I love world resources. I have been here quite a few times with my family. It is one of the places we always look forward to going together when we are visiting. There is an outdoor seating area, where it is always fun to relax, people-watch, eat, and have a drink. There sushi and there thai infusion is quirky and fun. It is not the most fancy or exotic food you will find in Miami, however it’s quite a bang for your buck. Also, their drinks are delicious. It’s a good place to go for light fare while you are shopping or even going out on the town later. Big fan of world resources. Also, their desserts are to die for.

Ok, this place deserves a good review from me. I have been a patron for what feels like forever, each time it kept getting better and better. At one point I didn’t visit for 2 years, then came back and was very pleasantly surprised. I know visit at lease once every other month. This is not only a great spot for people watching on Lincoln, but they offer a full bar(unlike Sushi Siam a few steps up that only offers beer and wine), the service is decent to good and the menu has a lot to pick from. I really like the ‘caliente’ roll… I know it’s chicken, but whatever, I really like it. My s/o orders the dragon roll and has recently deemed it the 2nd best she has ever had(2nd to the place in Long Island, NY we used to frequent). I recommend it — its good sushi!

HOWTOMAKEMEHAPPY: Seat me at a comfy table with a great view for people-watching and bring me a refreshing beverage and tasty, healthy, fresh food. Don’t make me wait around to place my order, start my meal or pay my check. Smile at me, be pleasant, and make me feel like you’re glad I’m there. World Resource Café delivered on all accounts tonight. A friend and I had a great pre-show meal, and we were both very pleased with the experience. We sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather and breezy people passing by. We ordered iced tea; she got Thai and I got green. See the pic; they were as good as they look. She had a salad with crispy scallops, and I got panang curry with tofu. The curry was absolutely exquisite – sweet, spicy, creamy, but not heavy. I absolutely polished the plate. Only criticism might have been that the salad was a bit meager. My friend was hungry again by the time the show finished. Given the prices, the portion sizes were a bit small. Service was lovely – quick, efficient, with a smile. A very nice meal all around.

Nothing spectacular from any other Japanese/Asian Fusion restaurant you can find elsewhere, other it being on Lincoln Road. Food was okay, although I did not eat much. Menu was also a bit pricey, but I expected nothing more due to the fact of where it was located. Had the sushi/sashimi combination platter with chicken teriyaki. Other items bought with my party were the green curry and singapore noodles. Again, nothing spectacular. Though we all enjoyed the desserts. The tempura/beignet like coated apples were sweet and delicious! Service was great the night we went, the waitress was very accommodating with our party and our multiple checks she single-handedly sorted through.

great thai food for Sobe. The dishes were fresh and plentiful. it is very touristy but the food was traditional thai style. Great for people watching and hanging out. Loved the basil grouper and the pineapple basil fried rice it was definitely a surprise !

The manager was nice. That’s the only good thing I can say about my experience there. Let’s start with the service(other than the incredibly accommodating manager.) Our server was a robot. Literally — they forgot to implant a personality and the only shred of personality that came out was a condescending attitude. At one point, after the bus boy brought the wrong sushi roll for my sister I told our server about it and all he said was, «Yea, I know. That’s why I went back and put the new order in.» I know the condescension doesn’t really come across here but trust me, it was there. He also was nowhere to be found so when we needed something we had to ask another server or a busboy. I kind of wish I’d reduced his tip(it was automatically added to the check… what a surprise.) For 5 people we paid over $ 100 and the food was not that good. Besides getting my sister’s order wrong, my parents both asked for their curry to be as spicy as it comes. I’m much more sensitive to spice than they are and when I tried my mom’s curry, I felt little more than a tingle on the tip of my tongue. My dad’s curry apparently had absolutely no heat. There’s big difference between no heat and Thai Spicy. I usually try to stay away from the tourist trap restaurants that line Lincoln Rd. but I’ve had some luck(granted, they were all Graspa Group restaurants, and those tend to be excellent.) I was embarrassed to have invited my parents here as our experience was abysmal.

Went here for lunch today because I was really in the mood for sushi. I wasn’t expecting much the usual lincoln road deal. I don’t like Sushi Siam because the fish is run of the mill an it’s pricey so I decided to try World Resources Café. If I closed my eyes and opened my wallet I wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference. I’m guessing that they get their fish from the same distributor. If you find yourself here don’t order sushi. Some of the other dishes sound good and were liked by other Unilocalers. The vietnamese sandwich sounds tasty. If you need Sushi and you’re on Lincoln rd. I’d recommend Sushi Samba. Bonzai

I am a tad disappointed having come back here after so long. Although my rating stands at three stars, the third one was earned by the incredibly helpful manager or owner. Not sure what she was but she let us send her the online coupon my daughter had and printed it up for us. Otherwise it would be a two star. The service was very slow, our food took a long time to come out. Although the food was very tasty I did find it very overpriced. The portion of my Green Curry left me hungry. It cost about $ 18, usually dinner portions at any restaurant serve enough to satisfy, if not enough for two people. I doubt we will be back even though the food was good, sitting outside can be fun for people watching if you are lucky enough not to get a table full of smokers right next to you.

You pay $$ for people watching. Food nothing to write home about. Mostly Asian, boring.

Okay first of all, I’m very picky about my asian fusion food. Lesson learned, if you have an authentic Asian favorite dish, DON’T order it at a fusion. So we ordered the Caliente roll, New York dumplings and Papaya Salad. The roll was pretty good, the dumplings were alright and the Papaya Salad was good too. They’re specials change everyday and they have a happy hour special menu. So I would recommend calling ahead of time to see what their special is for the day.

Randomly came here for lunch after browsing Lincoln road with my Mom and bf. There was a lot to choose from on the lunch menu, so in a way to get a little of everything I ordered the bento box. While it was a lot of food nothing was stellar except the vegi tempura, but it takes a lot of work to ruin tempura… Sushi was 4 pieces that you couldn’t choose and kinda meh. Another big disappointment was the california rolls. They are made with fake crab. I don’t get how places get away with serving fake crab. The bento box also came with miso soup and salad. Miso soup was pretty good, the salad was gross. The bf and mom both decided to order the chicken Vietnamese sandwich and were both please. The large sandwich was bursting with flavor and came on crusty bread. While the sandwich was good, the sweet potato fries it came with were kinda soggy. Service was pretty much non existence. My water glass sat empty the entire meal remained that way, until I was finally able to flag down a waiter. I’m stuck between 2 and three stars for this place. I probably won’t come back here again.

«I really want sushi. I really don’t want to drive anywhere else. I really don’t want to walk too far. Let’s just eat here.» By no means should World Resource Café be your #1 sushi choice when the craving hits. Unless your sentiments at the moment match the sentence above. Its decent, but not great by any means. If you’ve read my other sushi restaurant reviews, you’ll know that to me, the quality of the rice is the first indicator of whether the restaurant is good or not. Well, World Resource Café failed my sushi rice test. The sashimi was fresh. The spicy tuna roll was pretty ok. But I wasn’t loving it. I wasn’t even totally liking it. It was just… meh.

Worst experience in a really long time. Masaman Curry Chicken. Don’t touch it!!! The potatoes were raw, the dish lacked in coconut milk and on top of everything else the sushi got my friend sick. The service was absolutely horrifying, the waiter put her finger in the rice bowl as she carried it to the table and had the worst attitude EVER. Not a great evening.

I’ve been to World Resource twice; this review combines both experiences. The service is below average for a restaurant of this caliber, location, and price range. During my most recent visit, we waited too long to be greeted, had our drink and appetizer orders taken by a different server than the one who greeted us, and then didn’t see either server for about 15 minutes. In that time, our appetizer arrived(without side plates). We had long since finished it by the time our server came back to take our order. She was a friendly girl, but clearly overwhelmed. To me this indicates a problem from the management level rather than the individual server. The food here tastes good — I rate this aspect 3 stars overall. The yellowtail sashimi with jalepeno could have used more spice and the rock shrimp would have been better without so much breading, but the sushi rolls were light on the rice, tasty, and well presented. One big problem: about two hours after dining here, my partner got sick and remained that way for the duration of the evening. I ate mostly the same food but did not get sick, so I will not go so far as to call this«food poisoning» or negligence… but there was definitely something funky in the fish. Sorry, World Resource, I won’t be back again.

We were starving and walking down Lincoln Road, looking for anything that was not Italian or Brunch and that had indoor seating(we needed AC bad). Which is really hard to find on Lincoln Road. Anyways, we walked past this place and saw the great prices on the menu so we decided to give it a try. The menu is very large and the prices are low for most items, especially the rolls. Most of the menu consists of semi-Japanese items and Thai selections. There was some Vietnamese influence, but no actual Vietnamese dishes(for example: Goi Cuon= Fresh Salad Roll). The sodas here are from tap, but no free refills. I had the Fresh Salad Roll($ 7.00) for an appetizer, which came with two fat rice paper rolls filled with tofu, lettuce, sprouts, and cucumber with peanut dipping sauce. I asked for a side of Sriracha or Sambal and ended up with a side of Tabasco. The Snow White Roll($ 11.00) was fried shrimp, coconut, and pineapple– and it somehow managed to taste bland. The Yuba Roll($ 9.00) was very inventive filled with seared tuna, watercress, avocado, and crabstick. The impressive taste of this roll was the Yuzu blended sauce that you used for dipping, which made the roll taste very fresh, almost like a rice salad. We were lucky to find this place so quickly and not fall victim to lower quality food on the strip at ridiculous prices. If you frequent Lincoln Road and have not had sushi here yet, then you are missing out.

I always end up here celebrating birthdays and other miscellaneous group dinners. It’s kind of the simple sushi go to Lincoln Road place. Yes you can still do the people watching and the prices are fair. However, more importantly they can accommodate big groups without the hassle. The sushi as I mentioned before is simple but not bad.

The fare is pretty normal, nothing really sets it apart from any other run of the mill sushi, but the outdoor seating in Lincoln Road makes up for it. It is just such an enjoyable experience when you sit there and take in the surroundings, people watch and chill during any give beautiful South Florida evening in Lincoln Road– and sushi and sake, albeit average will always taste so much better when you are having fun in the tropics.

I’ve wandered over to World Resource several times while out around Lincoln Rd. It’s a pretty standard sushi & thai restaurant, but a couple of their offerings stand out. They have a delicious sizzing beef appetizer featuring strips of steak wrapped around green onions and sauteed in teriyaki sauce(beef negimaki). The portion is huge — enough to serve as an entrée, for sure. I’ve had several of their rolls, and while they’re all very good, none stand out as the«best» in my book. Their specialty drinks are another high point, including a mean sake-tini. World Resource is a good place to pop in for a small bite and drink while you’re out and about on Lincoln Road. Their prices are pretty typical for the area, so if you’re not used to it, it’ll definitely seem a little pricey.
