Best sandwiches in town! The Hugo’s Special is a magnificent marvel of meaty goodness – and oh man, the sauerkraut they put on their Reuben? Woo!
I’ve had several different sandwiches (The Louie is great!) and they’ve never let me down. Fresh bread, quality meats and cheeses, delicious house-​made sauces, and crisp veggies all add up to a tasty place for lunch!

Fast, fresh, and delicious! I wandered in here to grab a quick sandwich, and was very pleased to find this gem. I really prefer to stay away from the chains, and my visit here today reminded me why. I had the Reuben, small macaroni salad, and a Coke. Everything was great, and the staff was pleasant. I am looking forward to returning to explore the menu further. I would highly recommend giving this place a try.

Hugo’s Deli is a best kept secret. Fresh bread and a monumentally huge menu. With all the different combinations of sizes, breads and meats offered. Also fried chicken and other deli delights. Hugo’s is clean and well appointed with excellent service. I had the hot pastrami/​coleslaw/​provolone super size grinder. The pastrami was very lean and flavorful. The coleslaw was just right to be on a sandwich… not too sweet, not too tart. This grinder was huge. I also ordered the custom battered steak fries which were delicious. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food you are given. I’m a huge fan of another deli in town north of Hawks Stadium. But that’s a drive for me and not convenient at all. The Fairview location is centrally located for those of us who live on the west and southwest side. I’m looking forward to returning to Hugo’s Deli and trying some of the other sandwich selections.

We shared the Pilgrim sandwich — turkey, cranberries sauce, cream cheese on marble rye (one of many bread choices), and a small cole slaw. Food tasted great. Place was very clean. Service was fast and friendly. We couldn’t ask for better. We’ll be back.

So this was my 2^nd time here first time checking in and I must say the sandwich was fresh and tasty. Last time I had the sweet potato fries and they rocked

Ive lived in Boise my whole life and I cant believe I’ve never been here. I got the turkey bacon avacado. Superior taste everything was fresh and made to order. The staff was extremely friendly. You can tell that they enjoy their job. They have lots of goodies for sale from local compainies. I especially liked that this place is a legitimate deli; meats, cheeses, breads, sides. The inside is older but gives you the small town ma and pop feel which I love. Highly recommend for lunch or just whenever. Also, if you need some awesome sandwich meat.

Wow. This was my first time trying Hugo’s and I can definitely say I was not disappointed. I had the Italian and an order of their Deli fries, which are huge! Both were delicious. This is a great spot for lunch and I will definitely be coming back in the near future!

It doesn’t gey any better for a great sandwich. Fries and home-​made goodness. Don’t spend your money anywhere else. SERIOUSLY GOOD!

Although they are known for their sandwiches– I wasn’t a fan. HOWEVER best fried chicken and potato wedges I have ever had in my life!!! They’re sauces are very yummy too.

Sandwiches designed with the dagwood lover in mind. They have a large variety of types for every taste. The bread is more «substantial» which I prefer over a Subway type of bread that’s more wispy. Bread is better when you need to tear at it a bit. The meat is always ample and the sauces and veggie choices are good too. The Louie is my favorite. Staff is always pleasant and helpful. Price is a little much at $ 9 for a super-​bird but then again that’s a bigger hoagie.

Went to Hugo’s for the first time today on a recommendation. The recommender said their fries were amazing. To me, they were just good, sort of like potato wedges without being in a wedge shape. My husband described them as creamy, and he loved them. I ordered the Hugo Special on marbled rye and it was very good with a generous portion of meat. We ordered water, but changed it to soda when they told us that water would be the same price as soda. That was strange, but the service was otherwise very good.

Nice selection of fillings. Nothing special, however, about the bread.

Best deli in meridian! Lots of high quality, well done classics. Healthy portions, and some unique choices that actually taste amazing, and not just ok. Best deli fries in boise/​meridian matched by the best fry sauce as well. Friendly, fast, efficient staff. Very clean, no gimmicks, High five!

Great place,! Best deli in meridian. They made me a custom made 6′ sandwich for a Super Bowl party. It was awesome and everyone at the party loved it. They have great fried chicken too. Te deli fries are awesome.

I like these sandwiches! And the fries are awesome! For the carb conscious you can also get fried chicken (remove the skin to reduce the breading which is minimal) and I have been able to ask for a simple salad as well although I don’t believe it is on their menu.
Decent selection of bread and fantastic tasting meats. Generous portions not like those regular «fast food chain» sandwich shops.
When I have a craving for great unique french fries this is where I come. Lightly breaded and fried until perfectly tender. So much flavor you don’t need any sauces, however they have several varieties should you choose.
