YUMYUMYUM ! I’ve been to Yardbird twice and both times were DELICIOUS !!! In the times I’ve been, I’ve tried: kale salad, mac & cheese, classic buttermilk biscuits, the swine burger, the chicken’watermelon’waffles, and the blue plate special. I love the chicken from here. The watermelon is also a special treat because it is spiced. The biscuits are something else! They come w/this housemade jam and honey butter. You spread it onto the hot biscuits and wow taste bud frenzy!

When someone says friend chicken what do you automatically thing of? For me I use to think McDonalds chicken nuggets or fried chicken from Publix… But after coming here I cannot help to think about Yardbirds chicken! So I have to confess I come here way more often than I should since it isn’t really the best thing for my figure butttt… Yardbird has the best friend chicken of all time! I have came here for brunch and dinner and I always get either the fried chicken with a side of mac and cheese or the chicken and waffles. The fried chicken is the most perfect fried chicken I have ever had. It is crunchy yet juicy and really flavorful, they pair it with this hot sauce that to my taste(i love spicy food) is not that spicy but none the less delicious. Now as a side I have always gone with the mac and cheese its really good I like the pasta that they use because its not like any pasta I have ever seen its a specific spiral shape(you’ll see what I am talking about once you order it). As for flavor it is not the best mac and cheese I have every had but its definitely good. The waffles I have no idea what they put in them to make them so delicious but they go great with the bourbon infused syrup and the chicken. When you order the chicken and waffles it also comes with a few pieces of watermelon(those are a little spicy). I have to say that my favorite drink is the scarlet o’hara i think thats what it is called. It isn’t on the menu but it has bourbon strawberries ginger beer and hot sauce. If you are a fan of spicy drinks I definitely recommend that one! With that being said. change your idea of fried chicken and try this place out!

So — I HATE giving bad reviews because I REALLY want to like Yardbird. I love the ambience/décor and the whole menu. However, EVERY time I’ve been here, the meal is just ok and something goes wrong. There was hair in my food the first visit for brunch; service was bad on my last visit for lunch; and tonight my grouper was undercooked — TWICE. The kitchen sent the SAME uncooked piece back with the bloodline in it. Yes the cocktails are good and the food is fine, but I think I’ve had my fill with Yardbird. The fried chicken is ok but I’ve honestly had better. I’m going to check the box on this restaurant. We had the bone marrow(ok but slightly undercooked in the middle as it wouldn’t come off the bone), kale salad, fried chicken and grouper(which we never tasted). The waiter and manager couldn’t have been nicer, however, with all of the apologies they didn’t even comp anything on the check(maybe a drink?) — which surprised me. The waitstaff was also super efficient in clearing the table of any trash/used dishes. We visit Miami a few times a year and there are just too many good restaurants to dine at to come back.

Short Rib plate was AMAZING! The meat wasn’t lathered with Sauce and it still tasted so flavorful and just seemed to melt in your mouth! It came with yummy mashed potatoes, green beans and corn. I also got a side of Mac and cheese, two thumbs up! The apple pie desert with ice cream was THEBOMB! This place itself had an awesome vibe.

Yum, the shrimp and grits was amazing! Customer service was great. I ordered the deviled eggs for an appetizer which were tasty as well. They are topped with caviar. But the shrimp and grits were really savory, my friends ordered the chicken and waffles and it was bomb!!! The watermelon was juicy and tasty and I don’t even like watermelon. All and all pretty solid place to go when in Miami

Ok what can I say about this place… It’s great! I would’ve given it 5 stars but the wait for a table was over an hour. My daughter & I came here for lunch and we waited forever. However, once we finally got our table we enjoyed every bit of our meal. Our server was amazing and the food was fantastic! I had the famous chicken and waffles with a side of watermelon which was delicious. My daughter had shrimp & Grits which was awesome. We both shared a side is bacon… OMG So damn good. I will definitely be returning to this place on my next trip to Miami!

My first visit to Yardbird was actually to the one in Las Vegas, right when it opened. I had no idea it was a Miami restaurant until I hopped on Unilocal and saw this place dominating Miami Beach. I liked the Vegas location enough that I decided to check out the original, using one of our two dinners in town for the visit. We went for a 6:00 Saturday dinner with three friends. When I checked OpenTable a week in advance, there were only early or very late slots available, so we dined with the sunlight. It was pretty nice, actually. Yardbird has a vibrant but comfortable, casual vibe, and our meal was pleasant and relaxing. Service was good, and we had a great, fun, family style dinner. There was a full bar, which I was especially looking forward to, because I specifically remembered the Vegas Yardbird for its excellent cocktails. Oddly, the ones here were not quite as good. My husband and I tried The Porkchop, the Southern Revival, and the Yardbird Old Fashioned, all of which we enjoyed in Vegas. I remembered loving The Porkchop, a mix of Old Forester 86, Yardbird dijon syrup, fresh thyme, citrus, and unfiltered apple cider, in part because the dijon and thyme were in an ice cube that melted perfectly into the drink. No fancy mustard ice cube here, and that may have accounted for the lack of balance. The Southern Revival, a sweet and sour drink of Wild Turkey 81, passion fruit, and basil, was tasty, but too far on the tart side. The Yardbird Old Fashioned was solid, at least, a porky spin on the classic, with bacon-infused Buffalo Trace bourbon, Angostura bitters, and maple syrup. The food, though, did not disappoint. Yardbird offers big, homey Southern food, and everything we got was delicious. We started with the fried green tomato BLT and a round of classic buttermilk biscuits, which could’ve worked as a side if we were able to resist eating the warm biscuits immediately. The fried green tomato BLT was a kind of fancy amalgamation of a couple classics, the fried green tomato piled with house smoked pork belly, smoky tomato jam, frisée, and pimento cheese, sprinkled with pickled lemon vinaigrette. The tomato was deeply flavorful and beautifully textured, the crispy batter yielding to soft, lovely cooked tomato. Everything about this dish just worked. The biscuits were on point, fresh, crumbly, and buttery, served with honey butter and house-made jam. We only ordered five things for the five of us(excluding dessert), but since three of them were whopping entrees, we had more than enough to eat – the locals got to take home some leftovers. Yardbird is known for its chicken, so we got it both fried and grilled, and both preparations were fantastic. The chicken n’ watermelon n’ waffles was a great platter of crispy fried chicken served with honey hot sauce, chilled spiced watermelon, Vermont sharp cheddar cheese waffle, and bourbon maple syrup. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and I loved the spread of sides, a real luxurious platter there. The smoked backyard BBQ chicken was also great, a slow smoked and grilled half chicken served with house BBQ sauce, charred okra, and house fries. Hard to compete with fried chicken, but this was excellent in its own right, the BBQ flavor immensely satisfying. The St. Louis style pork ribs were another winner, big, tender ribs slathered in the house BBQ sauce and plated with some green apple slaw for our health. We were pretty stuffed by dessert, but we decided to order one anyway and split it five ways. We got the bacon butterscotch cake and honestly, even if we weren’t full, this would’ve been plenty of dessert for five people. It was a huge slice of cake, with layers of bacon frosting, served with butterscotch sauce, toasted pecans bourbon ice cream, and candied bacon. It was sweet and salty and rich and fluffy, a unique, wonderful way to end our meal. I go to Vegas more often than Miami, so I have a feeling my next Yardbird meal will be at The Venetian. But for those of you in other parts of the country, make this place a priority when in Miami. It’s a great spot with fun atmosphere and top notch modern Southern fare. I see why it reigns over the food scene on Miami Beach.

I prefer the brunch menu to the supper menu here, but the food was still delicious. I would highly recommend the fried chicken over the smoked BBQ chicken. The fried chicken was extra juicy, whereas the smoked BBQ chicken was a bit dry. The waffles were on point that came with the fried chicken. We also got the brisket biscuits which were okay. I kind of wish we got the fried chicken biscuits. The staff are great here. Very informative and gracious. I don’t have a bad thing to say about them. I recommend making reservations sooner rather than later because they get booked up.

Great food! Lucky we got a last minute reservation on the same day for dinner for a large group. We sat all together but decided to split the table in half for ordering. They didn’t seem to mind that we had two checks. Fried chicken and waffles. Very good, juicy and crisp. The hot sauce honey and bourbon maple syrup make it really delicious. I wish I could have brought home the sauces with me. Same for the biscuits, the honey butter and apple jam were everything, yum! Fried green tomato BLT and deviled eggs, definitely recommend both of these. Grits and okra are good too. Cauliflower mash is just okay. Glad we got to try Yardbird! Thumbs up!

I had been soooo looking forward to coming here since seeing it featured on TV since they’re famous for their fried chicken and waffles with a side of watermelon! I bookmarked this onto Unilocal and told myself if I ever found myself in Miami, I HAD to go here! We ordered the mac and cheese, the cauliflower mashed potatoes, the fried green tomato BLT, and the chicken n’ watermelon n’ waffles. I personally loved the cauliflower mashed potatoes and the BLT was pretty good, but I was really underwhelmed with the chicken and waffles! I thought it was underseasoned and I was disappointed :(The watermelon was really refreshing and a nice twist to this dish, and the syrup was an interesting flavor as well. I give this place 3.5 stars because our waiter was really cordial with us and I liked the environment and overall the food was good, just was sad that the chicken didn’t live up to its expectations on TV.

What else can I say about this place that has not been said already? This place is nice! Maybe a drive for some, depending where you live, parking is almost non-existence…and the prices are primo. But the value, experience and quality of food and service is excellent. We have now visited their Miami Beach location twice, and each time that Lewellyn’s Fine Fried Chicken is excellent‼ Full of flavor, PERFECTION. Waffles for the kids, and their Deviled Eggs for mama. Great atmosphere, vibe, ambiance… beautiful furniture.

With the thousands of photos and reviews, not sure mine is needed, but I’ll give it anyway. I’m on par with everyone, absolutely awesome place! Go here! I had the fried chicken sandwich w/side salad and side of fries. Loved it, Loved it! I had wanted to try this place when I was in Vegas last and didn’t get there. So glad I made it here. I sat at the bar and was a great experience. Bartenders were friendly and would have a conversation with you. Food came out quickly and hot. The nashville hot sauce and ranch served with this sandwich was exactly what you need on this huge juicy chicken breast. In order to eat the whole sandwich, which was a must, I could only eat a few fries, but if I had the capacity to, everything would have been gone. Everyone’s food coming out the kitchen looked awesome! I wish they had this place in StL(hint-hint)

This was my second time dining at Yardbird, and I am confident that it will always be this good. Neighboring Lincoln Road Mall and just a few minutes from the beach, Yardbird is located in a great spot. My brunch experience started when I was sat down in 5 minutes after being told I might have to wait 30. Score. We started off with the Maple Bacon Donuts and Loaded Fried Green Tomatoes. The donuts came with a butterscotch sauce that I secretly thought about drinking. The green tomatoes came with a pimento spread and pork belly that was to die for. After apps, we ordered the Elvis Pancakes, Brisket Biscuits, YardBenedict, and Dulce de Leche Waffles. To be honest, the appetizers were much better. I’d order more appetizers for the table and less entrees. However, the Benedict and Biscuits were AMAZING. The service was awesome, the food was delicious, and the location is great. What more can you ask for? I will definitely be coming back here

The store environment was great, we saw there’s ton of Unilocal reviews and decided come here having my birthday dinner. The food here were good and delicious. Especially the«deviled eggs».it was delicate and yummy. The service here is not genuine, kinda like a actor/actress when they’re recommending what is the popular food in their store. But Not all of them act like this. BTW I still have a amazed experience in MIAMI.

It’s very rare that you find a restaurant and love everything about it! From the décor, to the service, to the food, everything was absolutely on point! Service: we sat at the bar and were helped by Gabby. Gabby was not only super friendly, but super attentive and gave us great suggestions on food and drinks. She even made her own watermelon mojito special concoction based on things that my friend liked, and it was so good, I ordered the same! Décor: very trendy. When I heard I was going to a southern style restaurant, I was expecting more of a rustic, old style kind of «run down» casual spot. This place had the southern flare, but is very modern and trendy. Perfect for happy hour. Food: freakin amazing! It’s very rare that you go to a restaurant and every single you try is absolutely amazing! Fried green tomato BLT– an explosion of some complex flavors in your mouth, that work really well together. Fried green tomato is delicious and really embodies the«southern cuisine» to me. The pork, cheese, and arugula blend together perfectly. Warm farmers cheese– WOW. Pretty sure just about everyone loves cheese, but this cheese is on another level! Made with goat and cow milk, and cooked slightly. Just, WOW. Together with the watermelon it’s the Perfect light little precursor to your meal. Shrimp & grits– I’ve had grits quite a few times, and people often get it wrong. Not the case at all here. Grits are cooked perfectly, not too hard and grainy, not too watery. The butter and cheese are just right, and go just right with the shrimp. Fries-crispy and so yummy! Hand cut. Chicken n watermelon n Waffles– DONOTLEAVEHEREWITHOUTTHIS. Hands down best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had, including what I’ve had in North Carolina and Roscoes Chicken n Waffles. The waffles are sweet and cooked with cheese, which is not overpowering and makes the world of difference. The watermelon has some great flavoring on it including a spicy kick, best flavored watermelon I’ve tried, the flavor makes this fruit blend well with the meal. And last but not least, the chicken! Wow, I think I’m in love. Perfect crispyness, excellent flavoring, and the hot sauce on the side just goes perfectly on top of it. So basically, if I am ever in the area again, I am 100% coming back here!

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar has quite a name built up. For a restaurant so close to Lincoln Road Mall/South Beach with pricey dishes, I honestly did not have high expectations. Now having been here twice I can confidently recommend Yardbird and would definitely come back. Yardbird’s ambiance is an interesting cross of different things. Rustic is the word that comes to mind, but then again rustic is an adjective so over-used when all it really means is describing something country-like or simple. Rustic is also a funny adjective in the way that it doesn’t tell you the dress code. You could have rustic chic, which is modern and elegant, but you could also have rustic homey, which would be more casual and downplayed. The truth is Yardbird plays to both these types and you can come for a casual lunch with friends or date night. We shared our dishes family style, which I prefer with Southern style food. We started with a kale salad and grilled Caesar salad. The kale salad came with mango and salad(guess who was picking off all the extra mango pieces? Me!) and the Caesar proved that all Caesar salads should be grilled. Whoever thought of grilled salads, should be cooking my nightly meals. Both salads were beautifully dressed. Then came the biscuits. These are not your KFC biscuits and honey, these are massive and obviously very filling(especially for a side dish!). We had one brisket and one chicken and it was served with pepper jam. I had a taste of each, very good! We also tried their deviled eggs. I would call the deviled eggs a must try! They were some of the best and most unique I’ve ever had. There was also the mac and cheese, a rightfully cheesy dish. Finally, time for the main entrée: chicken and waffle, of course with the side of watermelon. The chicken is one of the reasons I returned to Yardbird. It is a winner in many ways. Seasoned, crispy skin with moist meat. It’s a highlight here and definitely a shareable portion. For drinks I tasted a watermelon cocktail and their bloody Mary. The watermelon was refreshing. Bloody Mary had all the spices and fixin’s. Definitely a nice compliment to the food. We could’ve stopped there. We should’ve stopped there. But we were celebrating a birthday, so there had to be dessert. I don’t recall if we chose or were recommended to get the Deep fried Oreos, but it was the right choice. Most often you can’t go wrong with deep fried anything, but this was not just any deep fried snack from a local carnival. I swear they deep fried some love right into it. Yes yardbird yes, keep doing your thing. Can’t wait to meet again.

Just a great experience! They offer specific plates from south kitchen in the US. There are options of chicken and pork and so entrees and salads. They have. Strong offer on bourbon, whiskers and wines. Prices are higher than any other place around but the quality is worthy, specially around Lincoln Rd, that has averages places to eat. The ambience is lovely, and you should do a reservation or there will be waiting time, always full at dinner time. There are long tables for groups and a small deck outside. Service was very good and precise. Highly recommended.

Eh… I’m sad to disagree with all the stellar reviews but Yardbird was lacking for me. Came here with a friend for brunch and we wanted to eat healthier so we didn’t order fried chicken, even though that’s what they’re known for. Anyway, here’s what we got instead: Butter lettuce and grilled mango salad– This sounded promising but in reality the mango chunks were crunchy, under ripe and kind of sour :/I wasn’t a fan of the seasoning either. If I could go back I’d the Kale salad instead– the table next to us ordered that and it looked much more appetizing. Yardbird Benedict– Not bad, just too rich. I couldn’t finish my half of this dish because it was too salty. Service was okay, not spectacular. I noticed our server became less friendly when we chose not to order drinks. Ambiance is very modern and inviting though Ultimately, I think food needs to taste good and Yardbird didn’t deliver, especially at this price point. If you’re a huge fan of fried chicken, waffles and other southern foods you might love this place but I probably wouldn’t return based on the dishes I tried.

Will this review convince you to finally try Yardbird after the 2000 plus reviews of this place? You must be one stubborn Unilocaler if 2000 reviews hasn’t convinced you other wise but let’s get at it. Place is located block off Lincoln road so sure it doesn’t have the people watching traffic of Lincoln but the only thing you’ll be Google eyeing over is the plates in front of you or the beautiful people that are also eating including yourself ;). This is southern type cooking, gets to your soul so it’s perfect for a hangover or to ease that worries heart or heck just to fill your tummy. There is a brunch menu until 4pm and dinner menu from then on. I dig the dinner menu more but that’s just me. This place is nice to have brunch because it has a sunny feeling both indoors and out. Outdoors doggies are allowed. Cocktails are superb. If you like bourbon like I do, their mixed cocktails are not girlie despite the ingredients. The blackberry bourbon lemonade is one of my favorites, it has a bourbon forward flavor. Fried chicken is what they are known for, definitely a plate is split with a couple of sides a la carte, I would recommend that and the ribs for a family style dinner. If you don’t share food like me, I love the short rib, falls off the bone comes with cauliflower mashed potatoes green beans and corn. Save room for dessert if you dare as I want to always go back and try another one. Last one I had was fried Oreos, holy goodness it will hit the spot and then make you feel guilty after the hotties run by you in their workout gear but do it! Those runners will never be as happy as u are in that moment of indulging in an old twisted version of a childhood snack.

A idéia aqui é compartilhar.
