Milford Eats is out of business. After only a few months. All equipment sold at auction. Too bad, bagels were very good. You might consider Milford Station Bakery. Their bagels are good, but the muffins are great. Located next to the bridge, in the rear of the train station.

Let’s see, where to start… First of all, I’m usually weary of authentic bagel joints(I won’t get into why, but maybe you can guess). I decided to give the place a couple chances anyway, and like Sandy’s disaster up the street, big mistake. Let it be known that rarely do you see an employee stay employed here for more than a week. I ended up seeing one employee who lasted a few months working at another establishment and she explained to me why this is the case. She told me the owner is not only rude to his employees, but downright cruel. She said she would often leave work in tears, that’s how bad it is. I can quite easily imagine this based on my limited interaction with the man. He is highly unpleasant, to say the least. Prices are constantly changing for whatever reason(Possibly an intentional scam?), food is average at best, and you’re usually in for one hell of a long wait. The one good flavor of cream cheese they did have, they got rid of. To top it all off, a friend of mine placed an order one day and kindly requested that it be done American style. THEYDIDN’T EVENKNOWWHATAMERICANSTYLEWAS!!! All in all, it’s not nearly as bad as ‘Burger with a side of cell phone circuit board’ Sandy’s up the road(please, for the love of god, do not go there), but it’s pretty terrible in its own right.

I was excited when this place opened as another local option to grab something on the go, however, after many visits, I still leave disappointed. I often order the same thing and it is pretty consistent, however, the price and the service aren’t. I’ve been charged different prices for the same thing on several occasions. The staff is constantly overturning as no one seems to stay at this place and after enough visits you come to realize it is because the owner is micromanaging everything and causes more slow downs than anything. I personally find his demeanor insulting and annoying and dread when I realize I have to interact with him on some level. The one girl that has stayed for a couple months and knows more of what is going on is not the most friendly. I ordered a cookie from the front case and took a bite while waiting for my sandwich– it was awful. She asked me what was wrong and I told her the cookie was terrible and she said, ‘Oh, I’ve never had them before.’ Um… how about, «I’m sorry. would you like a refund or something else instead?» It’d be a great spot with a different owner/manager that can keep a steady staff that really know the ropes to deliver consistent food, service and pricing.

I was excited when this place first opened but not much anymore. The original excellent mac ‘n cheese has degraded to greasy oily overpriced yuck while the portion size has shrunk to half what it was originally. The last time I had it, it was reheated beyond edible and they charged seven dollars for what ended up being a half-filled container. Guess what? I don’t go back after that happens to me. So disappointed with how rapidly this place declined and I don’t expect it to last to Christmas. Sad.

I have been coming here semi often since they have opened. They have great bagels, and offer some stuff you can’t find in this area. I have made my visits far and few between lately as the service is absolutely dreadful. The three girls that work the counter are incredibly unfriendly and can’t even smile. I truly feel like I am doing the place a favor giving them my business. On top of the lacking customer service, it takes an incredible amount of time for one breakfast sandwich to be made. They have so much potential but I don’t understand why they have yet to get the kinks out. Boooo. I love your bagels though!

The muffins looked yummy but were so stale and at 2.50 each. What a waste of money. This was my second try here. Same story.

They have a great selection of bagels, unique cream cheese flavors(oreo, apple pie, etc.), and some yummy muffins(KitKat, The Elvis, etc)… The bagels are made fresh and are actually really REALLY good. I think the 1950’s décor is cool and fits well. With that being said the prices are high for the food they are offering. NYC prices in West Jersey just doesn’t make sense. I’m would love to give them 4 stars but until their prices are properly aligned for the food they are offering… I can’t.

Interesting local business if you want to support them, but many drawbacks. Service is very sloooooooow. It feels as if employes do not know what they are doing and seem disorganized. The people are nice, but it makes you agitated because you feel like they have not even started cooking your meal yet. Another drawback is a lack of a menu. If you are coming here for the first time do not expect to know what you can even get.

Why are only the good reviews posted but the reviews with complaints are deemed«not recommended»? I have to agree with most of the disappointed reviewers… Service is very shaky, the bagels aren’t good enough to warrant the high prices… I prefer the bagels at Deli on a Bagel in Pennington, NJ by far.

UPDATED28JANUARY2014 At last! A decent Bagel in the Upper Bucks /Western Hunterdon area! Made in the store! No more sad old bagels — hot from the oven and as good as any New York bagel. They have much more than bagels — hot and cold sandwiches of all kinds, a zillion cream cheeses, deli items and so on. Good coffee too! They have nice seating and it’s all bright and clean. Plenty of parking next to the building and across the street. It’s really so nice to have a place like this in the area — it’s been something I have wished for for years. NEW: My prior gripe about ordering traffic flow seems to have been mostly resolved, and unlike before, you can actually pour your own coffee now, so that’s a plus. Still holding back on the 5th star until I get in there on a crowded morning to see if the crowding at the doorway is gone. Last time I was there it was early, so no lined year. ADDED: I’m normally not a fan of «fancy» bagels, but do give the Asiago/Sun dried tomato bagels a try. Also the Jalepeno /Cheddar ones are good. Also, they seem to have different coffee every time I go, the Italian roast was nice. Finally — holy cow they have done a heck of a good job on sandwiches. Definitely more than a bagel shop here.
