So far the best sushi in Miami. Fusion, mix, delicious, super tasty. I die for for butter crap and yellowtail one. Everything I have tried is good. Super cool and nice people.

This is he best food I’ve ever had in my life. Orgasmic delicious complex flavors in every dish. The salmon mofongo was crispy on the edges with a delicious sweet and salty bite. The crab pasta was cooked to perfection al dente. The Brussel sprouts will knock your socks off! The scallops are melt in your mouth perfect. Sake it to me all day everyday.

I hadn’t been to regular Pubelly in a few years as my friends and I tend to prefer the lighter fare at PB Sushi. Last night however we ventured back to the original and were majorly impressed. They have an updated menu which was absolutely fab and the service was hands-down incredible. Not easy to find on the beach! The best part of all is that if they’re not too busy they let you order sushi from next door so you can do a great combo of both restaurants. The buffalo sweetbread and brussels sprouts were to die for. Big eye tuna was delish as always. The Nutella brownies from the Sunday brunch pastries cart was super yummy. Overall just a great dinner with great energy. Happy to have rediscovered it.

This place had the weirdest sushi. It was good but weird. We waited a long time for a table and then enjoyed almost everything except the wagyu beef tartar roll. It was raw meet over rice.

Really delicious food, very unusual sushi. Only two things to look out for: 1. the house wine is terrible, just get a beer — their beer selection is great. 2. the service is slow and there are long wait times. It’s a popular place, so plan to spend a few hours and enjoy the company. Make sure you make a reservation!

I am pretty sure people around us thought we were doing something else besides eating because we were a party of six and all you could hear from each person every couple minutes was«oh my gawwdddd!!!», «Mmmmm!!!», «oh wow!!!», «mm, I love it», «oh yea that is good», etc. Most restaurants have some specialty dishes that are really good and some dishes that are not very good. At Pubbelly(and pubbelly sushi), every single dish makes you say«Wow!». I’m not exaggerating, come try it yourself! It is tapas-style dining so you can choose a lot more variety of small plates and share amongst the table. We ordered a loooottt of food but this is just some of my feedback on a couple items we ordered. The mofongo, shortrib tartare, and Japanese amberjack are a MUSTHAVE when you go there! The buffalo sweetbreads were probably my least favorite. Don’t get me wrong, they were good, but nothing extraordinary like the other dishes. Just tasted like common buffalo sauce. The octopus was a bit tougher and chewy than I thought. I’ve had octopus that has been sous vide so it comes out so soft and tender. The flavors were great tho, especially the almonds gave it a nice touch! I’m Asian… so I’ve had my share of fried rice in my lifetime. But I gotta say, the kimchee fried rice at pubbelly has got to be the best! I had rabbit for my first time today. It came with braised escargot, which is also a delicacy. This dish was also very flavorful and quite delicious. I’m not big on desserts but to say that the leche frita was good is a huge compliment from me! Keep in mind, they include 20% gratuity on your bill already!!! Nevertheless, the service was pretty decent. My only minor complaint was that they didn’t explain every dish to us when the food was ran but luckily we had a pubbelly expert at our table and he was the one who ordered for us and explained everything to us; plus we had the menus so I kept looking back to know what I was eating. Oh and one more thing that really bothered us during our dining experience was the fact that the table was so wobbly! We tried to fix it but it just kept rocking back and forth the whole time and it was pretty annoying… But overall, I have not left a restaurant as satisfied as I did tonight! If I could, I would give pubbelly more than 5 stars! I can’t wait until they open the one in brickell!!!

Amazing tasting menu. It was an incredible value and allowed us to taste so much more of the menu than we would have otherwise. And the serving sizes on most of the dishes were pretty crazy. Just one recommendation… ask them to bring things slowly! We had 4 dishes in front of us at most times, and we are not slow eaters. Tough to complain on that, but it would have been mores joys or to take each course as it came.

Beautiful. Mouth-watering. Fun. Of all the gastropubs saturating the Miami food scene, Pubbelly stands out in the best way for its exquisite, down-to-earth yet oh-so-fancy food and young energetic vibe. It’s one of the best food places on the Beach, bringing you something of a Miami meets Cuba(although Miami is pretty much Neo-Cuba) meets Japan fare. Fans who seek out a delightful culinary experience will keep coming back over and over to bathe in pork belly heaven. If you don’t eat pork, you can probably still pick from 10−15% of the menu, not to mention their delicious sake cocktails(I recommend the Eddy – a refreshing lavender drink anyone?). The items on the menu are as good as they sound and gorgeous to look at, so don’t mind me if I do snap away at my food. I first came for 2014 Miami Spice and fell in love with all of their creative and drool-inducing dishes. Who knew pork could be incorporated in so many different ways?! I’ve been meaning to come back again but if you attempt score a table on a Saturday night at the height of business hours without a reservation, then be prepared for an hour long wait. My stars finally aligned a year since my last visit(still bummed I missed this year’s Miami Spice), and I came here for a special birthday celebration. Their dates avec chorizo was as heavenly as I remember. It’s an absolutely divine combination of sweet chewy dates and smoky bacon sitting atop a layer of tangy tomato sauce. The dollop of goat cream on top of each small bite seals the deal for one of the best finger foods/appetizers I’ve tried. This is my favorite item in the restaurant, period. The pork belly is another must-try. The sweet corn purée serves a nice balance to the savory pork belly, cooked to perfection. We also tried the cochinillo, which is a roasted suckling pig with an interesting side of crispy, tart green apples – a new combo for me. For a non-pork dish, we got the rabbit mezzaluna, a half moon shaped pasta that comes with a rich velvety sauce made of braised escargot, mustard, leeks, pistachios, and samphire. If you’ve never tried rabbit meat, this is your chance to go for it! For dessert, we went for a classic sundae with a Pubbelly twist. The ice cream was served with a piping hot molten brownie, topped with bacon caramel and chicharon. You really can’t tell there’s pork bits in your dessert if you didn’t see it listed under the ingredients on the menu. The rich chocolaty flavor definitely takes center stage in this one. I highly recommend this restaurant for a night out with foodie friends, out of town friends, and casual special occasions!

They changed the menu and not for the better. They removed the pan con tomate! The scallops escargot no longer come with a baguette. No more kimchee fried rice but you can ask for it. The dumplings and McBelly still good but that’s about all that is left. They have some new short rib entrée but they had run out last night. Quite frankly a little disappointed as it appears that menu decisions were based on profit margins rather than what patrons want. Desert still solid. We had the fried Leche and bread pudding. Bring back the old menu!

Get in my belly! What keeps me coming back? I’m a fatty at heart, I’ve got the body to prove it, and their menu incorporates pig in 27 different ways(or more)! There’s little left for disappointment. 5 Stars. Post Review. Done. Pubbelly is innovative and their passion for food is evident in their approach. I have enjoyed their cuisine on several occasions: Brunch, Cochon 555 Tour, PB Station preview popup, Wednesday’s burger night, and most recently for Miami Spice. Every dish makes me feel warm inside, like it’s Christmas and I’m unwrapping the Michelle watch I’ve had on my wish list for years. As I’m writing this review, I’m dreaming of the dates avec chorizo on their Classics menu. They’re served over a spicy tomato sauce that’s also good all by itself. As a matter of fact, all their sauces are worthy of hanging onto for dipping purposes(ask for bread). What else is good on their Miami Spice menu… octopus greek salad, pork ribs, hanger steak, and oooohh those sweet endings! And because one dessert is not enough, we ordered two! Between the Yuzu Key Lime and the S’mores Bites, it’s hard to pick – one is more tart and the other is a bourbon pudding that you could lick off the jar. They’re equally delicious so just order both! Share both. Problem solved. I must also rave about their burger menu on Wednesday nights: Half & Half and Big Kahuna are the best. Their chocolate and banana milkshake must also be tried. From their brunch menu I’ve really enjoyed the hearts of palm salad(cut in an unexpected way), soft shell crab benedict, short rib tartare, and the amazing selection of Maria’s pastries. The only pet peeve I have is their drink recommendations. Too much ice in their cocktails. I’ll just stick to beer. That’s just a minor setback; I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Tried this place during Miami spice. The place is easy to find but very tiny place. But don’t let the space fool you the food is awesome. We tried the prie fixe menu and got almost everything. We ordered duck ravioli, pork dumplings, chorizo, octopus salad and pork belly and banana pudding for desert. It’s a tapas bar so everything came in a small plate. But with 6 dish is enough for two. Really like the duck ravioli and chorizo. It’s really worth a try.

I am quite a fan of Pubbelly. This was my second visit on a Labor Day weekend trip to Miami and they continue to delivery quality, inventive, and delicious fare. Although Miami Spice was going on, we elected not to take advantage of the offer as it seems for $ 39 per person that you can order about the same amount of food without being limited to the items only available on the Spice menu. To start we ordered the heirloom tomato salad and black truffle short rib gyoza. The heirloom tomato salad was wonderful, a variety of ultra fresh and perfectly ripe heirloom tomatoes with a delicious chunk of firm textured tofu that was an ideal compliment to the salad. The gyoza was flat out awesome. Served in a small cast iron pan, the short ribs had been shredded very finely and encased in a thin rice paper wrapper. The black truffle hit your palate up front and beautifully complimented the fatty oils of the short rib. I also ordered a glass of the Pubbelly GSM red wine, which I thought was actually pretty good for $ 9. It was served a bit too cold, but was a quite jammy, but balanced wine with a slight tannic finish. Not bad. We next elected to try the buffalo sweetbreads. I love offal and feel like not enough restaurants are ambitious enough to put a few offal dishes on their menu. Pubbelly is the opposite; they offer a section devoted to offal. Be it pig brains, bone marrow, and in this case sweetbreads, I was in heaven trying to decide which to order. We settled on the sweetbreads, which were excellent. Done in a traditional buffalo wing-style, the sweetbreads were breaded and fried like boneless chicken wings. They were served on a plate of blue cheese dressing with carrots, celery, and radishes. I must say that this dish was very tasty, and actually a good way for non-offal eaters to experience this cuisine. I will add that the dish wash quite rich and better suited to a group of 4 than a couple. We also tried the shrimp fettucini, which I thought was good, but a rather safe dish. The pasta was cooked perfectly, but nothing jumped out at me as amazing. Finally, we also tried the brussel sprouts which were excellent. They were grilled and served with a wonderful miso glaze. I could eat the entire dish myself if my wife would let me. To finish off the meal we enjoyed the banana bread pudding topped with soft serve. Yes, I know soft serve was cool, now going out of style, but he bread pudding was superb. Great light texture, with flavorful banana and a caramel honey sauce. Yum. Overall we had a wonderful dinner, and although the restaurant wasn’t going crazy like our first visit. It was a great meal and I’m looking forward to our next offal indulgence.

If I ever had any doubt that my 10 year old son was a future foodie/yelper, this was quashed when instead of going to the Dolphin game Saturday night, he opted to come to a Miami Spice dinner with me. Okay, so it was just a pre-season game, but it was a first chance to glimpse the new stadium. Instead, 10 year old spent the afternoon studying Miami Spice menus, trying to find the restaurant that was«just right». I had the final say with Pubbelly because 10 year old just adored PB Steak and Pubbelly’s Miami Spice Menu offered many courses and choices. The Miami Spice menu at Pubbelly usually consists of five courses and all courses have to be agreed upon by the table. The courses we chose from were«Classics», «Flour/Water», «Sea/Garden», «Pig Out», and«Happy Ending». During our meal however, we were treated to an extra course, a choice of Brussels Sprouts or Crouquettas. I would have preferred the Brussels Sprouts but I did not think that 10 year old would go for them so Croquettas it was. Crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside, they were small little balls of absolute deliciousness. Believe it or not we felt most limited choosing from«Classics» course since two of the choices on that list were sweetbreads and veal brains. I have no doubt they were probably delicious but we were not that adventurous. So we ended up with the Dates avec Chorizo and the Pork Ribs. The dates were out of this world. The dates themselves were huge, plump, sweet, and juicy. The chorizo added just the right juxtaposition of savory flavor. The Pork Ribs had a great flavor. Each diner is given 1 rib. 10 year old’s was big and juicy. Mine was very fatty. I think my favorite course was the Flour/Water. The Short Rib Gyoza probably had more meat than noodle surrounding it. The Shrimp Bolognese was wonderful(and the best dish of the evening!) The pasta had that bit of texture that homemade pastas has and the bolognese sauce had tiny bits of shrimp and a velvety smooth tomato flavor. For the Sea/Garden course we ordered Seabeans & Clams. Both 10 year old and I did not like this dish and we could not eat it. The clams were very small and the flavor was overwhelming. Up until this time I would have described our server as «adequate». He served us quickly in a perfunctory manner but was not too friendly. When we did not like the Seabeans & Clams however, our server graciously asked us to choose another item instead. It was at that point that he won our hearts. The Florida Snapper Salad he recommended was so much better! Even though the portions were small we were starting to get full. We had to find room for last savory course, Pork Belly Confit. The Pork Belly was rich and flavorful, accented with a butterscotch miso on top… delicious! I only wish there were more brussel sprouts on the side.
For dessert we chose the Yuzu Key Lime Pie. This was almost like a deconstructed Key Lime Pie as the components were not traditionally on top of ob another. The key lime part had a gelatin like consistency and was way too tart for me. However, if you ate it in a bite with some of the meringue, graham cracker crust, and homemade whipped cream, it was much better. 10 year old absolutely loved it. All of the items on the. Miami Spice menu ate on the regular menu. Miami Spice was a great way to try a large variety of items. I am a big fan of the delicious morsels Pubbelly serves and I hope to return!

Four years later, returned to Pubbelly for Miami Spice and still a solid four stars! Unlike the first time I came, we didn’t have to fight for a table and walked in right when they opened on a Saturday night and were seated right away. The reason I hadn’t been to Pubbelly in so long was that I fell hard for PB Steak. Thankfully, Pubbelly still has a lot of the same dishes as PB Steak and then some! We chose it for Miami Spice since you can try a lot of dishes at one time from each category — Classics, Flour + Water, Sea + Garden, Pig Out, Happy Ending. Know that the whole table must agree on the dishes so it’s best for two people that don’t mind sharing! My favorites were the dates avec chorizo, buffalo sweetbreads(best to not tell your dining partner what sweetbreads are), shortrib gyozas, and rabbit dumplings with snails. From the Sea + Garden section we opted for the hearts of palm salad with burrata that was a great addition to the mix. The biggest letdown was unfortunately the dish we anticipated the most, steak and frites. The steak was way overcooked. Thankfully, the sadness was washed away with a bite of yuzu key lime pie. A deliciously tart ending to an overall great meal. Spice was a great reason to make a trip back to Pubbelly. I certainly won’t wait four years to come back again!

Came here for Miami Spice and the food was amazing. The concept for prefixed menu is a bit weird. Usually for restaurant tastings it’s one appetizer one entrée and one desert per person for a set price. However, Pubbelly does pick four appetizers and two entrees and they come in servings based on the amount of people opting for prefixed menu plus one type of desert for every 3 people… This left us which the whole party a bite or two of everything. A bit sad for a $ 50 meal. And our server seemed frustrated and upset most of the time. Nonetheless the food tasted very good. We had the Japanese Amberjack with lemongrass romeseco, morrones and hazelnuts(a bit spicy but the fish was delicious). Grilled miso Brussel sprouts with bacon bits(loved the charred edges with the miso glaze). Croquetas were very good but we only got to taste one each. Beef tartare with quail egg and goat cheese spread ciabatta was my favorite. My god the beef was fresh and the sauce had a good kick to it. Braised pork cheeks with potato foam, caviar jus and mushroom marmalade was soft and fell apart. Mixed with the sauce and it was an explosion of flavor in your mouth. Shortrib gyozas with black truffle, white corn soy and parmesean was very unique and the filling was great! Black Tagliatelle shrimp bolognese with kimchee butter was delicious but we didn’t get enough and wanted to scrape the plate for more. Smore with Bourbon pudding and marshmallow graham bites in a jar was alot of people’s favorite but I liked the strawberry bites with dulce de Leche mousse and crème brûlée bits.

I went to Pubbelly last week to try their PB Burger pop-up. The burgers were both delicious, but the cheese fries and the milkshake of the day(banana-chocolate) were the stars for me — probably because I have a weak spot for french fries and chocolate shakes! We also had the mofongo which did not disappoint. This wasn’t my first time at Pubbelly, as I’ve been for other pre-fixe dinners, as well as normal dinner service and brunch. It definitely isn’t my last time visiting either, considering it’s one of my favorite restaurants in Miami.

Ok, so this place has good food. So why the 3 stars, you ask. Well it’s because a lot of the really good dishes that I personally loved are no longer there. My wife and I loved the Udon carbonara, which was amazing and delicious, but unfortunately they no longer serve it. The appetizers are ok, but nothing amazing. I just went for the PB Burger Wednesday, being drawn in by what seemed amazing creations, but left hungry and disappointed. I think the idea was good, but the execution was not up to par. Now, seeing as there are so many amazing restaurants, each offering amazing and delicious creations, why would I settle for just ok. This may sound harsh, and it might be, but it is only my opinion. If you’re still in doubt, try it out and see, maybe you love it. Happy eating!

We arrived at Pubbelly around 7 pm on a Saturday night and the wait was only ten minutes — so certainly not impossible to get a table! The menu is huge and there were only two of us so we didn’t get to try all the incredible sounding dishes. We had: Croquetas(with huitlacoche, mexican corn fungus) Short rib tartare Pork cheeks with gnudi Short rib and corn dumplings Arroz con morcilla(rice with blood sausage) We loved everything we ordered! The croquetas were creamy and delicious, the tartare rich and spicy(mixed with raw egg and wasabi). The arroz was similar to a hearty risotto. Five tapas for two people was the perfect amount. The issue I had with Pubbelly was that all the food(all FIVE dishes) arrived at our table at once. I can’t stand when this happens while eating tapas — they need to be spaced out! Instead, I felt overwhelmed and we ate too fast. This was definitely a major downside but still, the food was wonderful. Next time, I wouldn’t order everything at once!

This place is AMAZING and is a MUST if you’re visiting Miami. We ordered the following: Pumpkin Duck Dumplings Pork Belly Confit Short Rib Tartare Spiced Milk Tempura —(dessert) Amante Picante —(cocktail) This is a tapas place so you order a bunch of dishes and chow down. I love tapas spots because you can have a taste of everything. The ambiance in here is very hip. It’s not a big spot and they get pretty busy, but the food is definitely worth the wait. We were fortunate enough to walk in at the right time and be seated immediately. Everything was so delicious and the flavors together were just out of this world. There isn’t a bad thing to say about them. Their service was great as well! I am going to be back in Miami in April, and this is definitely on my list to go back to!
