We had a couple of waitresses. One was extremely kind and just lovely, the other was rude and really awful and unable to even explain the most basic menu item. The service was slow to the point of it being comical, but we were a big group so it didn’t affect us too much. The outdoor seating is very nice. The food: the bread/focaccia they bring out is delicious. I had the corn soup which was grainy and not very appetizing — it tasted like cheap salsa and creamed corn from the can. For my entrée I had the mussels with beans(and supposedly mashed potatoes which were not on the plate). The entrée was inedible because the mussels had not been cleaned and every bite was like chewing sand. I left the dish almost completely untouched and the waitress took it without asking if there was something wrong with the food. The peanut butter pie dessert was good, albeit a little too rich for my tastes, but I could see how pb enthusiasts would absolutely love it. This was my second time here. The first time I was a bit underwhelmed. This time it became clear that I would not be returning ever again. This place is BYOB.

Stopped in for Brunch last week— friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Nice selection of locally sourced ingredients. House made breakfast sausage was excellent as was the challah bread French toast. Prices are a little higher than your typical breakfast place but so was the quality of ingredients. Definitely recommend

Someone in town recommended some places to eat. When we said we were thinking of the Lovin’ Oven. He did not seem too happy with our choice and said it was pricey. When we arrived, the hostess sat us immediately. Before we could even sit, she asked what we wanted to drink. We were like, ummm, diet soda and ginger ale? She informed us they did not have that, but told us what«carbonated beverages» they did have. At no time being particularly friendly. When we sat and looked at the table there was a drink menu. Why not direct us to it and come back? One of the drinks was a ginger drink. Why not automatically offer that? There were very few items on the menu, so I was surprise that the waiter did not know the quiche and soup of the day. The waiter took our order. Also quite aloof. We ordered the bread basket with butter and jam. The breads were good but no jam. We were given no plates to eat with. Could not find our waiter. Finally found the busboy who paused as if contemplating asking why we needed plates. It took minutes before he returned. We started eating over the basket like animals. The rest of the food was 3 out of 5 stars. Just ok. The dessert was too salted. When we left we commented that it felt like they were doing us a favor serving us. Wish we had gone to the Italian Restaurant in town.

Excellent all around! We went for weekend brunch,… we were greeted promptly, had a short wait, but the atmosphere was very welcoming so it didn’t matter. The food is fresh, flavorful, and creative. The menu is eclectic, yet not in a way to be intimidating or sacrificing to those of us who like a good meal that we can recognize. The service was attentive and everyone seemed to work as a team., well done people! We can’t wait to go back.

My roommate and I visited one Sunday brunch and we loved it. The rosemary potatoes were to die for. We had some and ordered a separate order to go. That didn’t mean the rest of the meal wasn’t amazing. We cleaned our plates, which almost never happens.

I used to come here way back when they were in Milford and the food was always amazing. I was not disappointed when I went this time! I had the fresh juice which was good and the special salad with asparagus, blue cheese, beets, pears etc. The portion was perfect and the flavors were really yummy. My friend had the daily«scramble» with beets and stuff and she really liked it. I got the chocolate caramel sea salt tart to go and it was seriously delicious. Its really nice having such a tasty, healthy option in the area.

Thursday night~Italian night is the best deal anywhere! Three authentically Italian courses totally made from scratch and delectable! I hate to say it but their prosciutto and provolone stuffed meatballs are better than my own Mom’s who is second generation Italian! The homemade Canoli is undersweetened and amazing and the staff are the sweetest around!

My boyfriend & I have been going to Lovin’ Oven for almost 3 years now(it’s become a «special date» place, so it holds a special place in our hearts!). We live about 40 minutes away and check the weekend brunch menu every Friday night. We also have a campsite in Upper Black Eddy during the warmer seasons. The choices of menu items/ingredients are always so fresh and bright– whether you order one of the more simple items or a more in depth dish, you’ll always taste every ingredient and seasoning! We have been in here many times during a delivery-and by delivery, I mean a local farmer came in with a wooden crate of fruits and veggies!(I’m from NYC, so this was MAGICAL the first time I saw it happen haha) The employees are also very sweet and are always welcoming/attentive.

I’m not local to Frenchtown, but I’m always down for the 45 minute drive. Everything they make is filled with love and goodness. My personal favorite breakfast is the«Huevos Rancheros». I love it so much that I have a hard time ordering anything else, even though I know I’m missing out. Ive never had a bad meal here. Their cookies and sweet treats are so incredible too! I usually meet some girlfriends for breakfast and bring my husband a few cookies to go. Great spot! Super comfortable! You won’t be disappointed…

We went back after a 2-year break and were not disappointed. I was very upset that I couldn’t order everything on the menu — tasting from everyone else’s plates made me more upset, as everything was delicious. The staff were friendly and accommodating a group of 8 with no advance notice. Note to others: it’s BYOB, so plan ahead!

Absolute freshness and deliciousness for this upscale Farm to table stuffed avocado salad, 2 eggs your way with homemade sweet potato biscuits, and the indulgent salted chocolate tart… The latter has a combination of interesting texture with the chocolate crumbles, the creamy chocolate custard and caramel… The ginger cookies were also superb. The clean restrooms had a changing table. I was easy and free to park.

My friend’s been going to this place for a while now and she’s only told me great things. I finally got the chance to come the other day and I’m definitely a fan! The town itself is really quaint and adorable and the restaurant was the same. They have quite a few vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options which was super helpful for me. I decided to have the stuffed avocado salad that came with brown rice, black beans, corn and a bed of greens. They also added some watermelon and cantaloupe on the side. I thought the dressing was delicious and it was like having a smaller and lighter version of a Chipotle salad bowl. They were really generous with the avocado(I think there was a full one in there!) and all the components just tasted really fresh and healthy. My friend and I also split a kale, apple and lemon juice which was a nice accompaniment to the food. The ambience was great and the food was delicious too. I would definitely come back again!

I have been meaning to come here for years and finally made it yesterday. They were serving their brunch menu, which was just an okay selection for me. I asked if there was any other menus and I was told not for a few hours. I was sad to see that the 2 tables near me both had delicious looking burgers, that WERENOT on the brunch menu I was told they were serving. Unfortunately I already ordered by the time I noticed this. When we mentioned this to the girl at the counter when we paid, she got really nervous so we didn’t press the issue. I will say the sandwich I got was light and decent. My mom got the quiche which was miniature, but got a large portion of a side salad with it. We tried the chocolate tart that was featured on the food network, but it was too sweet for our liking. A positive was that our server was nice and the service was good. Next time I am in town I hope to come back and have a better experience. This left little to be desired.

really great find. wonderful vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free options… large yummy portions and great ambiance(with a nice outdoor seating option). I got the stuffed avocado salad that has a lot of flavor and texture. I devoured the entire dish although when first put in front of me it looked like so much food I thought I’d never finish it. good place to visit when in the area!

This is a very cute café perfect for locals in the small town of Frenchtown. They have a nice garden area outside with few seating area so if it’s available it’s definitely a nice alternative. Since this is a small local café, I would say the food, although not executed perfectly, is unbelievably fresh. The food here is reminiscent of the comfort food you would find in a grandmother’s kitchen(although not my grandmother since we are Taiwanese). Homemade Quiche — The crust was flaky as listed on the menu. Taste-wise it could have used a little more salt, but the spinach and tomatoes were a fresh addition. Comes with either a pretty sizable fruit salad or vegetable. Burger — This was one of their specials. It’s just your typical burger. They are unable to control the temperature of the burger. My dad asked for rare, but they said they could not do that so he asked for medium rare instead. It came out well done. As I said before, execution is not perfect, but at least ingredients are fresh. Fritters — Also another one of the specials and better than the burger in my opinion. The fritters are made out of potato and asparagus, although I could not taste the asparagus. It had a nice crispy crust, but was not oily at all. This plate comes with eggs, fruit, and a small salad. It also came with the sweetest, most delicious cherry tomato I have ever tasted. Chocolate Caramel Tart — This was featured on Food Network’s Best Thing I Ever Ate. Be warned, this is extremely sweet. Extremely chocolaty and caramel-y. I guess the salt is supposed to offset the sweetness but I thought it was too course and concentrated so I either tasted extreme saltiness or extreme sweetness instead of a balance of the two. Also at $ 6 a slice, it is pretty expensive. Coconut Macaroon — Large and airy as described. Compared to the overly sweet chocolate tart, this was perfect. Definitely a very respectable macaroon. I wish we had gotten two of these instead. I did feel the waitstaff was a bit cold, but at least they were all very polite.
