle thing. We left full and a little sick feeling from eating too much. That shouldn’t have been a surprise, and wasn’t. Cheese, bacon, fried chicken, syrup? Who wouldn’t overdo it? As we got up to leave the line was out the door, with a dozen or so people outside. This was at 10 am on a Friday. We also ran into my sister-in-law and nieces, and got a shot of their very nice looking pancakes. All of their plates looked fantastic. This is a place worth trying. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the owner hustles to help deliver food, all the while scanning to make sure all is well, and the service is fast. Oh, and the food is really good. I will be back for sure.
