The good: No lines! Three dudes sitting behind a desk, and me the ONLY customer… and on one of THE busiest shopping days of the year.
The Bad: Woefully unaware salesmen. I have been a longtime Verizon user, and as part of the contract I use, and eligible for a phone upgrade every two years. I searched my account to verify that I was due, and what the free options currently offered were.
When I got to the store, and AFTER having them confirm my status and stuff, they tried to convince me that the cheapest option I could leave with (without upgrading to a smart phone requiring additional service-​package for internet use) would end up costing me.
This has never been the case before, and even when I asked for the most basic phone sold, they tried to convince me it would be a no go. In the end, I asked them to look up the Verizon website, and a specific phone I had spotted there, and low and behold… it was available (and would not cost me squat, after the included rebate).
In the end, this is a good alternative to the Ridgedale location (where I have always gone before) if you want to avoid waits, but be SURE you know what you want if you don’t want to be sold something above your standard price point.
It’s also right next door to Solo’s pizza… which is freaking hard to resist if you’re the slightest bit hungry. That could be good or bad. Hehe
