Just left. Stood at the«hostess» stand– which is really a sign that says PLEASEWAITTOBESEATED. Saw two severs several times going back and forth past us. After standing for ten minutes with no one greeting us, I walked to the bar and asked«is there a hostess» to which the bartenders respond: «we’re pretty full right now.» That wasn’t what I asked. I just wanted some to greet me. So the bartender asks one of the servers if they have anywhere to seat us. He points at a table of 8 and says«you can sit at the end of their table.» We just left. I could see that they were full, not jam packed but all the tables were taken. The bar was dirty. Even though there were seats no one had cleared the dirty plates and cups. But all I was requesting was for someone to acknowledge that we were standing near the three signs that say wait to be seated. Just acknowledge guests. Poorly handled.

Amazing food — beautiful atmosphere– friendly staff & authentic drinks. The owner Jorge is a caballero of the old school. If you want a more Cuban experience, you’ll have to go to Cuba! As a picky foodie New Yorker, when I’m in Miami Moreno’s is a must visit!!!

Once again I’m back in Miami(this time with friends) and just HAD to head on up to Moreno’s to show my peeps what’s what! The food, the vibe, the drinks, the live music all represent what a great night in South Beach should be… And you can experience this all at a reasonable price(Miami gets expensive!!!). And most impressive is the staff; I was here last fall for a solo birthday trip and had such a wonderful time mainly due to my new crush, Mario. Watching him make your drink is truly a treat!(Dirty chuckle) He makes you feel welcome, like an old friend, and is really easy on the eyes. So, head on over, for some yummy cuisine, refreshingly good drinks, eye candy & heavenly entertainment. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Came here based on the reviews and the great stars everyone was giving them. I was extremely disappointed. The service was good and the food was decent but nothing great. To top it all off, I was apparently dinner to a bunch of mosquitos hanging out under our table! I walked out of there with 6 huge mosquito bites! We didn’t walk out of that place, we practically ran.

About as Cuban as pollo tropical. Tasteless black beans with crunchy rice. The churrasco steak was some other strange cut with no flavor. 2 stars is for the service which was cordial. This is another«SOBe» tourist trap.

Went for brunch and the food was so good that we decided to go back for dinner the same night! Dinner was delicious. The Cuban Sampler appetizer is very good and gives you good option(I especially enjoyed the samples of the Cuban sandwiches). I had the camarones(shrimp) with garlic for my meal with rice and beans. They give you very generous portions. Be careful it if is going to rain. This place is mostly outdoors. It started pouring when we were there so a lot of people had to squeeze under the tent they have to eat. You still get rained on a bit and the floor gets very wet — but you are in FL — so what can you do!

I am staying at the Riviera. Through out my stay I’ve had breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can eat as light or as heavy as you want. Everything I had was amazing and very authentic. I was with 3 other people, so I was able to try a little everything. The vibe is fun and the service was great!

I had to take a minute in the middle of my meal to write a review about Gabriela(our server). I’ve been in Miami for a week now and she has offered the best service I’ve received so far! She has a constant smile on her face and great recommendations. She knew the menu very well. We trusted her so much that we asked her to «surprise» us with our drink and she totally nailed it! Amazing… We’re extremely happy and looking forward to out dessert right now!

We are not local, and we picked this place from Unilocal. The food was good, but nothing special. The portion size was small. The ambiance is nice. Flavored mph it was really good, and I really liked the sugar cane in it.

I was really looking forward to this place because of the reviews and pictures. Unfortunately I had an unpleasant experience. I was visiting for the week and through Unilocal I had read that the service in Miami was slow, but I hadn’t experienced that yet with other restaurants. When I arrived there wasn’t really a formal hostess stand. The restaurant is in a courtyard-type area with the hotel surrounding it. A lot of hotel guests were walking through, so I can understand that not everyone is looking to eat. I finally got the attention of someone(I don’t think he worked for the restaurant) and got seated. The waitress was sweet and accommodated me right away. I gave her my order and she came out with my water. I had ordered a coconut water, a guava and cream cheese pastelito and the media noche. She brought out my coconut water, but no pastelito. That didn’t really bother me, but then she came out with my sandwich with no mention of the other order. I decided I’d just have it as a dessert. This was my first time having a media noche and it was good. The pork had good flavor and the bread was soft and sweet. The sandwich was hot when it came out which I had appreciated. I had it with the potato sticks which I didn’t really care for, but they weren’t bad. As I proceeded to take my final bites, I saw something sticking out of the cheese. It looked like a hair, but I pulled it out to make sure(cause sometimes gooey cheese can look like hair.) Sure enough it was a hair. I stopped eating my sandwich and waited for my waitress to come(which took a long while.) When she finally came, I told her what happened. She was extremely apologetic and even looked embarrassed. She told me they wore hair nets. That’s all well and good(and mandatory,) but there’s still a hair and I’d like something to be done about it. She told me she’d talk to her manager and see if I can get it taken off the check. I sat there for 20 minutes waiting for her to get back, but she never came. I finally went to the bar and she looked at me like she didn’t recognize me. I told her I was done and was ready to pay. The guy who was seated next to me I think was irritated with her, too, because he had to wait a long time as well.(The place wasn’t crowded.) I told her I never got my pastelito and to please take that off the check, too, cause at that point I only wanted wanted to get out of there. She only took $ 2 off for the sandwich. This was just my experience, so I’m hoping it’s better for others. I’m sure they’re a good restaurant, but I won’t go back again.

Restaurant has a nice location connected to a hotel. I wish I could give this place a higher review but this is what it deserves. When my group walked in, nobody looked at us until we asked if it was open seating or assigned. We were told to take a seat anywhere. When asked if we wanted any drinks, we asked for water. When our waiter brought water, it was brought in small glasses that seemed like the size of a double shot. I looked around and saw everyone else with full size glasses of water. What’s up with that? Every time we finished water, we had to get up and walk into the hotel for the complimentary iced water(it was that or warm water from the waiters pitcher). As for food, our order took 40 minutes to come out. Other people who were seated after us got their food. Will post a photo of my meal — Lechon Asado

Lack luster experience at this ‘café’ which was more of an outdoor bar. We had dinner Monday night, the place was busy, we were seated next to some obnoxiously drunk people. Several parties around us were smoking cigarettes, that kinda of ruined the meal for me. Would you like some cancer with your dinner? Chairs, uncomfortable. Table wobbled so badly we held it down with our feet. Patio was cute but maybe just not what I was hoping for. Was pretty uncomfortable the whole time. Waiter was nice but service was also lack luster. AND an 18% service charge. We won’t be back. But the food was pretty good, too bad it was hard to enjoy the meal.

When we landed in Miami for our honeymoon, I immediately started Unilocaling like a madman trying to find great places to nom. While we were too tired after our flight, I bookmarked this place. We were both starving after our couples massage and we walked into Moreno’s Cuba for lunch and couldn’t have been happier. The Media Noche was out of this world. It sang a sweet song on my taste buds. The pulled pork is so out of bounds good. The highlight was Francisco’s sangria. Literally the best we’ve ever had. We could have had more but I’m pretty sure they would not have appreciated if we took a nap at the restaurant. Service is phenomenal and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Anybody who lives or visits South Beach needs to stop in and have a great meal.

Had a great experience here! Although it was POURING, we decided to stop in and get some authentic Cuban food while in Miami! Despite the rain, the staff did their best to dry everything off and accommodate us, including moving us several times when the wind changed and started drenching where we were sitting. Most of us ordered the Media Noche after reading reviews that it was the way to go for a Cuban sandwich. It was fantastic! Really thinly pressed, but still a good portion size. Also love the potato sticks it came with. I would recommend asking for a side of aioli which I did and added it! The space is pretty tiny and would definitely not recommend going there in the pouring rain, just because even though it’s covered, it’s pretty open and doesn’t have walls anywhere! However I would definitely recommend it and think the space would be so much fun on a beautiful day.

Para quem não come muito, é suficiente. Meu marido e eu dividimos o prato.
