Came out from Colorado and had to get my fix on some fried bivalve mollusks — especially clams with the bellies… mmmmmm…bellies! My sister & bro-in-law took me here(the locals know). Shared plate of fried scallops and clams(Ipswich-style for those in the know). Big plates and great… lots of fries too. They also sell tons of fresh lobstaaaahhhhs. Next time I’m gettin’ me some! ps: Trivia: the bridge and road the picnic tables over look was in the move«The Way Way Back»

No nonsense. Great seafood and one of the best lobster rolls in the state. The down side is they are cash only.

IT does not get any better than this. You have not lived till you have eaten here. The lobster roll is probably their most popular item and you will understand why she you get one. A bit pricey but worth every penny and can be easily shared. Almost too good to be true! Go and Enjoy!

We love bringing the boat around to gh lobster pound at high tide for some great fried seafood. Can’t go wrong with any of their selections, it is BYOB and they are dog friendly. Can’t wait until next summer!

I came from Boston to check out the South Shore after spending most of my time in the North Shore. I started out at Duxberry Beach and searched three cities(Duxberry, Marshfield and Scituate) for best restaurant. Was looking more for sit down dining but all signs pointed here so I went with it. It’s a family owned business. I was there early and today was the last day for the season. The lobster roll was amazing. So light and tons of meat I had to eat some of it to get the roll to fit in my mouth it was that big. The fried clams were amazing. They gave me fries which were perfectly made, crisp on outside and soft on inside. The owner was so sweet wishing me well on my journey. I feel very blessed to have made it all the way here for lunch.

7.99/lb for chix(small lobsters) 8.99/lb for quarters(medium lobsters) 9.99/lb for large lobsters We got two medium lobsters. Came out to $ 29 and they steam the lobsters for you for FREE if you want to eat at picnic tables outside! Butter costs $ 1 from the shack next door for dipping So tasty, perfectly steamed for 15 minutes! Too bad it was so windy the day we came. You can also get lobster rolls. Onion rings. Fries. Fried seafood Etc from the shack next door NOTE: cash or check only

This was a decent place to grab lunch, but nothing special. It was definitely overpriced and I prefer my lobster rolls with more butter flavor, but you get a fair amount of meat and their sauce is not overwhelming. The scallop roll was ok as well(they were fried) but the sauce it came with was great. The best part about this place was the location– near enough walk to the beach for a very nice picnic! Overall, nothing really wrong with it, but the food didn’t really stand out, either.

My parents live in Marshfield and we visited from VA last week. My wife, being from KY, had never had a lobster roll. The Lobster Pound’s lobster roll was the absolute best that I have ever had and we decadently each ate a who one. Unbelievable. I will dream of it until I return for another. The best food I’ve ever eaten. Hands down!

Now that’s the way to eat lobster. The only ‘tool’ needed is a fork. Outstanding lobster roll. The onion rings are also outstanding.

Lobster roll is insane– it will ruin you for all Others. Outdoor picnic benches only. Soda from a machine — you out the money in. Order at the counter. No frills– besides the most amazing lobster roll. My two year old loves it– watching the kids Jump off The bridge into the water and we are obsessed with the lobster! Sadly they do at times run out.

My friend and I got a chance to check this place out. We each got the jumbo lobster rolls and I gotta tell you, it was worth the price! The lobster was fresh and they really piled it into the toasted, buttery roll. I can’t give them the full 5 stars though because we had such trouble trying to find parking. But a tip if you’re visiting and you’re there just to eat, you can park by the outdoor picnic tables. The actual parking lot seems to be reserved for beach goers.

When having a disappointing day looking at The rock of lies in Plymouth Rock. Your day should be better spent in Marshfield at Green Harbor Lobster Pound. Perfect in every way the service the view and the JUMBOLOBSTAROLLS!!!

Best lobster roll anywhere. Paul and Dotty who run this fine establishment welcome the family diner. Eating is out doors on picnic benches. The view is incredible. Lobster boats occasionally unload their daily catch right in front of you. For fresh seafood. Family atmosphere. Outdoor picnic atmosphere. This is the place to go

Almost cried when I ate a lobster roll and fried clam strips, they were out of this world. They were so good after inhaling both of those my boyfriend and I bought a second round of fried clam stripes. The lobster rolls are pricy(but it’s lobster) and it’s so fresh and they come was a very generous amount of lobster. The roll is buttered and grilled which adds to the amazing overall flavor. Honestly the best lobster roll I’ve ever had. Coming back ASAP!

I definitely want to remember this place for the next time I’m on the South Shore. You can buy live(or boiled) fresh local lobsters from Green Harbor here. The plan was lobster rolls but it was cool to look at them, talk to the guy, and watch little girl pick one up. Honestly, I liked the food better knowing it couldn’t get more local. We split a giant lobster roll and fried whole clams. The roll was very generously loaded with lobster that continued to fall out even after picking at it with forks so we kept our tray handy to catch any droppings. None was wasted! And of course it had a buttered roll. As for the clams, so many sizes to choose from(small, medium, large, plate, & basket??)… After a pause we ordered a small expecting a small snack as a side for the roll but it could have been a meal unto itself. And so delicious! Lightly fried with a bit of salt but definitely not overpowering the clams. Yum! We ate it all on a picnic bench next to an empty stream bed(it was low tide) but I got the idea and could see boats in the distance floating in water so it was an okay view that should be better at high tide. And we saw those rolls delivered from a local bakery. It’s a couple blocks from a very large beach. Total cost($ 47.70). All in all definitely a highly recommended visit!

The Lobster Pound has 2 sizes, regular and large(right now $ 14.95 and $ 24.95 – don’t forget they can fluctuate). We had regulars and they are really a perfect size and taste is GREAT. It has just enough mayo to put it together. Just the way we LOVE them. They do have picnic tables in the back. While the«ambience» isn’t exactly looking out on the Ocean, it IS on the water and we loved the Staff. They were personable and friendly. A GREATLOBSTERROLL !!

The lobster roll at Green Harbor Lobster Pound is totally worth the drive from Boston. It’s not cheap($ 20) but is completely overstuffed with fresh lobster. They were light on the mayo and there was very little lettuce — just the way it should be!

Never before in my history of eating have I ever thought I’d say what those txtrs say: TMFL! No way, I thought, that the Green Harbor Lobster Pound’s lobster rolls would be worth $ 20 a pop. But, TMFL, they were. Oh, so worth it. (TMFL = Too Much Friggin Lobsta!:)
