Noooooo! This place was the best. My husband and I loved coming here and talking to the owner about his philosophy on food. Coffee, Tea, and Tulips also had the best scones I have had anywhere. I am truly sad!

Completely overcome with sadness that Lina and Mike decided to close. We do wish them well but wow this place was delicious… Scones like no other place I have ever tasted. Never will!

I’m so glad we discovered this place. The hubby and I are always searching for a good place to have breakfast, and were so tired of the same old ordinary places in MV. How did I not know about this little gem? They’re ness led in a strip mall a few units away from SteinMart . This isn’t your typical over the top girly tea house; although I challenge you to find a Better selection of teas(and coffee) anywhere. Paris in a Cup is to die for!!! Their portions are quite generous and flowing with an array of fresh flavored and ingredients. The chef/owner creates the most amazing egg dishes full of mouth watering feta and basil. He’s a huge fan of bacon, and he’s not afraid to use it. my only complaint is that I can’t just crawl out of bed and just go in my pajamas

I came here the other day with my friend and I would say it was a really good experience and had a great atmosphere for chatting and relaxing. We stayed for 3 hours catching up and drinking tea! We got the Midnight in Paris and Peach tea. Both were amazing! I especially liked the Midnight in Paris because there was a hint of coconut and vanilla! We also got scones, a croissant, and a crêpe. They were all very yummy! Although, I thought the scones were quite small for its price. Tasty, but not very satisfying. The croissant was warm and buttery and so so good with jam and butter. The crêpe was quite large and had a warm apple filling! I did not try it but my friend really liked it. I will come back for more tea! Also to try their sandwiches(which looked really yummy!)

I don’t usually write reviews but I just had to for this place. I fell in love with this small restaurant. A lot has to do with the mixture of ambiance, food, and service. I went with a friend this past Sunday, and it was very near closing time. They took our order and rushed us a bit while looking at the menu(which is understandable) but then gave us great recommendations. Once our food came out, there were other people that trickled in to pick up some scones and other pastries. They seemed like regulars! I had the tomato basil soup which was delicious! We had one of the crepes with the goddess sauce… Yum yum! My friend had the Croissant with fig jam. It was all great! I also ordered their popular tea, Midnight in Paris, and it didn’t disappoint. It was full of great scents and tasted a bit fruity(this tea is definitely for those that like sweet smells). My friend had the black tea with lavender an it was just as good in its own way. I can’t wait to go back! I definitely recommend it.(but wish I didn’t so it doesn’t get too crowded, haha) Enjoy!

My girl and I love this place. The food is amazing, the tea is great. Not much more I could ask from a tea house.

Loved this hidden gem! such a treat to dine at a restaurant and meet the owners who have a true passion for their menu and their customers. The scones were«out of this world». The midnight in Paris tea was delightful and I’m not typically a tea lover. Try it for a change of pace. It’s quite small, reservations are recommended.

Cute place, delicious food, friendly smiles, reasonable price. That’s usually all I’m looking for dining out. I had a salad with chopped romaine, chicken breast, gorgonzola cheese, apples, cranberries, candied walnuts, and purple onions. The salad was refreshing and delicious, tossed with just enough dressing(they do not do dressing on the side), perfect portion for lunch. The place has old mismatched furniture, a very homely feel. The only downside was that when I asked for no onions in my salad, the waitress replied that the chef believes his food is art and therefore no substitutions are allowed. While I can appreciate the ideal, taking out an ingredient is not really substitution, even Joël Robuchon’s restaurant will take out onions on request. I ended up picking the diced onions out of my salad, which was much harder than I thought. I think small accommodations such as this will be well received by their customers.

Service– Awesome Food– Awesome(homemade jam, cotted cream) Coffee– Café Borjia had a strong Orange zest flavor and Earl Grey Latte was very strong as well. Both were great! Want to come back to try their Tea service. Tiny place so best make reservations.

Have been to a few tea rooms in the OC and find this place quite enjoyable. 1) seating area for dogs and side of bacons for them 2) yummy selection of scones 3) love love their clotted cream(not the British buttery thick kind) 4) closest place to Alice’s Teacup in New York in terms of quality of tea and food The owners, husband and wife, will peek their heads out and make a visit to talk to outside guests, as well. The service is fabulous. Please stop and smell the roses and have a cup of tea one of these days here. You might catch me with Herbert the husky.

This place was great! It was my first time here and I had a splendid experience! The server Julie did a great job in explaining the menu for us and gave us some great suggestions. I orders the shawarma croissant and my lady ordered the spanakopita crêpe. We also has some really delicious coffee! I would like to give the chef many thumbs up to the awesome food! He even brought the food out to our table! Service was great, food was great and overall great experience and for a great price ! I will definitely be back! Thank you for the great experience!

This was an interesting experience. I was taken here and, up until this point, had no idea it even existed. The tea is great. I’ll say that much. The restaurant however is sooooo far from where I live. The cover of the menu has a photo of The Last Supper on it. Well, maybe it was just Jesus… I can’t remember now. I had a croissant sandwich and I’m 90% sure the croissant itself is store bought. Not a big deal. I did not hate this place but I did not love it. If it was closer I’d maybe bring a date here for brunch. 3 stars because, according to Unilocal,it was just«A-OK.» I enjoyed my company the most.

Wow! What an amazing experience. Service: The chef Micheal and his wife Lina delivered impeccable service. We were 1st greeted by a hostess, she gave us a thorough explanation of the diversified menu. Food: The chicken, spinach and cheese omelette was amazing! My husband had the fire roasted vegetable and omelette, which he loved. He thinks he should have added feta or an olive tapenade for his liking.

I love unique tea flavors. So when my mama & I wanted to meet halfway between LA and San Diego for a little lunch date, we chose this stop(she’s an avid tea drinker too). We loved this place! It was cozy and quaint and the waitresses and chef were very friendly. They kept asking us if we were«absolutely happy» instead of the typical«How is everything? Don’t get the Paris in a Cup tea. Get the Midnight in Paris tea and sweeten it and add milk and you pretty much have the Paris in a Cup tea but with your own teapot full of tea to refill it with. But honestly, that was some of the best tea I’ve ever had! I got the tea and sandwich combo. I tried the shawarma on croissant and it was very strange and a bit dry, but maybe it was just not to my tastes, and that was my own poor decision. My mother got a chicken sandwich which came with a red pepper paste that she really enjoyed. She paired it with a café au lait. The chef in the little orange glasses is really funny/quirky. He comes out to check on how people are liking his food. I like him. My only complaint is the bathroom. Having to walk through the kitchen and the storage to get to the bathroom kind of sucks, especially because I pee a lot.

Wow, this place is awesome, I can’t wait to try the food! Owners are so friendly & eager to make you happy/comfortable, it’s really sweet! I’m told the food here is great but so far I have only tasted the Strawberry & Rhubarb Scones… holy cow were those incredible though! I’ve been a fan of their Midnight in Paris tea since my best friend bought me some a while back but I hadn’t had the ability to observe the actual establishment until recently… totally not disappointed! Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a classy, interesting little tea hang out with great food!

I love the Paris tea and their scone with cream and jam! The cream is seriously the sweetest and lightest cream I have ever tasted! Their tea here is definitely high quality and is worth trying if you love tea! As for the atmosphere, I thought it was going to look much cuter and quaint but try fall short of that. It could be a lovely place to have a tea party but they should create a better ambiance. Customer service was amazing! They were so kind and attentive and would definitely love to come back!

From outside, the place looks like one of the stores in a strip mall but inside the décor is very quaint and yet vibrant with bold burgundy colored wall. The place gives a sense of relaxation and definitely not a place to rush through a meal. One of my sisters will be getting married in a couple of weeks and we threw her a small bridal shower to enjoy a tea party. We wanted to experience the full tea party so we pre-ordered Queen Victoria Tea with 7 course tasting menu. My choice of tea as first course was the Midnight in Paris, dark tea with hint of coconut very relaxing and fragrance at the same time. The scone(second course) was fresh, nicely crusted outside and yet moist and fluff inside. With either jams(strawberry or apricot) or cream, they added another layer of tastiness to the scone. I enjoyed the scone a lot and I’m not really a scone person. The third course was the tomato basil soup, while it’s a bit peppery for my tasty, it’s very smooth and the croûton definitely helped balance the pepper. Next come the Chef’s Choice sandwiches was nicely arrange with three different types of sandwiches, walnut(triangle), raspberry chutney(2-tone) and chicken curry(brown). I enjoyed the raspberry chutney one as it has the most distinctive taste of them all. Our favorite was the blackberry with lavender sugar on lemon type sauce. The blackberry’s natural sweetness with a hint of lavender and the lemon sauce somehow worked miracle in cleansing the pellet for the next course. The sixth course was the Chef’s choice salad with diced apple and a strip of bacon with vinaigrette, light and refreshing. The last course was a pastry which wasn’t too sweet and just perfect. A great tasting menu couldn’t have completed better with a friendly and warm staff. I enjoy the fact that the sous chef came out and took time to explain the types of sandwiches which made it very personal and more enjoyable. Thank you everyone for a lovely tea party!

So my girlfriend wanted to have a genuine tea experience. Like a tea pot, tea cups and finger sandwiches. So after searching for some places we found that this place was a good spot to dip our toes in. Since our tea game was amateur at best, we decided to start off with popular recommendations. We got the Midnight in Paris Tea which is pretty much amazing. We also had a chocolate crêpe and a scone. We ordered a platter of sandwiches and were instructed NOT to share any of the food. What kind of crap is that? You can’t share food? That’s pretty ridiculous in my opinion since we are paying for the food so what is the difference in who eats it. The food was great tho so I’ll have to give them 3 stars for that alone. The service was rushed, strict, and unfortunately sub par. It’s one of those places that make you suck it up because the product is so good! Anyways, I think my girlfriend and I will be back but will definitely be ready for the rudeness that comes complimentary with every food order.

I had a wonderful, relaxing afternoon at CTT!!! I am so glad that I finally came because it was bookmarked on my Unilocal for a long time… RELAX… HAPPYTUMMY… GOODTIMES… Whether you come here for the hand-crafted, delicious pastries, freshly prepared on-the-spot dishes, lovely condiments like the clotted cream & imported jam, the cute, floral décor of the tea room, or the very friendly and personable service, CTT is the right place to be!!! (By the way, I appreciate any man who dines in here with their female partner… I mean it’s almost like you walked into a girl’s doll house… it’s almost too girly for me… ;) *NOTE! LIMITEDHOURS of operation: 9 – 2:30pm Wed-Sat, and 9−2pm Sunday. **Location is not best: It’s in between the CVS and Steinmart in the plaza… Family-owned restaurant… where the husband cooks AND cleans! It can be slightly awkward to walk through the kitchen for the restroom, but there’s nothing to be shy about in the kitchen. Everything is freshly prepared! The staff works so hard: the chef & servers work their butt off, walking back & forth, back & forth, from the kitchen to waiting tables! Wait time for the food is at least 10 – 20 mins. Don’t expect it right away. Have grace and undersanding that all of their dishes are made on the spot. Enjoy the atmosphere, relax, and indulge in a scone w/yummy cream & jam and/or sip on a warm cup of tea while you wait. :) I ordered the SAVORYCREPE: It’s a flat, open-faced crêpe topped w/an enormous salad: spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, onion, pine nuts, feta cheese, pesto, balsamic vinegar. LOVELY!!! Lots of flavor. Crêpe is made to perfection! It’s light & thin w/hints of light brown. not overcooked. This beautiful presentation and savory crêpe is absolutely a must-try!!! (Just a note! it’s not a stomach-filling crêpe… since the crêpe is very light… and not carb heavy.)
Unfortunately, today, they were already out of scones. I came in about 1:30pm, and although they didn’t kick me out when it came to closing time. I was soo bummed that I couldn’t try their scones!!! :( I’ll have to be back for their homemade scones for sure!
