I’ve been eating here for years, I live 2 blocks away within walking distance and when mom doesn’t cook this is our go to for dinner. I always get a bistec empanizado with platanitos and I’m never disappointed. My dad usually picks up the food but yesterday I walked over and ordered something else. I had a pan con bistec with fries, and it was delicious. I ordered through Unilocal and asked for American cheese on my sandwich and they didn’t forget it! Also the papitas on the sandwich were the best I’ve ever had on a pan con bistec. If you want good authentic Cuban food go to Sergio’s!

Disappointing to say the least. Very limited menu of Cuban dishes, cold rice(Moros), 3 minuscule plantains(maduros) and very salty Pot Roast(Boilche). Never again

This is a yummy restaurant if your looking for delicious and authentic Cuban cuisine! The service is awesome too! The food is reasonably priced and the portions are large. The only restaurant in Miami where they count the rice and beans as only one side so go ahead order another… ENJOY!

I ordered from the flaca menu and they were out of cauliflower rice. I asked for a substitute and the waitress suggested a big salad which turned out to be a small salad. The chicken was dry and burned. Food quality was mediocre but service was good

I came in to get my favorite Cuban sandwich but wanted to start off with a appetizer my waitress Paula highly recommended an appetizer frituras de maiz and enpanadas de carne. She recommended that I use the chimichurri for the empanada and the cilantro sauce for the frituras de maiz. It was an excellent appetizer an a new favorite for myself. I had a couple different type of wine both which were her recommendations. All in all, my experience on this day was above and beyond what i was expecting due to great service, Paula toured me through the menu an helped me try some new things that I really look forward to having again. 5 stars plus! Thank you!

Horrible service. We never get the right order even when we call the actual store. Great food but very bad delivery.

Very subpar food. I’ve never had a meal here that surpassed what could be made at home, but it does become more enticing after a long day at work. Most often, I stop here for coffee. The service is hit or miss but I am not a stickler for that, I understand how busy restaurants can be.

Love how there’s a tiny drop of American culture in their traditional culture of Cuban food. Menu isn’t complicated and has great variety. La flaca menu is no doubt just as delicious as the rest of the menu. It’s nice to dig into Cuban food w/o the post-guilt of regretting it later on. Service is good here. I like to come on weekdays when it’s less packed than the weekends. Love love love this location!

Excellent local cuisine when you want something other than fastfood but not a fancy sobe restaurant. Outside patio is a little loud with the traffic right on 40th but it’s still not bad on an afternoon lunch break. The tri-blend burger is amazing! Be warned, just like most of the area, English is not widely spoken(although the menu is printed with English descriptions)

Ordered the roasted vegetables, they are vegetables but not roasted. It took 30 minutes to get them served and they were raw and cold. The menu has changed and it no longer offers traditional Cuban plates normally found in typical Cuban restaurants. Still here waiting for the food, while 3 other tables who got here after our party of 2 have been served. Things have changed in this Sergio’s, unfortunately in this experience for the worse. On a good note, their fries were very good.

I love this place. One of my go-to restaurants. They serve authentic cuban food. This place is so good, they are expanding to different areas. I’m lucky because I have 2 near my house! This location has been here for years! I’ve been coming here ever since I was a kid. I usually come here for breakfast, but I’ve been here for other times of the day. I love that their menu keeps expanding. Now they serve panther coffee! My favorite meal of the day is breakfast and so I visit here quite often for that. I usually have the deluxe breakfast. It has pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruits, toast and a café con leche all for about $ 8. Super affordable and super tasty. I recently tried their french toast with guava sauce. And wow! The guava sauce is soooooo good. They also make an awesome croqueta preparada. Their croquetas are super yummy too. I would give this place a 5 stars if the service was better. It’s either a hit or miss. Some servers may be nice, and others not so nice. If you’re in the mood for some great cuban food, this is your spot.

Visited the restaurant this morning, service was good from the minute we walked in. We ordered la flaca south beach omelette and it was delish! Only downside if any was parking was a bit of a hassle. Overall, great experience.

Have been coming to this Sergio’s for a long time. It’s small but they have good turn over when seating people. Staff could be a little nicer. They renovated it recently and it looks a lot better now. Good stuff!

Love this place! The Cuban food is authentic! Very inviting atmosphere. They have a healthy«La Flaca» menu so you can eat healthy and hearty. The prices are accessible. The Malanga soup is a must have! They have a lot of options for breakfast too. Very warm atmosphere.

I’ve been coming to this location since 1980. I was 4 years old when my dad brought me here. I remember when this place had a «W» shaped counter with stools and a clear view of the kitchen. I’ve probably have had Sergio’s food over a hundred times. In my opinion it’s the best Cuban food, it’s comfort food, and every bite reminds me coming here with my father. This time around I brought my girlfriend who has truly never had real Cuban food especially never in Miami. Neither of us were disappointed. We had the two mini Fritas appetizer. It was spectacular. Simply mouth watering. I had her try a Café Cubano, which she has never tried. Her eyes just opened up. I had a sip and it was pretty good. Then our waiter brought us a Pan Con Bisteć, one word… Delicious! It was as perfect as it could be. The steak was perfectly cooked. I couldn’t have asked for a better sandwich. As a desert I had her try the Flan. I’m not a big fan of sweets, but I have to admit it. I really liked it. Sergio’s has never disappointed me. Every time I go to Miami, my last meal before going home is always Sergio’s. So, for the time being, it will continue to be my last meal. Great memories and great food.

I have been to this Sergio location a few times and the service has always been acceptable and the food ok., also to others Sergio. ie Coral Way the food is good but the service is excellent and friendly. I went there with my wife today for lunch what a Disaster:4 pm There were maybe 8 customers and over 9 employees basically fooling around and only one waitress working. The orders took for ever to come out and came COLD, as I was finishing my meal I asked for dessert and coffee and please 2 napkins 3 times. As the waitress was just overworked I asked a Supervisor(tall kind of blonde lady) with a phone around her head for the napkins 3 times SHE finally came back with the attitude of Bully to tell she heard me at the top of her voice and what else did I wanted. Needless to say, I asked for the bill and cancelled the coffee and the dessert and left a 10% tip for the overwork waitress(I usually tip over 18%) I will never come back and suggest they have a mgr there because what they have now is a circus.

We came for brunch and received great service. We were seated immediately and the waitress greeted and took our drink order within 5 minutes. She quickly returned with our Mimosas and took our food order. They brought out our food about 10 minutes later. The food is not the best Cuban food around but still good. The price is very affordable.

Everything was very tasty! I split the palomilla and vaca frita with my boyfriend. Both had a lot of flavor but I definitely liked the palomilla better. It was delicious. I always love Cuban food. We also got rice and beans tostones and fries they were all very yummy! The sauce that comes with the tostones is great, it is a garlic sauce. The bread you get while you wait is also delicious and a very good way to hold you over before getting your meal although it is definitely not necessary because of the size of the plates that you get! So much food!
