Really good food! I was cautious, but it was only place near homewood suites open after 10:30 pm(except pizza…) . Quick delivery, very tasty orange flavored chicken and Kung pao– recommended, see photo. Hot and sour soup is not the best I eat — IMHO black pepper should not be there, hot taste coming from chili . Overall: good, would order there again.

You get what you pay for nothing there’s nothing exceptional or disappointing about this place, but it’s mainly a take out establishment.

The sweet and sour chicken is like a chicken corn dog with too much breading. The short ribs a pork fried rice are decent. I’ll maybe try this place one more time. 2.5 stars. Ok so don’t get the sweet and sour chicken!!!

Really more than a 2.5. Friendly owner, convenient location and OK prices. Food is not the greatest quality, but they deliver. Appetizers — the junky stuff like chicken fingers — are generally fine, though I recently had some teriyaki beef that was(literally) sickening. The staples — like General Gau’s chicken — are just OK, though some entrees, like Kung Pao chicken and sesame chicken, are a little better. They have a couple of dishes that feature scallops — certainly bay scallops — which are good, though bay scallops in general are a flavorless bummer. In general, I’d stay away from the beef. Excellent lo mein, FWIW(especially House Special Lo Mein). Chow mein is grim. Good fried rice, but you can get that anywhere. Fried Peking ravioli generally good, but on one occasion came charred. Again, convenience(on my part of West Methuen) is Chef Co’s only value proposition. The prices should be slightly cheaper. Stlll, I’m a semi regular. If there were a better Chinese delivery place in West Methuen, it would steal my business, which I hate to say because the owner is very nice.

Ordered from there twice a month for over 6 years. When there was an issue with the last(I say last as I have stopped ordering) order, the owner was extremely rude to my wife. The food was always good, but there is no place for rudeness. The customer may not always be right, but they are always the customer.

Convenient location, friendly staff, and quick service, but the compliments stop there. This place offers classic suburban American Chinese junk food. Maybe it’s my own fault for getting the chicken finger /spare rib /fried rice combo. Coming in at just under $ 10, my meal was bland and greasy, but I admit that I knew what I was in for: 2 cups of brown pork fried rice with not a lot of meat or veggies to speak of, spare ribs that glowed with that reddish/pink color that makes you wonder if it’s really food, and chicken fingers that are wrapped in so much dough you have to take 2 bites to find the chicken. I want to give this place three stars for prompt and polite service but in truth I doubt I’ll ever eat here again.

Located in a separate small strip plaza at the east end of the Merrimac Plaza(Market Basket/AJ Wright). I stopped at Chef Co for dinner takeout very recently on a typical and fairly busy weeknight. This small takeout/delivery restaurant has a good sized menu serving up Mandarin, Szechuan, Chinese, & Polynesian cuisines. They offer over 50 lunch and dinner combination plates($ 5.15-$ 8.50) plus vegetarian and dieter’s dishes. It’s order at the counter with open kitchen and a few tables. I ordered Combo 32 Shrimp Lo Mein with J Option(Beef Teriyaki & Egg Roll). The service was hectic between the staff and the food was ready in about 10 minutes. The generous portion of hot food was very good, on the greasy side though. The lo mein had very firm noodles with carrots, sprouts, onion, and soft/tender shrimp, almost like eating a stir fry dish since there was some broth at the bottom of the container. The 2 beef teriyaki sticks were very tender and sweet tasting. The greasy wide egg roll was stuffed with a good mix of chopped cabbage and pork. I couldn’t finish the food in one sitting and enjoyed the rest for lunch the next day.
