Last night, my husband & I went to eat at Outback Steakhouse. It had been many years since we ate there, and I remember, now, why the long interim. We’ve been eating regularly at Texas Roadhouse, so I was expecting food even better than TR. Number 1, all the prices at Outback are significantly higher. We got the Blooming Onion(which is also served at TR) & the onion we got was much smaller than the ones we’re accustomed to as well as being about $ 2 higher. And the Outback onion was sitting in a pool of grease. The top pieces were good, but the bottom pieces were inedible. I ordered a filet & lobster tail because I’ve been seeing all the commercials on TV& started craving lobster. Anyway, it was by far the smallest lobster I’ve ever seen! Plus it was so rubbery, I could barely cut it & sure couldn’t chew it. My husband ordered the pork porterhouse, which was very big. He said it tasted okay, but was tough & not nearly as good as pork chops from TR. the filet was also okay, but not as well seasoned & tasty as the filet I get at TR. of course the entrée prices were also $ 5-$ 10 higher than we pay at Roadhouse. I could go on about the little salads we got with a ½ teaspoon of dressing, but you get the idea. I’ll stick with Roadhouse in the future.

Went to this outback location Saturday night. Had to wait a little over a hour to be seated. Had to wait 20 minutes before our waiter asked for our drink orders. When he finally asked we were ready to place our dinner orders. I ordered a onion blossum for a appetizer and a 10 oz rib eye medium rare. Never received my onion blossum. Didn’t have refill until 30 minutes later when our dinner came out. I had a party of 10 people total with me. We all were dissatisfied with our meals. Over cooked steak, pasta was dry and look/tasted like it had been sitting for 2) minutes. We ate what we received because we had been waiting so long. Needless to say we got the heck out of there and never going back.

Portions are really small. Ordered regular sized cheese fries and received a small portion for a party of 4. I remember coming in 2005 and not being able to finish the cheese fries before our food came out. It also took us about 10 minutes to have silverware and drinks. Really upset about the service and staff. This used to be a great place to have a family dinner.

Always use curb side service. I keep forgetting to check the bag. Items missing, more than once. Contacted same manger twice by phone as he promised to resolve the issue but nothing was done… yet. Will update the outcome. Check your food! I was extremely surprised that the Regional Director call me himself. I’m so glad I had the chance to voice my issues. My intentions are good. I appreciate the issue was resolved with this phone call. Looking forward to my next visit.

where to begin! we sat down at a booth, horrible lighting first of all, you cant even look at the waiter cos you’re blinded by the lamps and Its too dark to unscrew the bulb. our waiter came over noticeably stressed, and proceeds to tell us they are running out of steaks. OK??? We go ahead and order two glasses of wine and a rum punch drink. it takes 15mins, no lie, to get the wine, but only in carafes. We have to ask for the wine glasses.(waiter say, oh they didnt bring your drinks” They who BRUH, youre the waiter! Then a few minutes later we get the rum punch cos they had to grab the cranberry juice from the back… or across town who knows… He ends up bringing the wrong wine(big surprise) but we just take it anyhow. We also ordered the blooming onion, well done. The waiter keeps coming back and telling us that he keeps sending it back cos its too light… At this point we will take what we can get, and we are wondering if we are on one of those«how much can you take» hidden camera shows… So the onion finally comes and not even 5 mins later one of us gets our meal like its another appetizer… french onion soup and a wedge salad. He even made a statement questioning it being someones meal… ummmmm… OK. She had ordered the side wedge with pecans or whatever… no pecans. just a regular wedge… she had even repeated herself to make sure she got the right order into him, considering the waiter had already shown to be a little on the preoccupied, or newbie side… So then one of the steakhouse salads comes out. no onion dressing on the side… we had ordered two. the other was regular, just dressing on the side also. Waiter wasnt sure if it had no onions so we had to pick thru to make sure… good to go, no onions. BUT wheres the other salad? Waiter comes back with something about it being a problem, i cant even remember… we ask for the manager… young guy wearing a sloppy apron comes over says«how can i help you»? didn’t introduce himself, noting, very weird. I literally looked at him as said«youre the manager» he did force a new salad on one of my friends, which he made wrong again… and then gave us two more glasses of wine which we didnt really need or want… while we were finishing our meal the other servers were talking about the place, «ive been in the business 20 years and never dealt with this». Then all of a sudden we hear plates falling and breaking in the kitchen, then laughs in a way that it seemed like someone was deliberately breaking the plates. CRAZYLOUD. the entire section we were in went silent… in the end he comped the entire meal. only cos we made him. Never again. I will say, we did feel kinda bad for the waiter and we did laugh about it, we have never had an experience like that… in my opinion, the manager needs to go. He sets the tone for his employees and it was not good.

Every time I go here I tend to forget my previous experiences, but as soon as our food arrives I remember… There is always a problem with my order, either it’s horribly dry or the waiter forgot something. I’m rating 3 stars for the manager! And that is all He’s amazing

This location obviously has service issues. When half the tables are empty but you’re expected to wait ½ an hour, there is definitely a problem!

The service here is nonexistent. The waitress took so long on the drinks and they were never refilled. I ordered the Grilled chicken with Veggies. The chicken was completely dry. The veggies so over cooked. My husband had the Steak Tacos. They came as if they had been sitting there since this morning. Meat was so dry and hard. His fries were so soggy the oil was everywhere on his plate. No ketchup, no sugar for iced tea or anything else was even offered. We even had to ask for silverware! The prices are ridiculous. We asked for management and he was worse than the waitress. Don’t throw away your family or friends’ time here. This place will ruin your appetite.

Not bad for a big box steak house i suppose, i had their new chopped steak, it was decent but my husband makes the best chopped steak hands down, i haven’t been here in years and was let down when i didn’t see the Shrimp on the Barbie appetizer :’(

I made a take-away order for a steakhouse salad with ahi tuna instead of steak(yes I know there is an ahi tuna salad). Well when I got home they had given me the sesame tuna salad anyways. Went right back up there expecting to have to argue just to get the right salad. I was shocked. Manager not only got me the right salad, she gave me a full refund and gave me a free slice of cake. That’s true service and great management willing to go above and beyond to keep someone as a customer and I will be back in the future. The salad itself was delicious. I’m not a fan of blue cheese but for some reason I am addicted to the blue cheese vinaigrette on this salad. The ahi tuna was perfect. Nice and chilled and hit the spot, great on day when it’s 105° out.

Saturday night went out with a couple of friends late night dinner. Around 10/10:15 a group of employees were at the door as soon as we walked in they look awfully disturb with our business since it was close to closing time so finally as they argued on who was gonna help us finally we got pretty nice young lady that was super slow… and very confused on what they had on beers, which we let her make since it was late at night after about 45 mins waiting for food the steak was pretty decently good but most definitely didn’t enjoy due to the A/C in the room being cutoff at 11pm after sweating over the food we had asked the waitress to turn it on while we eat she said«she will what she can do» and never came back until she brought out bill So at this point we were all pretty pissed off and drenched in sweat oh well i guess don’t go in there 1hr before the close especially after 100Degree+ day

The wait time was outrageous. We waited nearly 2 hours just to get a booth. I got the lamb chop, wings, the Onion Blossom, and the milkshake. The lamb chop tasted bland :’(and the Onion Blosson were bland and soggy. The only thing that was good were the wings, which were crispy and salted properly.

I love Outback for the blooming onion… and everything else is do-able. Anytime my family comes to town… they want Outback. So this is where they wanted to go for their Mother’s Day lunch. I arrived before them about 12pm, glad I did because there was a 30 – 45 minute wait and they were about 15 – 20 minutes away. Thank God it wasn’t too hot outside while we waited on porch area. The wait time went by pretty quickly and we were seated right away. Once seated, our waitress came over and took our drink and appetizer order while we continued to browse the menu. My family ALWAYS wants the bone-in ribeye… smh! I roll with the lobster tails and my little fella wants mac-n-cheese(after he eats about 2 loaves of the bread) LOL Considering this was a busy weekend, the staff was very attentive, the food was delicious as usual and served in a timely manner… piping hot. We will definitely be back… trust me! LOL

Stopped in for a late lunch, typical outback experience. The staff was helpful and attentive, the food was Outback solid. I love this chain because their quality is very consistent from location to location.

What a Joke! The takeaway order was a total mess. They gave us what looked like half an order of flatbread appetizer. We paid an extra buck for the grilled asparagus and it was limp and wilted and gross. Asked for silverware and got one package, and they forgot the honey mustard for the chicken strips. Drive a bit further and spend money at the vantage point store– they have done a much better job for us in the past!

Excellent steak done to perfection. Our server was polite and efficient. We particularly like the salted baked potato skins! Lots of butter and eat them too!

This place is good food wise. But service is hit or miss. I really wish we had a consistent good time here. This place needs to step it up in management and staffing dept. The only one seems to be doing there job is the kitchen. Will be back for the food mainly.

Prime rib is always excellent. There is a hint of wine on the au jus which makes it real good. I can’t drink so this rating is for food and service.

Seriously??? It was storming and everyone in Mesquite wanted steak, so of course we all end up at the Outback Steakhouse, and they could NOT handle the crowd’s demand. Not only did it take forever to be seated, our server did not show up right away, and forgot our drink order several times, and when we did finally get our drinks and bread, he was off again handing silverware to another table or refreshing the drinks of other patrons. The manager had said desert was on the house for mine and the other 2 birthdays at the table. We all ate, and ordered desert, but all were too tired to eat it after spending over 45 minutes waiting for food and another 20 or so waiting on desert. I used a gift card and a credit card to pay with, and when I got home I realized I had been over-charged on my credit card, but I didn’t have proof because the receipt that would have proven it was kept by the restaurant because the deserts were comped, and my husband refused to go back in the storm to straighten it out, so we really paid for desert that we didn’t enjoy, and probably/most likely would not have ordered if they weren’t offered to us as a «gift» by the manager. We were all tired of being there. It was loud, the food was not up to par, and the weather had me feeling sick. All-in-all it was the worse experience I have ever had at an Outback, and this Outback usually is on top of our list to go for date night. Sorry guys, but you’ve done better…
