Misleading reviews as came here tonight and restaurant isn’t open. There is a sign that says Buddha outside.

I’m very excited that Michael(formerly of Little Lotus) has brought his new venture — Buddha Sushi Bar — to South Beach! Buddha Sushi Bar has taken over the former Polar Bar space, which mean that there’s plenty of outdoor seating available so you can take in all the amazing Lincoln Road people-watching while dining of fantastic Japanese-style tapas and awesome sushi rolls. We popped in relatively soon after they opened their doors to the public, and just asked Michael to bring us some of his favorite dishes. We indulged in awesome pork gyoza with a slightly spicy sauce, a crispy pork-and-onion salad, fantastically awesome crispy brussels sprouts, and one of his signature rolls — the fruity roll(tuna, mixed fish, asparagus, and peach, wrapped in soy paper with a sweet sauce). Everything was phenomenal! The fruity roll was a fabulous combo of salty and sweet, and while a little messy, I would definitely order it again! The brussels sprouts were awesome — almost on par with my personal favorite in town(Pubbelly’s). Welcome to South Beach and Lincoln Road, Michael and Buddha Sushi Bar! I can’t wait to make it back!

Yes this is their second location and I am so excited because this one is closer to me and just more convenient. They took over the Polar Bar space. They literally just opened a few days ago. They are still working on their décor but it’s Lincoln Rd. plenty tables outside. They do have a long bar on the inside and a kitchen where you can see the ever so talented Michael preparing your dishes. The menu consist of appetizers both hot and cold, sushi, sashimi, and some Buddha beer shaped into a big fat Buddha green bottle and wow it is good beer. Jackson the owner has it imported. The service was excellent by a sweet young girl who was so chipper and happy. We told Michael to make us whatever as usual he never disappoints. We started with yellow tail jalapeño app, look at the beautiful picture. The fish was great but the sauce was incredible. It had such a great spice to it. The crispy pork onion salad was delightful and then the crispy Brussels sprouts with mandarin orange slices was out of this world. I usually do not like Brussels sprouts but wow I can not wait to have them again. Then we wanted a roll so Michael made us The Mohawk roll, it had shrimp tempura, salmon, avocado, and lettuce with some various sauces blended together that made me almost want to order another one it was so good. Not to many great restaurants on Lincoln Rd. so this is awesome to have here. If your in the area check them out. Jackson and Michael do a great job. Prices are very reasonable. They do have a large screen TV for game watching facing outside the window. Stop, people watch and have some excellent food. Yay can not wait to go back this week.
