We come here quite often. The server even knows us and is very friendly every time we come in. Their sushi is great! The guys that make it are super fast and are always having a good time. They look like they enjoy making it. We always get 3 or 4 rolls and sometimes an order of the best sesame chicken ever! Have them make it extra crispy for you, its amazing. I’m glad to have this little gem in mckinney close to home. They even have really good specials like buy two rolls get one free, $ 10 bento box night and ½ off sushi on select rolls. Drink specials are pretty good too. I wish they would do a groupon or something from time to time since we eat here a few times a month b/c our bill is usually $ 50 or more for two people but its totally worth it.

This is the first sushi place I ever went to as a teen. It still has great selections and they still have half priced rolls on a certain day. The first ever roll I had was the tempura shrimp and even to this day it is still awesome here! The service is exceptional because of the size of the building, they are also very friendly and attentive, and the drinks they serve here are great. If you order enough sushi, you get your whole order delivered on a sushi boat and it’s a lot of fun to eat off of a the boat is pretty long pending how much sushi you order. If you love their sushi and want something more simple and more potent, you have to try most of their sashimi! It’s so fresh and the chefs there really take their time to give you the best presentation every time.

Food here is pretty good but always seem to get an attitude from the waiters. We’ve been there several times over the last few years. They aren’t very kid friendly. We have stopped going there due to the rudeness.

Absolutely horrible! We ordered takeout. Several rolls, miso soup and tempura. Very fishy– as in old. We were greatly disappointed.

The interior dinning area is fairly small, the service is friendly, and the rolls are okay. I have had standards like the California, Scallop, and Philadelphia — small quantities of raw fish. What I’ve tried has been good. They have great specials like buy 2 get 1 free on Tuesdays, and half price rolls on Wednesday nights. They’re super fast on take out too. Give them a whirl.

We were trying to find a sushi place to fix our craving and well, we were not disappointed with Wasabi! First the service is REALLY good, not only are they welcoming but they actually pay attention to you throughout your dinner! Now the sushi, I stuck to the regulars of Philly roll and shrimp tempura and once again I was not disappointed, big fresh pieces of salmon and good tempura! I will be back to try their specials !

My girlfriend and I walked in to wasabi just a few minutes before they closed and they happily allowed us to come in, order and eat with smiles on their faces!!! Outstanding customer service!

I would recommend it. Ladies working there were super nice and helped me make my selection of sushi. I had take-out which was convenient and prompt. Sushi was good.

I wonder what the review from Bridget H was about no photo negative reviews some times make me wonder she was stating that she heard of bad things not that she had a bad experience thanks to the overall good reviews only one negative one

Food was okay and service was prompt. The ½ off menu was very limited. Next time I go I’ll order from the regular menu.

I do not regret buying sushi from here. When most places upset me with a lack of selection or just a horrible taste, this place steps in and saves my appetite. With a great selection and that freshly made taste it reminds of my trip to Japan. All its missing is a sushi-go-round lol.

Awesome!!! Wednesday is half price sushi day… I always stop by and take home a few rolls! Good service. The restaurant is a little small inside but I’ve never seen it unpleasantly busy!

Have been going to wasabi for years and ALLMYFRIENDS, hubby and pop love it. The Lady Dragon roll has been a staple fav-but ginger dressing salad and cucumber tuna with lemon salmon sashimi is also a staple must. So anyway my Unilocal friends, tonight for the second time… drum roll… Salmon Tango Roll. AMAZING! It is a $ 15CANNOTGOWRONGLOVELYROLL. I love Steve and all my sweet girlfriends and amazing chefs at Wasabi! YUMMO Texas! Hit this spot when you are in the area.

We stopped by Monday night and their special was $ 1 yakatoris so we thought why not and got one of each kind. Also ordered miso, agadashi tofu, beef tataki, futomaki roll, dynomite roll and the kandy cane roll. One word– YUK. The beef tataki grossed me out and it tasted rank. We left the rest of the beef untouched. They served it with picked onions i think in hopes to drown out the nastiness but I’ll pass on food poisoning. Yakatoris were fine but nothing special. Agadashi was bland and rolls just so so. It has been a while since I have had such an unsatisfactory meal and the tab came to $ 75. Never again.

The restaurant isn’t too big, and it seems like it’s most family-run. The staff is nice enough. They have decently priced sushi, and although it’s not the best sushi around, it’s not bad at all. It’s pretty standard as far as Westernized rolls go. As for their entrees, they left much to be desired. I believe I ordered the yaki soba, and thought I could get the same thing for 99 cents in the«oriental» section at Walmart. My experience there hasn’t been very memorable. It just seems like one of those places a lot of people tend to regular due to its proximity to where they’re staying. I’m not from McKinney, but if I ever happen to be here and craving sushi at the same time, I wouldn’t mind heading over to Wasabi again.

One of my favorite sushi restaurants in McKinney! The place is small, but clean and the staff is friendly. On Wednesday they have half price sushi! With the already inexpensive items, you can get a lot for not a lot of money. I love their seaweed salad, avocado rolls, and veggie rolls. I wish they would add fried ice cream to the menu like other sushi restaurants that I visit. The diner does close for a few hours after lunch, then reopens. So, be prepared for that. I don’t remember what hours they close though. I think it’s around 1? I do recommend this place. Great food, great staff, A+
