There is a reason this restaurant has been there for forever. I love seafood and theirs’ is tasty and obviously fresh. However the surprising thing is they also have amazing chicken parm. Apps mean crab cakes. Mondays is busy with cocktail shrimp and oysters at a $ 1.00. Kudos to the chef and of course the shucker.

Never again will I go to Haddad’s. My meal was overcooked and over priced. The scallops and clams were like chewing rubber bands. The whole plate came to me cold. The waitress was shocked when I told her I did not want to take the leftovers home. Can’t wait for Charlie’s Too to reopen to get a good Fisherman’s Platter.

If your looking to get your seafood fix, Haddad’s is the place to go. It is a large restaurant with an amazing deck overlooking the water. They have a huge bar with large draft beer selection and Keno! The seafood I have eaten has always been fresh and the other menu items are great as well. The owner Chuck is a great guy who really cares about the customer and the food he serves. I look forward to coming back.

The place is clean and staff were great but the food was terrible. I always used to stop by the old restaurant for fresh fish and chowder and it was always the Best Around south shore. Well how things have changed. The fish was terrible and the portions were small. It seems to me they got to big and forgot their recipes for success. Try somewhere else

Nothing to write home about… Huge, noisy(albeit redone) local restaurant with decent seafood and generally decent prepared fish dishes. Its popular since there is little around, but there is no real atmosphere, it can be azoo, and while the fish dishes are OK, they are prepared in the most basic of fashions… no creativity here. Its better than Red Lobster…

Great food great atmosphere. I have been here twice in the last week– Jill was a phenomenal bartender, getting us seats easily even though it was a busy Saturday, and paying attention to details with every customer. Thursday we enjoyed the outdoor patio and Kelly was a great server. The live music that night was a treat and they were immensely talented. Whoever they were– I’d go see them anytime they played. Great spot to stop on vacation.

So great to work with if you use their function room! We had a bridal shower here and the staff went above and beyond to help us! The food was fantastic and the space was beautiful. I can’t say enough great things about them. Would highly recommend for functions and even for dining, their food is great!

I have to upgrade for the simple fact that they have the BEST chicken Parmesan sandwich. The thing has a huge chicken breast, awesome marinara, and tons of cheese on the best bread(pretty sure it’s a French roll). For ten bucks(lunch menu) you get the sandwich and a side, it’s a great deal and oh so delicious.

Can’t beat $ 1 oysters during a beach vacation! The Ultimate Bloody Mary was a meal itself. Loved the calamari and the cole slaw is to die for. I had a grilled salad with shrimp… very yummy shrimp… but the salad part could have been better. It was difficult to cut up the veggies on the size plate it came on. The cranberry vinaigrette dressing was very good… just sweet enough.

Good value, fresh fish, excellent portion size and really good green beans. Try the homemade potato chips and mango salsa. Family restaurant so lots of kids. Need to go back for a lobster roll before the summer is over.

Quite possibly the worst lobster roll I’ve had in the new England area. It was supposed to come hot and buttered. It arrived neither hot or buttered. Just lukewarm and dry. I was given a little dipping cup of butter which didn’t even help that’s how far gone the lobster was. The menu said it’s freshly shucked, but the lobster was definitely wasn’t fresh. On top of it, I ordered a regular roll for $ 16 and got maybe half a lobster on my sad piece of bread. The lobster bisque wasn’t much better. It was chunky and not in a good way. All the chunks were potatoes, not lobster. Best thing here was the view :/

Impecably clean bathrooms, good signal that the place is well managed and that the food is good. The waiters are very attentive and accommodating. The prices are what you expect in this kind of setting and quality. We had fresh oysters, fried clams, clam chowder, lobster chowder. Everything good. We had a good time.

Absolutely delicious. If you like seafood you will love Haddad’s. The fish and shellfish is some of the best and freshest that I have ever had. Its across, the street from the beach and next door to a fish market, anything other than great seafood is an anomaly here. They renovated a, year or two ago and it looks absolutely beautiful now. Their Lobster Bisque is the best I’ve ever had and the rest of the food is just as superb. Bravo Haddad’s, I applaud the superb quality of your food.

OMG have been going to Haddad’s for a long time and love their haddock casserole. Got it every time! Now I have a new favorite; their baked stuffed shrimp, sooo delicious! Yum. Gotta go there!

recently went to the new Haddads and it was OK. The food at the old Haddads was better, but the food was still good. It didn’t live up to our expectations. We were hoping it would be as good as before. But with the new building being three times the size as the old, we should have expected it. With so many more customers being seated it takes longer to get food, get drinks and have a waitress show up at the table. I got the fried clams and scallops and it was ok but not great. The scallops were chewy and the clams were tiny. Next time I want fried clams or scallops I’ll try somewhere else. I’d still go back, but I’d eat something else.

For 25 years I’ve been summering in nearby Duxbury and somehow never ventured into Haddads. My family & I decided to try a new place & opted for here. The wait was 40 minutes which wasn’t bad for a busy Saturday night. When they went to seat us there was a slight gaffe & they went to put us at a high top table in the bar. Not exactly toddler friendly. We then had to wait 15 – 20 more minutes for a table. I expected the main dining room to be a bit fancier. The outside is so gorgeous, the breadboard is beautiful but the table & chairs & rug look dated & worn. The food however was outstanding. We started off with three great apps. Coconut shrimp, calamari & amazing clams casino. We practically licked the plates clean.

I’ve heard a lot of people sing Haddad’s praises but I think they may have jumped the shark. I’ve been here two separate times now and my mother has been about 4 times. Each time everything has just been okay, nothing spectacular. I agree with other reviewers that even though it’s literally on the ocean, it doesn’t have any of the appeal that a restaurant on the water usually has. It honestly felt like more of a pub with the Keno machines and beers flowing during the game. I had the calamari there and I was definitely not impressed. It was rubbery and again, just not something I would expect from a seafood restaurant sitauted on the resource. I’d say if you’re in the mood to watch the Sox, have some beers, and pub fish, this is your place, but don’t expect anything too spectacular.
