This is a terrible place since the waiters were not honest enough. I can understand the seafood is expensive and people want to earn more money, but it doesn’t mean the waiters can ‘forget’ to remind the costumers about the price or the price can be removed from the menu, especially when the waiters give the recommendations. Anyway, I’d say this is a terrible restaurant and I will never go back, even though the food is not bad! Oh, and why they asked for two tips, that is nonsense! Just Do NOT go to the place!!!

Overpriced for the quality. I don’t recommend the paella. Drinks are huge! But waitress don’t even ask the size they just bring you the huge glass($ 35) each cocktail…

DONOTGOTOTHISPLACE. They try to trick you into buying drinks and charging you double of what they say. They tried to intimidate us by threatening to call the police. We called their bluff and called the police ourselves. The police showed up and told us that this place has a history of conning customers into paying a lot more than the original amount. We won and got them to reduce the prices back to what they originally promised. IFTHISPLACETRIESTOCONYOU, CALLTHEPOLICE. The police will help you make your claims against these disgusting people.

The worse experience /service ever! Please don’t waste your time and money here. Drinks are overpriced($ 55 + service charge) and the waiter was rude when the bill came out. He pretended that he couldnt understand you when you questioned why the bill was so high. Please beware of the women trying to lure you in. I wished I had known before going here…

So we decided that we wanted drinks and stopped here because of the offered 2 – 1 special. We ordered a vodka cranberry(Not 2 – 1) and a small daiquiri(2 – 1). The brought us out a drink that could serve 5 people and stated«this is our small». I was fine with it but once they slapped the check down the serve forgot to mention the price of the drinks. Upon checking out they did offer use the 2nd drink, in a to go cup that actually made walking down Ocean a bit more fun.

Ridiculously overpriced, and aggressive servers will leave you with a giant hole in your wallet from Medi Bar and Grill on Ocean Drive. Like many tourists from out of state we got sucked into the annoying servers that constantly hound you all along Ocean Drive to try their restaurant. Little did we know that ordering nacho chips and ONE drink would leave us with a $ 65 bill. Clearly, looking at the pictures posted by other Unilocalers we got away with a low bill. But there’s no reason — Miami or not — that you should get stuck with a bill this high for a «Mango daquiri» and nacho chips. The food is mediocre at best, and service is even worse. The second the waitress realized all we wanted was one drink and nachos(we were in between meals) she rolled her eyes and was annoyed. Sorry we wasted your time. I’m sorry I wasted my money.

Stopped here for a snack and drink. The food was pretty much microwaved or just reheated. The service was ok, although they definitely did not care that much and did not seem very caring. But if you just want to sit down for a drink, this place would be ok.

I gave it an ok review because I feel like they were kind of shady with their drink«specials». The only ones that were half price were the huge 32 oz and above. None of the normal alcohol drinks were half price and the guy tried to give me some crazy price for them. The food was great, but I don’t like shady practices. Chicken and asparagus risotto is amazing!!!

OMG! I can’t believe I’ve been tricked again!!! As an elite Unilocaler too! I wanted to try this Cuban restaurant that my friend recommended and that place had lots of positive reviews, but my friend felt that we were overdressed for that place. So… we decided to go back to Ocean Blvd. since we liked the vibe. We ended up eating at this place because they were offering 2 free Patron shots for each of us and 25% off our bill. After we sat down, we noticed the restaurant was kind of empty. I like how their drinks come in giant glasses though. I asked the table of 4 next to us if they were good and they said none of their drinks were good and one was too icy. They looked very unhappy. For the prices, you would expect the drinks to be somewhat good… The waitress that lured us in brought out our first round of shots. We all knew that it was not Patron! Liar! She brought out stale complimentary bread with Land o Lakes butter! hahahha. The food we ordered was horrible and expensive. We were so disappointed with everything, but we were so hungry we ate all of our food. Our bill was $ 100 and we only had 2 entrees and a giant mojito! They didn’t give us our next round of shots or give us our discount. The waitress also took forever to check up on us… What did I learn? Unilocal every restaurant before we try it, especially the ones in Miami. If you need to lure your customers into your restaurant… it must not be good. I can’t believe we ate at the worst restaurant lol! Never again!!!

The fact that this place has an overall rating of 1.5 stars upsets me. I realize the min. star level is 1 but how the hell does anyone rate this higher than that? Sketchy place with bad business practices. No prices on the drink menu(which are actually $ 55 each), bland food. Deafening music. The list goes on and on. If I lived in Miami I’d be picketing outside this place on weekends until it was closed.

If you have a young, scantily clad woman trying to lure customers into your restaurant, then there must be something wrong with your restaurant. For any wannabe foodie, this is common sense. But I was tired and hungry that I completely ignored the little voice(s) in my head. I stopped at here for dinner so I could eat, chat with my coworker, and stare at the beautiful beach. Medi was able to provide all of that. Unfortunately, none of the food was any good. And when it comes to restaurants, the taste of the food is sort of big deal. This place is a shiny gun without bullets. I had my(super overpriced) dinner right on Ocean Drive, under an umbrella protected table. I was able to chat with my coworker, people watch, stare at the beach, and wonder why I didn’t live in Miami in my early 20s. What a beautiful city, full of beautiful people with beautiful bodies. It would have been a constant reminder that I need to lose weight. Remember, foodie is French for fatty. On second thought, I am kind of okay with never living in Miami. I don’t have the motivation or drive to work out. And of course, lay off the sauce. Anyway, our server had this shady European vibe to him. He was aggressive and was really pushing overpriced appetizers, fruity drinks, and pricier dishes on us. I know it’s part of the job, but he was just super greasy about it. He was a snake in a waiter’s clothing. When I asked for water, he brought up bottled water and opened it. I repeated that I wanted tap water. He said since he opened it, the water had already been billed and that I should have communicated what I wanted to drink better. Yes, the guy with the thick Italian accent wants to teach me how to speak English. I wanted to communicate that he should be a better server by not tipping him, but Miami forces a 19 percent gratuity down your throat. I felt so violated. Unfortunately, I left my rape whistle in my hotel room that day. As for the food, it was horrible and overpriced. I ordered the salmon and it was maybe half of the size of playing card. It was as dry as C-SPAN. This place truly is garbage. Basura!

I really wanted some seafood so we thought we’d find the best seafood on Ocean Blvd, right? WRONG!!! This place has horribleee service. Our server acted like he couldn’t understand English whenever we asked him for prices or any of the menu items. I had to pull him to the side and straighten him out. After that, we were all good. His attitude was still foul but we got what we needed. I guess the servers are all butt-holes because the gratuity is already added onto your bill… BUT the receipt also says that you can remove the gratuity if you wish. So we did! THEFOOD: I ordered the grilled shrimp and it was sooooo bland. It felt like I was chewing rubber! The dish came with asparagus and mashed potatoes that were hard and cold. My friends ordered pizza and it was pretty good. Our server lied and told us that one pizza would only feed one person. However, when the food was delivered we definitely could have fed 2 people with one pizza! THEDRINKS: I ordered the grand margarita not knowing that it was so humongous! Later I found out that it was $ 55. The drink was not worth 55 $!! It was too fruity and barely had any alcohol. Why is the drink 55 $?? Its not like you get to take the glass with you! We were charged $ 4 for water we didn’t ask for. Overall, this place sucks and I would not recommend eating at this restaurant or any of the other restaurants on Ocean Blvd. They are all owned by the same people and you can tell because they all sell the same big, worthless drinks!

If you’re looking for good food in Miami Beach, you will definitely not find it on Ocean Drive. All of these places target tourists and are lucky that they have prime real estate because if they were located anywhere else and were forced to survive on the quality of their food, they would all shut down immediately. My friends and I had just come from a day on the beach, and one of them was seriously craving seafood paella and pina coladas. We were on spring break; let’s live it up. Ah to be young and carefree again… The manager lured us into coming in by offering us free pina coladas. Free drinks? Why not? The drinks hit the spot and weren’t half bad surprisingly. I expected them to super weak since they were on the house. When it came to the food, that’s where it takes a turn for the worse. The seafood paella was served in a huge wok, with a border of clams, and garnished with lemon and parsley. The yellow rice had pieces of calamari, shrimp, peas, and peppers. Although the portion was huge, it was completely bland, and all of the seafood was chewy and flavorless. These restaurants on Ocean Drive have subpar food for obscenely high prices. Never again.

Rip off alert — the alcohol is unpriced on the menu because they charge $ 20 for a Mimosa in a plastic cup. Waiter was apologetic and offered a two for one, which did nothing to reduce the sticker shock when I received the bill. Breakfast was decent, but service is slow. Plenty of better choices on Ocean Drive. Avoid.

Again, I can’t believe it took me so long to realize everything along Ocean Drive is a hustle. Cedric and I were wandering around looking for something for lunch. I pictured we would enjoy something light whilst a cool ocean breeze blew through our hair. What we got was a hot corner seat outside and a lot of calories… all for about $ 40(as usual, gratuity is already included). I have to give them credit for offering descent food as their special. I had the tilapia sandwich. Ideally I would have preferred something other than fries, but it all worked. Cedric had the the shrimp salad and everything was flavored well. Yup. It’s my first time in Miami Beach. How could you tell? Oh, by the $ 4 Coca-Cola I’m drinking.

After 5 days in Key West we went up to Miami for 2 days and hung out in Miami Beach for the better part of it. Before going clubbing we decided to find a place to eat… there are like 4 restaurants per block and they all pretty much look at the same… so were were torn on which one to go to… they also all offer 20% off menu and 2 for 1 drinks… so that didn’t help make a decision… we ended up just picking the place closest to the car. First off, I skimmed past reviews below and this place has received a beating… mostly due to prices. I agree that this place is expensive for what it is… but I mean… come on… what do you expect? you are in Miami Beach and basically in the sand while eating here… you are paying for that as well… I’m sure the rent for this restaurant is NOT cheap. So if you are thinking of going to any place on Ocean Drive… please expect it to be pricey. We sat down and immediately took advantage of the 2 for 1 drink specials… the drinks I’d say around 36 – 40 ounces and we got them with rum runners… I have a picture of it I just dont really know how to link it to this post :(. The drinks were delicious and at $ 12.50 for 2(with the 2 for 1) they were a steal. We ordered the meat special which was $ 110 and came with a 22 ounce bone in ribeye, 8 ounce new york strip, 8 ounce skirt steak and a 16 ounce chicken breast. This also came with grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes. We shared this 3 ways and our 4th got Chicken Parmesan(sigh, dont ask why at Cuban/Spanish inspired place you get Chicken Parmesan). That being said… the Chicken Parm looked really good and was given he thumbs up. All our meat was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. In the end our bill came up to $ 175 which ends up being like 40 – 45 a person… that is what we expected to spend here with drinks, tax and tip so not bad price wise. **Note** If you use a credit card in Miami Beach, you will get charged tax and gratuity automatically no matter what the charge is it seems. We got charged gratuity even on our cover charge for the club that night because we paid with a credit card… so 25 $ cover per person ended up being like $ 32 or something per person.
