Del Taco

my coworker and I go here maybe once a week for our lunch break. I love it! their fries are always on point. for real. today we went inside for the first time, the cashier guy had amazing eyes. so A+ to you Del taco. keep it up

I have friends and family who swear I live at Del Taco. I do spend a lot of time here. I don’t go to the one at the harbor really anymore but when I am on the way to or from my boats I usually stop at this one. Here again today. Building is old and could definitely use a redo but everyone is always happy and polite. Order is always ready fast and right. One time it took a little longer and they demanded that I let them refund me. I didn’t think it was that late so I split it with them instead.
Overall, for good, fast, friendly service, this is a good Del Taco. Lots of regulars here too which also speaks volumes.

I’ve been going to this location for years at 5am on my way to work. This is the second time (on a Tuesday) that there was nobody working! I waited at the drive thru ordering machine and the pulled to the window but nobody came! The lights were on in the restaurant and they looked open, but nobody was there. I waited a good 5 minutes figuring the worker may have been in the bathroom, but nobody ever came.

Literally the worst Del Taco. I’m so sad, because after a long night, I totally crave Del. However, all our food is cold… The French Fries taste old and the burrito (which we asked for extra sauce) has no sauce … Literally at all. The good thing is that you get tons of sauce. I think to mask the old flavor of all the food.
Super disappointed in this meal.

Really $ 6.00 for this? How disappointing! 5.5 chips and the chicken tastes like pork! Don’t do it, it is a waste of time and money. It’s not worth ½ of work if you’re making $ 12 an hour.

This was absolutely the worst drive thru experience I’ve ever had. I was tired and anxious to get home, but needed a quick bite.
I arrived and gave my order at 12:50am– I did not receive my food until 1:26 am.
There were two cars in front of me, and they too sat and wait (15 mins each). This is unacceptable. There is no telling what the hell the staff was doing for their customers to wait this long. When I approached the window, the guy gave me the wrong order.
The window person and the 1 person I could see in the kitchen had no concern for time. No acknowledgement that I sat in the line for over 30 mins.
Ridiculous. I will not be going back here.

I drive through two times. In the day time. Its the same lady pick my food for me. She is super nice and give you a big smile with awesome attitude. Feels like she enjoys her job even just in a drive through fast shop! It really impresses me!
I forget to ask her name. But I think the owner should put her to a manager or something.
She makes this Del taco my favorite!

I love del taco! It’s one of my guilty pleasures! Something about it just makes it so good. They seem like they need more staff at this location! I stood there for like 3 minutes before someone said hi to me. I only saw 2 employees. One was taking orders and one was making the orders. That isn’t really that big of a deal but if the store got busy it could be a problem. It’s right off the 5 freeway so I’m sure they get busy. The thing that bothered me was that my chicken soft taco was totally skimpy! I felt like they hardly put any meat in it. Ok, they are 1 dollar but still, at least put a decent amount of meat in there! In high school we used to order them with no lettuce because then they put more meat in them… now I am totally reminded why we did that! My fiancé needs like 15 tacos to fill him up… no joke. Oh well. I do like how they have the self serve ketchup and hot sauce… that way you can get as much hot sauce as you want! Perfect. Overall this is a good clean resturant they just need to fix a few things… more staff and more chicken on the tacos!

Came here when I was craving tacos because it’s right down the street from my house. Immediately when my boyfriend and I walked in, we were not greeted, and while we were figuring out what we wanted, the girl at the register looked like she didn’t want to be there. While we were eating, we observed several people who came in and who we’re effectively ignored for several minutes. They are definitely understaffed. There was one girl working the drive-​thru, Christina, who was seemed really nice.
I got the original beer battered fish tacos, and I really liked them. They were 2/​$ 4 and they were pretty good for the price. The fish was crispy, but the only other thing on the taco was cabbage and pico de gallo. Nothing complex. My boyfriend got two classic chicken burritos, and while neither were bad, one of them had practically no chicken and one had a lot. The consistency there wasn’t very good. We also ended up getting fries as an afterthought, which were fine. I was upset though, because I could literally see their ice cream machine with cones next to it but there was no trace of ice cream on the menu.
Overall, cheap food with decent quality. Just need friendlier staff.

I’m giving this 4 stars based on the fact that the tiny ramekins they give you of secret sauce simply is not enough. I love del taco’s secret sauce, whatever the secret may be. I only wish that instead of asking for a dozen sides of secret sauce to compliment my burritos and tacos that they would give me a pint or even a quart. I can’t get enough!

The only reason why I go here is because it is close to my house. The food is pretty much the same as any other del taco. I mainly just come here for the 3/​$ 1 taco night on Tuesdays, I’d say 90% of the time they no issues but there is still that 10% chance that something goes wrong. Usually the issue is that they get the order wrong and j don’t find out until I get home. The other times, the charges me the wrong amount. I was going to give it one star but I reserve that for the very worst

It was okay, but the service was a little rude, and the food was thrown out the window, and the side portions that I asked for were tiny for the huge salad I got.

OMG there is this older 50’s white lady maybe the manager but she is so skimpy on anything u order. We bought like 20 taco items a week ago and told her we need a lot if taco sauce. She had to bring it out and had like 4. Had to go in to get more. Then today we ordered 4 chicken soft tacos and they all had like 2 small pieces of chicken. .Joke see pic. If u see her run… we eat there a few times a week so otherwise tasty as ever!!!

Gave the new turkey tacos a try tonight… they weren’t bad. Portion size has increased since last time I ate here. I’m impressed!

Ok food if they remember to put it in the bag. They constantly forget to put everything in the bag. But they sure don’t forget to charge you for the items. Check you’re bags. Make sure its all in there!

I stopped here to meet up with a friend and chat. The counter person was also working in the fast food window. What a nice young man! He was very polite and very efficient. In fact, because of his politeness and niceness, I’m adding 2 stars!!! This young man can work at ANY sit down and MAKE MONEY as a server. The GREAT service made the fast food experience so much better. As for the .89 taco, well, it’s just a regular taco.

looooooooooooooooove del taco!

I went here this morning at a little after 5 AM. Everyone in my house was asleep, including my brother-​in-​law on the couch, and I was wide awake, starving, and in dire need of lifeblood I mean coffee. I decided to go to the local DT as they were already open, and a chicken soft taco sounded good with my coffee.
I don’t expect anything decent from fast-​food coffee, just enough caffeine to turn me humanish again until I can make the real stuff at home. Nevertheless, when I got the creamers for the coffee I sniffed them out and made sure they weren’t rancid before driving away. I ate the taco and drank some of the coffee on the way home. The taco was good, the coffee was weak but not bad.
So I get home, and begin working on escrow paperwork for a house we are purchasing. I get about 85% done with the coffee when something clogs the mouth-​hole in the coffee lid, and extends a thick, goopy, slimy glob into my mouth. I immediately spit it out and it slides back into the remaining coffee in the cup. I go into the kitchen, grab a fork, and fish out a giant glob of clearly infected snot from the bottom of the cup. I had been drinking this slowly for almost an hour! I have never been so horrified in my entire life.
I will be filing a complaint with the store manager as well as corporate today. It is no wonder my wife and I have gotten sick from this place before. That snot was obviously from someone infected with a cold or something, and if I get sick from this, I’ll expect them to pay.
Again I stress that I love Del Taco — right up there with In N Out at the top of the fast food chains, but this one is just flat-​out disgusting. I’ll continue to go to other Del Tacos, but never again to this one. I suggest you all do the same.

I love Del but this one just isn’t up to par.
