OK food, but awful service… and the space behind the counter was a complete mess. I don’t speak Spanish, and though the cashier seemed to speak English well, she totally screwed up my order. VERYSLOW, so don’t go here if you’re in a hurry. I was in line for 10 – 15 minutes and it wasn’t because the line was long. I sat down at my table after ordering wondering if I’d even get what I ordered… I doubt I’ll be back any time soon.

Decided to give them another try but again I was disappointed. I stood in line for 20 minutes to order breakfast and they managed to take only 2 orders in that time. There were still 3 people in front of me and I couldn’t keep waiting. Especially since it was clear that to actually GET the food would have taken at least another half hour. It might have taken another 20 minutes just to get my order in. Don’t have that kind of time. And every time I’ve eaten here, the food was ok at best. Definitely not worth waiting all that time.

Café Pap is just bad. Every time I go there, months apart from each other from the food to the service it’s just bad. Unfortunately I’ll never go there again. Having the same order get messed up more than twice in the same sitting, waiting 35 minutes for an egg and avocado wrap while the lady behind the counter is touching and running her hands through her hair then going back and touching the food… It’s just gross. There is no professionalism existing in this establishment. It’s in such a convenient location but the execution just isn’t there. Maybe one day they will get competent people in there that have the slightest idea about working in a café/restaurant. If 0 stars were applicable they would get that from me. I’m hoping my review will save people from having their day ruined. There’s plenty more options in that area and café pap should NEVER be one of those options.

Slowest Delivery ever. Took over 90 min for an omelette that was promised in 30 min. When I called restaurant said they couldn’t locate their own driver. Order finally arrived(fried eggs and an omelette) and it was disgusting. Not only cold, but stale French bread, eggs were not cooked fully and omelette was filled with unfresh vegetables. Stay away from this restaurant, both customer service and good are horrible.

I was in my way to Zona Fesca, it is a couple of steps away. But decided to try something new and a little healthier since I had just finished with the gym. I had ordered a Caprese French sandwich. It had mozzarella cheese, pesto, balsamic vinaigrette and sliced tomatoes on a French bread. I got the full sandwich, which it was $ 6(for half of sandwich it’s $ 4) the sandwich was whatever, but not bad… It was definitely fresh. I also got a spinach empanada, which was pretty good but different because it was made out of whole wheat bread(was $ 2.49). In total I paid $ 10, including a bottled drink. Then it got a little weird and unprofessional, because the cashiers ex boyfriend or guy that was interested in her, stopped by to talk to her. You could feel the tension and the uncomfortable-ness because she didn’t want to talk to him, but he did. Super weird and unprofessional on the guys part for showing up to her work place and harassing/bothering her. Will I come back here, no. Not because of the cashiers personal situation happening, but because I felt that it was a bit pricey for nothing when I have cheap and tastier places to go. You have Subway in the corner, where you can get half a sandwich, cookies or chips and drink for $ 6 and Zona Fresca’s meals are less than $ 7 but complimentary tortilla chips… You have better opinions. Had egg white omelette, it was really great! My wife had the veggie omelette, she also liked it! Service was fast and polite. We are from az and the server told us about a couple nice places on SB. Gave it 4 stars because I thought there was a funny smell when I walked in.(my wife disagreed with the smell) Overall we will definitely come back for breakfast tomorrow!

My review is solely and absolutely based on one thing, a café con«leche» that a young lady made me on the afternoon of July 20. She made the perfect café con leche with almond milk. She almost had me fooled it was so perfect. Maybe it was her, maybe the coffee or serendipity. Whatever the case it was perfect.

I live right next door and walk past this almost everyday. Today, we decided t try it. What a mistake. This place deserves ZERO stars. I ordered their special omelet and a water. Well, the server forgot my water altogether until I reminder her when she brought my omelet. I touched the omelet and it was cold. How can an omelet that is made«fresh» be cold? No apologies on the server’s part. I sent it back for another one. The second one came out hot but looked microwaved. I pulled it apart and the cheese was melted to an almost water consistency. I told the server that this was clearly a prepackaged and microwaved omelet. She denied and stated it was fresh. It was anything but made fresh. I requested my money back. At the register what I guess was the owner came to open the register. He never said a word to me and walked away. The server refunded my money. Not once an apology. In the end, this place sucks and no one should go there. Then again, I rarely see anyone in thee which should have been a red flag to me. Hopefully this place closes soon so a real food place can move in there.

I came here two mornings in a row with my family. The ladies who work here are nice and welcoming. I highly recommend #54, the specialty omelet sandwich. It has a little bit of spice and was the perfect start to my day. This is a great place for breakfast!

Bagel suckage! Weird smell when you walk in. Ladies serving us with a smile however when cook admitted the bagels were stale and should be tossed, they continued to serve them! I hear the evening person is a delight and very helpful. So I guess if you want to check this place out, go in the evening… and do not ask for bagels!

If I could eat Café Papillon every day I would. For lunch, the grilled chicken sandwich on wheat is my absolute favorite and for breakfast, the french toast w/fruit… delishhh. The location is perfect and they have super quick delivery. There was one time I couldn’t get through on the phone and another time I was delivered the wrong sandwich but come on, we’re all human here. It’s not about the mistakes we make, it’s about how we correct them. Café Papillon rushed my order and of course got the correct sandwich to me after many sincere apologies. The staff is friendly and it’s always a pleasure dining in.(when I have the time to) Oh, and the prices are VERY reasonable, especially for their location and the food quality is great. Two thumbs up from me!

This place has potential but service was slow. i understand that it’s a new place. But staff should really know their menu if we have questions. Lunch for two was about $ 45, pricy but to be expected for locAtion. Which included one cranberry chicken salad, one spicy chicken wrap and a bowl of fruit. All decent tasting but again nothing to write home about.

Ordered a ham and mozzarella«omelet». In actuality it is an under-microwaved egg crêpe with cold cubes of ham and cheese in the middle. Coffee came out in dirty mug too, had to ask for a to-go cup. Not coming back.

Went here for a «quick» bite and they took absolutley forever… For a cup of soup and scrambled eggs… lol. When the soup FINALLY came it was the wrong kind. Waitress was absolutley unapologetic about it, acted like it was our fault she brought us the wrong soup. We said it was fine because we were in a rush but she GRABBED it out of our hands to change it despite our refusal. And of course replacing the soup took another 15 minutes. Food sucks, service sucks, and its overpriced as hell.

we feel like we were robbed out of our breakfast. we ordered toasted baugette and eggs which were cold and hard. we waited for 10 mins for a simple menu and what we got was unappealing. I do not recommend this venue at all.

After the third time buying breakfast since they open, I decided to write it a review. I have tried the croissants and breakfast sandwiches and they taste excellent. Since it recently opened, I understand service might be a little slow and its ok if they mess up your oder(make sure you check what you are buying) but I think they should have more consistency. My husband went this morning to get me a café latte and it was cold and HORRIBLE. I am a big coffee fan and know when something is done the right way. It was dissapointing to open the lid and have seen such a thing

Great location, terrible service, cold coffee and very expensive for two breakfast sandwiches and one coffee $ 24??? The lack of management and properly trained personnel needs to be fix ASAP or it won’t last long…
