Great food and friendly fast service! We were in and out in 20 minutes and the staff was really nice.

I ordered a chicken on a stick first of all they have decreased the size of the chicken and increased the price. To top it all off the chicken was not done I ended up throwing it in the trash and wasted 6.00.

We were staying at the Drury Inn, so Penn’s was recommended as a place to hit up should we want some quick fried food and seafood.
The place is a bit of a dirty spoon operation, but the food is pretty good and you get large portions to boot.
We actually ended up going twice since we liked the shrimp Po Boys so much. The shrimp tasted fresh and the batter is really light, so it doesn’t fit too heavy on your stomach. I was also able to substitute my fries for Hush Puppies! Can’t beat that.
If you are craving some fried seafood, Penn’s is a good place to stop at.

Your dining experience begins with the person behind the register. And when you’re not even greeted, much less spoken to, you’re not off to a good start. Add to that a pretty dirty dining room and then have 3 TV monitors with Fox News, and it all adds up to a negative dining experience.
Too bad, because the food was pretty good. Not great, the catfish was a bit undercooked.
But seriously, Fox News? I just love eating my food with Bill O’Reilly bloviating into my ears.

I am from California, and there is definitely nothing like this there. I loOove catfish and the catfish here is really good. I guess this place can be likened to Long John Silver but like a million times better. The portions are huge, the seafood is great, and there is so much to choose from. I wish they had places like this in California.
