This is a great place to come hang out have a drink. But if you are thinking of a good restaurant with good food you will be mistaken. Come have fun people see enjoy the atmosphere but do not have your expectations set for good food. The food is horrible.

We found this place while wandering around Lincoln road. We were craving some Cuban food real bad and was lucky to come across this place. We sat at a table outside and ordered our drinks/food. Suddenly a downpour of rain happened and the staff escorted us inside under umbrellas. Our waitress did a great job of finding a table for us inside instead. They ran out of the daily special so I ordered the house Cuban special instead. I’m so glad I did because it was THE best meal I had in Miami! The special was this Cuban spiced chicken that has been marinated for 36 hours then came with this delicious sauce that smothered the chicken. It also came with yellow rice, fried plantains, a salad and black beans. Yum yum yum! I can’t even put in words how amazing this chicken was. My friend also got the guava cheesecake which was also good! Great experience over all. Will def. Return next time I’m in Miami :)

So delicious. I ordered the Cuban while my friends ordered the house special(chicken marinated for 36 hours), the sandwich 1957, and a vaca frida — everything was delicious! The service was excellent and the restaurant was cute.

I love the dining options at Lincold Rd(can be expensive though). This was the first time I ate at a full Cuban restaurant. We weren’t sure what to order and asked for recommendations from our server. We had the Havana 1957 Specialty which is their special chicken — it was really good. We also ordered(pork) Lechon Asado, Enchilado de Camarones(shrimp) and the grouper from the light menu — Grouper a la Plancha. The food was fantastic, the portions were huge(except for the grouper). We also ordered red sangria which was good too. The staff is very friendly and our server made good recommendations. The outdoor seating at Lincoln Rd is my favorite part of the place, its lively, the music is great, the weather is good after sundown. It can be expensive to eat here but the food and overall experience is worth it!

After you try to over look the very loud music and the barely hearing the waiters the food is pretty good. Upon sitting down he ambiance was very cubanesque. The menu is plenty long which has a dish for everyone. Watch out for the mojitos $ 12.99 for a very small cup just FULLOFICE. We got the Havana 1949 or whatever it’s called chicken which is marinated for 3 days. And the flavor was great, chicken as cold but he flavor was great. When reading this please note I AMNOT *NOTAGAINSTTIPPING But Upon receiving the bill we were shocked to see how there was a huge tip included and it was just a. Party of 2. So great food. Ok ambiance. TERRIBLECOST when it comes to the total plus the tip they include themselves. Especially given we saw him 3 times at the most.

I had perfectly cooked eggs and mushrooms with Cuban toast and potatoes. Its also extremely reason for pricing that meal was under $ 10. They put it all in in a pan which looks cool. Also the«side salad» is a single bite of salad. But the Cuban coffee was amazing and I also liked the croquettes. I’d definitely recommend for a reasonably priced breakfast.

This place was bombbb! I ended up at this restaurant because I was in the mood for a meal that was cooked like your abuela was in the kitchen. How can you go wrong with Cuban food made with love lol??? The seating is perfect inside and outside dinning. There service was 5 stars. Our waitress was awesome she guided us through the whole menu and helped us decide what was their specials. I ordered their grilled chicken with a side of tostones and black beans. It was everything my soul desired just delicious! My love ordered the vaca frita with arroz moro(rice cooked in black beans) and tostones. I was in heaven with both are meals. I also enjoyed a really nice drink which was the coconut mojito. This place could get a little pricey thou. But a really cool spot can’t wait to come back again.

Ask your waiter what he recommends, here was the whole menu Cuba Inspired and he recommended lechon asado, lethargic above roasted pork layer with Cuban mojo. Drinking map was naturally full of rooms in all variants, likewise was mostly all the drinks space-based. The venue inside is quite small but there is the 30 – 40 tables. And with the temperature here in Miami is not the problem. We arrived at 10:30 pm and it was still 80 ° F. Wait staff was friendly, helpful and not the least knowledgeable of both the menu and drink map. The food tasted great and thanks for the recommendation.

First time trying Cuban food and boy was it a great experience. This location has a small indoor seating area but a much larger outdoor seating area which is where we sat. They were very accommodating with our larger group(22 people) and were more than polite. Since it was my first time I figured a sandwich would be a safer bet than getting a dinner or some sort. I ordered the Croqueta Preparada(I believe that’s how it’s spelled) and my girlfriend ordered 1957 Havana sandwich. We split the sandwiches in order to try both and the portion was so large that I couldn’t finish the entire sandwich. Both sandwiches were delicious, I did prefer the first one if I had to choose which including ham, pork, cheese and their specialty croquets. The Havana included their specialty chicken breasts which was cooked to perfection. If you have never tried Cuban before these two sandwiches are both a great way to start your experience. For sure a delicacy in South Beach.

This is an amazing place to grab some Cuban food & coffee. I can’t recall the name of the entrée but it was super delicious. The chicken was moist served with rice, beans, and plaintains. The wait staff is super attentive attending to your every need. I will really recommend this place for a family member or friend.

i wish i had tried the other location and not this one, which i already know is a tourist trap. BUT, the food is good. service is mediocre to good at best, but i know what to expect when i come here. i ordered the skirt steak done medium. came with a side of rice and beans. nothing fancy, but exactly what i was looking for. i recommend checking out the other location as this one doesn’t have much of an «atmosphere». you’re pretty much people watching badly dressed tourists walking around. actually, they might be locals. anyway, BADCLOTHES!

The chicken was realy flavorful(loved the gravy and skin) the rest was medicore. Also tired the cuban chicken sandwich, cant remember the exact name but it was delilicous. All to all a very satisfying meal.

Good service. Food was alright. We ordered a lighter fare option that includes two sides with our chicken. It was delicious but I wanted more salad and less black beans! My father ordered the black bean soup but if your entrée comes with black beans than it is basically the same thing. Get the chicken soup instead. Everything was seasoned well but I definitely needed more vegetables and less beans! But this is a Cuban place so a lot of beans! Prices are fine!

We wanted Cuban food really badly, and didn’t fall for all of the tourist traps on Lincoln with giant menus with stock images and pretty Latino girls trying to get you to read a menu. Then we looked on Unilocal and found this place right in the middle of Lincoln. It was delicious! They start you off with plantain chips, which were pretty good, and then your massive meal comes out — if you order the Havana special — which is the only thing you should think about ordering because it’s amazing and you need to try it. This was some of the best chicken I’ve ever had. Incredibly tender and cooked perfectly, and marinaded in some delicious house sauce. We really enjoyed this place and highly recommend it.

While in town for work, our team got done early one day and about 5 of us decided to head down to the Lincoln street part of town so we could see more of Miami apart from the airport, hotel and work. We decided to eat here as the Unilocal reviews for this place were pretty decent and plus because while in town, we really wanted to eat Cuban food. Our server was very nice and helped us with drinks and food options. While waiting for our order we could nibble on a huge bucket of banana chips. For starters the table shared the Cuban Combo(Ham croquettes, pork chunks, plantain chips, fried yuca, potato balls stuffed with beef and tamale seasoned with pork — $ 21.95). This was really good especially the fried yuca which one of my work colleagues said reminded her of corn poke. The plantain chips were also perfectly crisp and didn’t have a stale oil smell to them. Then the main I and two other colleagues orders was what the server said was the most popular item on the menu — the Havana speciality which is half of a chicken slow roasted for 36 hours and then grilled along with fried plantains x 3 and rice/beans plus salad. Loved it all — chicken was super tender and the plantains were fantastic! So I think if I was massively hungry, I’d have been able to do the food justice but honestly the entrée was so filling that I basically took ¾th of the food back to the hotel. Special shout out to the best mojitos! Three of our party got ‘em and all were very different and fantastic — you really can’t go wrong and if you don’t drink, they will make a non-alcoholic one for you! This place was fantastic. At first we were a bit apprehensive, fearing this might be a bit of a tourist trap on the busy Lincoln street. But the food was just excellent and the ambiance was very nice. It was also very reasonably priced. They could have easily scored 5 stars from me, if it weren’t for the overpriced alcohol. Here are the details. Plantain Chips — — — — — — Price: Complimentary Rating — 5⁄5 Very delicious and plain addictive. Lechon Asado — — — — — — Price: $ 15.50 Rating — 5⁄5 What a fantastic dish of slow-roasted pork. It was super tender, delicious and plentiful. The accompanying moro rice was outstanding! The accompanying yucca was disappointing — although it was nice and moist, it was lacking seasoning. My only other minor complaint about this dish was that the sauteed onions on top of the meat was cooked with garlic which gave an unpleasant burnt garlic flavor. The chimichurri dressing on the side was excellent, not too garlicky and very tasty. Palomilla a la Plancha — — — — — — — — — - Price: 15.50 Rating — 5⁄5 Very delicious Cuban steak cut — flavorful and juicy. The portion is satisfying. As for the sides, see comments for above dish. Mojito Clasico — — — — — – Price: $ 12.95 It wasn’t a bad mojito, but way overpriced. Ultimate Mojito — — — — — — - Price: $ 14.95 I wasn’t a fan of the Ultimate Mojito. Whatever rum they used had a medicine-like aftertaste. Sure, it’s nice that they make it fresh with plenty of mint and a nice sugar cane, but the price is simply way too high. The ambiance was very nice. They had all kinds of photos and memorabilia from Cuba. The waitresses all wore elegant traditional white dresses. The service was very friendly.

Havana may be the closest we’ll get to Cuba for now. Sure, the entire Miami Beach island is essentially Little Cuba, but this cute restaurant definitely convinces me they’re trying to really bring Cuban hospitality to life. Thanks to the monsoon rains, there was so wait to sit outside and enjoy the mild humidity and drizzle with some Cuban bites and drinks. As our third meal of the evening, my friends and I wanted some good appetizers and stiff drinks. Feeling like you’re on a true vacay? Definitely order a mojito or Pina Colada tonight. Before we even ordered our food, we annihilated the complimentary plantain chips on your table. Trust me, these were fantastic in itself. After a while though, you’d feel bad for not ordering something to eat. So we opted for the Cuban Appetizer for two(three in our case), grilled pork, and four stuffed plantains with various types of meat. The Cuban Appetizer was the standout. The yuca was fried perfectly, and the tamale it came with was one of the best I’ve ever had. With the four stuffed plantains, the meat inside was definitely tastier and better than the hard crust. Be sure to snag the good stuff inside if you find the shell too hard to munch on. The grilled pork cubes though, damn these were amazing. Although a little tough, they certainly made me a happy camper. When in Miami Beach, Havana 1957 is definitely a strong shooter for your list of must-eats.

Had to have Cuban food while I was in Miami! Happened to be wandering around Lincoln Rd and this was nearby so grabbed a late lunch before heading to the airport. Plantain chips were a nice start to the meal. Had the tostones rellenos havana 1957 which were 4 cups filled with different meats including shrimp, ropa vieja, chicken, and ground beef. These were SOGOOD. Mmm my favorite was definitely the ropa vieja and made me regret not getting that as my entrée. The plantain cups themselves were delicious too. I had a Cuban sandwich for my entrée which came on a bed of potato sticks. It didn’t look like much but it was a pretty big sandwich and I could only eat half. The bread was very crispy and soft but the sandwich overall was just okay. I feel like the cheese both overpowered and dulled the flavors so all I remember tasting is cheese. Could have used a bit more mustard. Still happy I got to try it though. My friend had some type of meat dish but I don’t remember what it was called. It was seasoned really well though. Cute interior and nice outdoor seating. The humidity indoors is pretty bad though because they don’t have air conditioning, only fans running. The bathroom is also absurdly tiny. Waiters are nice and relatively attentive but there weren’t many customers at the time. Feels like a more touristy Cuban spot and if I’m ever back in the area(probably never) I’ll have to find the hole in the wall Cuban places to go to.

My traveling Partner found this place via Pinterest and Instagram. These sites make Florida out to be the best Cuban food of all time, and the pictures of the food were phenomenal. However, I must say I thought quite the opposite. I actually thought this place was thee worst of all time in Miami. Pros: 1. Décor 2. Bar Cons: 1. Worst Customer service 2. Salty Food 3. Cold Food 4. Old Food 5. Café con leche was not my favorite 6. Overpriced for what it is 7. Not a good location in my opinion, it was in the industrial area of Miami 8. Parking is $ 10 or more depending on where you park \ 9. Customer Service S-U-C-K-S, Impossible to speak to the waitress in English, lots of eye rolling, Cuban attitude, and lip smacking. 10. No Substitutions whatsoever, not even if you offer to pay extra 11. The Cuban Sandwich comes with«fries», They are more like fried potato bits. I think they are just for décor, but in the menu it makes it seem like you are getting an order of French Fries.

Echter Tipp!
