This place was great. Good food, great specials, cheap prices, and fast service. We will be back for lunch very soon. :)

I’m not sure why all the bad reviews. This place was top notch. Just a good old fashion family restaurant. Five stars on the food five stars on the servicefive stars for the management. You’re crazy if you don’t use that free pie for checking in. it’s delicious and it’s normally four bucks!

If I could give this place a minus star I would on Sunday July 26th. A group(15) of us came in there to eat after the show the waitress is very snobby and told us that we should have called ahead of time. We waited at least 20 min before she came. we said well we can go somewhere else if its a problem she goes no its fine I guess… So we ordered appetizers, I’ll get back to that in a min but I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries when I got my burgers it was burnt and tasteless oh and it was supposed to be a bacon cheeseburger halfway through the burger she brings out a plate with two really dry pieces of bacon on it I grab them and I crumpled them into dust there was zero moisture in them. She comes back and said oh my do you want new bacon… I said no… the rest of the group had cold food 3 of them had there plates taken back in to warm it up because it was cold. Back to our appetizers, they we’re cold and the cheese curds tasted like they were deep fried and and the grease soaked into the cheese. Our French Frys tasted like fish.(Friday night fish fry oil) we will not be back and I would not recommend going to this place it is horrible I don’t even see how truck driver stop there and eat. 15 people worth of food and appetizers and drinks .1 person paid for all of our dinner and no body ate very much. WASTEOFHERMONEY. If it had been just me I would have just got up and left when I saw my burger.

As a truck driver I travel across the country and I always have a eye open for a good place to eat. The Exit 45 is a stop I make every time. The food is always good and the staff always make feel like I’ve come home. My dessert has to be a slice of pie, a meal on its own, and I’m never disappointed. My most recent visit I had a bacon cheeseburger and fries. It was awesome! Real cheddar, a thick slice, not some cheap cheese slice and topped off with fresh onions and lettuce. The fries were just right too. For desert a slice of cherry pie. I think all the cherries on 1 tree went into that one pie. I was stuffed. This restaurant is paired with a nice variety store/gas station with clean bathrooms and plenty of parking for both cars and trucks. I-94 @ x45. Just off the interstate. If your looking for fast food don’t stop here. I’m sure there’s a McDonald’s nearby. BUT If your looking for home cooking in a comfortable atmosphere with this is where you go. Looking forward to my next visit

Mediocre at best. Definitely not worth going out of your way for. It’s a truck stop no more no less. French fries were good

Stopped here on our way out of town on our road trip to Yellowstone. Nothing spectacular but the eggs Benedict was really good. My biggest complaint was their House Recipe ketchup(I’m a Heinz girl) but overall, no real complaints. A good place to stop if you are hungry and in need of breakfast. There were a few local men in there that kept it entertaining and extra crude which was fine by me.

We were excited to try out a restaurant we hadn’t been to yet in menomonie, but we’ve been left incredibly disappointed. Service was friendly, but ridiculously slow. The food was below average. I asked for no tomatoes and still received them on my sandwich. Good thing I don’t have an allergy. We considered giving them another shot, but now my friend is sick after dining there.

Wow. Just wow. Fantastic service, incredible food, amazing atmosphere, and unbelievably low prices. I’ve been here quite a few times over the course of three years, and I’ve always had a peppy waitress who always seemed to put me in a great mood. Refills were always suggested before I even noticed I was getting low. The food is GOOD. You get a LOT of it, too. I’d suggest the cheese curds as an appetizer, you get a freaking lot of them. The burgers are amazing, and the fish is really good. I’m a HUGE fan of their fries as well. If you’re ever traveling down I94 and you happen to pass by the actual exit 45, get off and stop in at the restaurant Exit 45. There’s a Cenex attached to the restaurant, and a Kwik Trip just down the road, so the location for a truck stop is really good as well.

Seriously. It is one of the best burgers ever(3 people had them at my table and loved them). One guy wanted a second one to go because he liked it so much. The service is great. They are good at refilling your drinks and checking to see if you need anything. The food comes out fast and is seemingly well prepared. Highly recommended if you are headed down 94.

Just a little mom and pop dinner connected to a gas station. The food was really good home cooking and very affordable too. Service wasn’t awesome but it was OK, got what we needed from our server and food was pretty quick. Our first time there but I think it will be a staple for brunch going forward.

We stopped here on our way home to Minneapolis from the Madison area. It was exactly what we were looking for: a truck stop-type diner with comfy booths, a big bakery/pie display case, country décor, and friendly staff. This diner adjoins a gas station/convenience store, so it’s a perfect stop in the middle of the road trip. The food is standard diner fare, and it’s all pretty good, and reasonably priced. I MUST recommend to you the fried mushrooms. They’re huge, meaty mushrooms, coated with a delicious beer batter. And they’re even better reheated! I had a Reuben sandwich, which was quite respectable, though it didn’t blow my mind. My husband seemed to enjoy his cheeseburger. Both sandwiches came with yummy chips and a pickle; if we had ordered them as «baskets», they would have included fries and soup or coleslaw, but the sandwiches by themselves were plenty for both of us. All in all, the food was decent, the service was friendly, and the check only came to about $ 25. Oh, and the free Wi-Fi was pretty great too. The only negative is that we were too stuffed at the end of the meal to share a piece of chocolate peanut butter pie. This will certainly make it onto our list of favorite stops when we’re on the road in Wisconsin.

Get your drunkass a designated driver and then head out to E45! This is a classic truck stop about 10 minutes out of town. I have spent many a late night filling up on the awesome greasy food at 3 am. Prices are LOW and you can get a breakfast or pretty much anything on the menu, anytime. If you spend low, tip big! Those waitresses deserve it for having to put up with you. How many drinks did you have anyways?
