The reviews on Unilocal were SO bad I just had to come here and see for myself! I was greeted by a server who opened the door for me who then spat on the sidewalk. Lovely. However, bar service was attentive, possibly because I was the only person sat at the bar. Maybe only a dozen customers at most. Country music, cold beer, two stars… spitting when I walk in, minus three!

I’m staying at the hotel across the street. I went to Logan’s my first night here, and have adamantly advised my traveling team not to waste their time there. I sat at the bar, and ordered a chicken fiesta salad. After 10 minutes my salad arrived… though it had no chicken or «fiesta»…just a small garden salad. When I complained, I was told that it should have gone to another customer. It took 15 minutes more to get my salad. It tasted pretty good(which accounts for the 2 stars), but I was also treated to a drama. Two sets of customers stood at the hostess podium waiting to be greeted/seated for quite a while before just walking out. When management was told of this, he was clearly agitated that this critical station was abandoned. To the managers credit, he did come around to several tables, asking customers how they were doing. The staff needs to be reminded that restaurants(and most other businesses) survive on good customer service.

First of all we were surprised that they only had 2 stars. Secondly I should have heeded the review and gone somewhere else. But they were only across the street from our hotel. Sorry Unilocal. Walked in at prime time and wondered where the customers were. They must have heeded the Unilocal reviews. Ordered the chicken fried steak and 10 minutes later was told that they couldn’t make it. But it was on the menu. Went to plan B and ordered the BBQ. Wife got the loaded potato soup. Both were fairly decent earning the one star. BUT. She ordered a sprite which tasted like it came from a container that was opened a year ago. Told the server and she brought another. Same stale taste. Tried water and again the rainwater barrel taste. I thought it was her so I tried it with the same result. We ate what we ordered without drinks and left wondering if what we drank would catch up with us later. Moral of the story, «Heed the Unilocal reviews.»

The first thing I noticed when my wife and I entered this Logan’s Roadhouse location was the three employees at the front hanging out and having a great time. I could tell right away that we were an inconvenience to their having such a great time. When we entered there were only about five tables with customers. When my wife volunteered that we needed a table for two we were taken to the left side near the bar and nothing was cleared from the tables. I told the greeter that the bar was alright with us also. For some reason that was funny because the tables are«high». It looked as if a tornado had passed through. The dirty table we were offered was missing two chairs, the ones it had were facing in the same direction. We were also an inconvenience to our waitress. She looked like she did not want to be there and her attitude showed it. We ordered drinks and did get them while still discussing the menu. After that our waitress made herself scarce for the rest of the evening. We waited and waited and waited while she and others huddled around in the back of the restaurant in a group laughing and having a mini party. She did return and our orders were placed. After another long wait my wife had to ask for rolls. I have been a Logan’s Roadhouse customer since about 2002, especially the one in Alexandria, Louisiana and I know how well a Logan’s Roadhouse can be ran. I have also eaten at Logan’s Roadhouse while traveling and I have never had a problem. So, the rolls we received were hot. They were also not buttered on the top and should have been. There was also no butter offered with them and there should have been. This happened twice. I asked for butter the second time and after another long wait I got some butter. When receiving our order the entrees were better than room temperature. They must have sat in the kitchen for a long time. Probably while we were waiting for them at our table a long time. Nothing like tepid food to go with the tepid service. I ordered crumbled bleu cheese for my steak and did not receive it. When the waitress waitress passed by not looking at us I got her attention and asked her to take the bleu cheese off of my order. She then had the nerve to ask, «you want me to get you some?» I declined her offer. I was looking around for a manager and after about 20 minutes I saw one. He looked as if he did not want to be there either. He had a very disgusted look on his face too. He did have time to hang out with the party at the front door. He did not however, have time to greet or check on his customers. No one had the appearance of wanting to be there. This must be a horrible place to work. The only employee that had a smile or tried to be friendly was shooed away from our table by our waitress as if she was poaching customers. By the time we were finished eating at this rudderless, leaderless Logan’s Roadhouse even we were not in good moods when leaving. Notice it’s been three days and I still cannot get over this place. This Logan’s Roadhouse location needs some corporate attention and customer service training to say the least. I will probably not be returning any time soon. Our waitress did develop a slight personality when she dropped off our bill, it was tip time you know. She said that she«left us a little note» on our bill. I did tip but, only because she did provide some service. I normally tip 25% but she got 10% for her stellar efforts. My wife did not want to tip anything. She should have tipped us for being her customers.

Stopped in for a nice dinner after long day of traveling. Poor service and quality of food. I ordered the 6oz filet and lobster tail. Dishes were dirty and took awhile to get drinks. The Lobster smelled fishy… It was very chewy and the rice it was served on was cold so I couldn’t finish it. The steak was sent back since it was on the rare side. Sent it back to the kitchen and it came back after everyone’s meal was finished. Steak had a nice flavor. Sides were just ok but when you’re paying $ 24.99 everything should be very good. The fried pickles were good as an appetizer and the tea was sweet. That’s about all the good things I can say. We Won’t make the mistake again and stop there in the future. Needs a lot of work.

We were staying at the Drury Inn next door to this restaurant. This particular chain isn’t close to home, so we figured we’d give it a try. Normally, we would have just done the free dinner at the hotel, but it was still an hour away since we were in the Central Time Zone instead of Eastern here at home. Overall, the look and feel resembles that of Lone Star Steakhouse we have here at home. We came in around 4 pm and there was already a bit of a crowd here. The inside is similar to other steakhouses I’ve been to. We were seated right away when we came in. However, it did take a while for the server to come to the table(about 5 minutes after being seated). Once the server came to the table, she came over with peanuts and then asked for our drink orders. What surprised me at first was that you can just throw the peanut shells on the floor instead of in a bucket(here in Virginia Beach, it is against health code to do so). On this particular night(it was Friday, August 7, 2015), they did seem to be a bit understaffed for the crowd that was already there. Once ready to order, it took a little bit for the server to come back to us. At the same time, she brought out fresh rolls to the table. She explained that she had to wait for them to come up. I think the under staffing didn’t help any with this. Once she came back though, she was on the ball. I had ordered the Smoky Mountain Chicken Sandwich with fries. I was surprised at how quickly the order came out. Overall, the sandwich was good and liked the smoky flavor to it. The portion of the fries though seemed small and some were cooked way too much. I didn’t really say anything then since I could snack on stuff at the hotel when getting back over there. After the meal was finished and the plates already removed, a manager walked by to ask how everything was. I just said everything was okay and left it at that. Since I was sitting near the front of the restaurant, I was able to see a lot of what was going on that evening. I wanted to note some of the observations I saw during this visit. There was an empty table behind us at the time. When I looked back, it looked like some of the staff just sitting and chatting with each other at that table. I’m guessing they were bussers. There was also another gathering of the staff, including management from what I can see, just chatting away at the check in area to the restaurant as well. Although it may not have been much of a concern, it gives the perception that they don’t care or don’t want to be there. Perception is reality to us as a customer when coming in. Given the overall experience, I would give the place an overall three stars. Everything was good and there wasn’t anything with a wow type factor for me to rate it above a three.

Was here on 8÷10÷15. Service by our waitress was the worst of any restaurant I have ever been in. She looked annoyed just taking our order. I had iced tea but you could call it ice with a little tea. Took just 4 sips through a straw and was needing more. Finally just emptied the glass of all the ice into my salad plate and when she saw this looked even more annoyed. The food came out and looked presentable but my ribs were very dry. I still left a tip, but only 10 percent. That was probably too much.

I love Logan’s Roadhouse and am a loyal guest at their restaurants. So, when we stopped in to grab a bite to eat, I was quite excited. From the start the experience was horrible! The server was clearly ready to go and made no effort in hiding the fact she wasn’t happy about being sat a table. .. She took our drink order, forgetting one the drinks. She took the app order and asked if we would like rolls. After several minutes, she arrived with the rolls and took the entrée order, a sirloin; medium rare, a salad, and macaroni and cheese. The salad came out before our app of fried pickles; which arrived a few minutes later. The app was about half the size of what it should have been. Our food took far too long for a medium rare steak. The server never stopped by the table to refill drinks and even neglected her other tables(which were very very few; the restaurant was dead). When the food finally came out, the steak was over done and an extremely poor cut that should have never been served. The server dropped by once to check on us, never even looking us in the eye, then proceeded to disappear. The table was never cleared from the appetizer and the server had someone else drop off the check. This location is in severe need of new management and servers, since there was a serious lack of interest/purpose/urgency/caring at all. Managers were hanging around eating, bussers were sitting in booths, and servers were clearly ignoring their guests. Needless to say, we will not be back again.

This has got to be the slowest service ever experienced. All other surrounding restaurants were busy and had long waits. This one had plenty of available parking spots and seats. Can see why now. Once we got our food(about 45 minutes later) the steak was cold and over cooked and the side items were steaming hot as if cooked in microwave. Though I’m just visiting, if ever back in the area, I’ll be avoiding this place.

I have read all the negative comments about this Logan’s. It almost scared me away! I am very glad it didn’t. The service was good but the food was better! At this point I am thinking the complaints were perhaps an attempt at free food ORMANAGEMENT has changed. The food and service here is as good or better than most Logan’s. I travel 150 days a year on business and I eat at Logan’s when ever possible. Well done to this Logan’s!!!

Strengths: Great location of the interstate. Opportunities: Slow service. Food was cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen. That took awhile. Summary: Unless you are a fire hard Logan’s fan, there are other options at this exit.

Had a little trouble finding the place. Android Navigation took us near the Hwy Patrol station… Seven miles away, we found the real deal. Brittany got us in, got us fed and got us out in a timely manner. The meal was good. We will go back and ask for Brittany again!

So many bad things about this place in the short amount of time that I spent there. I was on a road trip and stopped in Mississippi. The hotel that I stopped in had a few restaurants close by, so I walked across the parking lot to Logan’s. I was starving, so I asked for the salmon to go. The people who took my order said that they had a special salmon for a good price, so I said cool, that will work. So I sat and waited. and waited… and waited forever. After about 40 minutes, I got my to go box. I opened the box and the smallest piece of salmon that I ever saw was in there, broken in half. I showed it to the wait staff and said«Is this how this is supposed to look?» They gathered around and looked at it and didn’t say anything. I then asked for the manager and asked him. He hesitated and then said the special is a 4oz piece of fish, and that’s how it’s supposed to look. First of all, I wasn’t told that the special was only 1 bite of food, plus that didn’t explain the fish looking like it had been chewed up. Just to put the icing on the cake, when I got back to the hotel, they left some plastic-ware and napkins out of the bag, just for a little extra inconvenience. If the manager can look at that food, and look me in the eye and say it’s fine… the rest of the place doesn’t have any hope at all. If I stop at that hotel again, I will be going to another spot to grab dinner.

Walked in at 5pm to arrange a booth for three. We were told by three different hostesses at three different times that there were only two servers working and it would«be a while». We left and went next door to Applebee’s where they had no less than 6 servers working.

Was told it would be a 20 minute wait because the ‘kitchen is backed up’. Waited 25 minutes to be seated in the half empty restaurant after asking if we could be sat and given drinks even if we need to wait 20 minutes to order food. Server was friendly when we got one. I wouldn’t have waited if I hadn’t been there with a group.

This was our third time eating here over a two year period. The first two time were horrible. The service has always been pretty good and was excellent on our third try. The food has been the problem. My steaks were awful the first two times. This time it was just below average. We love Logan’s, but this location has struck out.
