Alen and the rest of the staff Are AMAZING! They work so hard to make sure that the costumer are happy! This is by far my boyfriend and I favorite restaurant!

This is going to be a tough review I’m afraid… the restaurant itself is quite nice and they decorated it very well but like any restaurant it all comes down to the food… Or lack there of in this case. We waited 45 minutes for a table only to be seated at a table that had been vacant for that entire 45 minutes. When I complained to the hostess she said the kitchen had requested they don’t seat anyone else so they could catch up. To be fair there was a rehearsal dinner going on so I let that one slide but hey it’s a warm night and Friday night did they not expect to be busy? If they can’t service a full restaurant they should just remove the tables? Right? Anyways our server Evan came right over and was very pleasant. We ordered oysters(which never arrived but made it’s way to our bill) clam chowder and lettuce wraps. After 45 minutes the appetizers arrived. Seriously were they out digging up the clams? How difficult is it to pour clam chowder? The chowder was incredibly delicious as were the lettuce wraps… it’s the wait we had an issue with… oh but there was more waiting to come. The dinners arrived about 45 minutes later seconds before we were going to walk out. By the way by this time there was practically no one else left in the restaurant so the rehearsal dinner excuse didn’t fly. The food was good overall and the management sent over a complimentary bottle of wine to make up for the wait. This is a new restaurant and I think there on the right track food wise but the kitchen is a disaster. I think it’s prime for a chef Ramsey episode of kitchen disasters. Unless they reorganize fast this restaurant will be toast in 6 months. Can’t say we will be back anytime soon it’s just too difficult to wait 90 minutes for a meal. Too many other restaurants with far better service. To Evan our waiter who was ready to fist fight the kitchen in order to get our meals you’ve got the right stuff but move on career wise you don’t want to spend your life apologizing for things you can’t control. One more thing my girlfriend ordered the scallops and we found out an HOUR after ordering they didn’t have scallops and she would have to order something else. They promised to comp the meal but that found its way to the bill too… They did remove it after we corrected them. Good luck harbor fire pull it together, hate to see a restaurant with potential flop.

Thanks to recent reviews, I walked in on a Friday night with clear expectations: I would spend a lot of time waiting for food and drink, but I’d enjoy my surroundings and would never feel rushed. Sure enough, we did some waiting: for menus, for drinks, for food. We had a great server; Evan explained delays, was apologetic, yet always professional. Clearly, the restaurant has some system issues to work through. But the entrees were pretty good, the setting was great, and the people watching was excellent.

Worst experience ever. Waited over 45 minutes for appetizers. Appetizers that aren’t even cooked such as shrimp cocktail. Finished my wine which I waited 30 minutes for and left without paying. Screw them, they ruined my date.

Giving it a 2 because I never got a chance to eat anything. Basically walked in, waited forever on a dead night and walked out. Posting this in hopes that it will help this place because I want to see it succeed. Here’s what I took away after being there for 15 minutes on a very slow weeknight: 1. Host/hostess was nowhere to be found. Somebody(I think she was a waitress) blew by us going 100 miles and hour and said«sit anywhere». 2. Dirty tables everywhere. 3. We sat and sat and sat in the hot room and nobody every came over to greet us, give us water, take drink order, etc. 4. Place was REALLY hot and stuffy. Wished the windows opened especially with the ocean right there. 5. Acoustic guitar/singer guy was WAYYYYYY to loud. It’s a boomy place and this guy was cranked, overpowering every conversation in both rooms. I’ll give it another shot because I like the location but it was a really terrible first impression.

My favorite restaurant in Marshfield! The food is fabulous and the wait staff is so friendly. Especially love when Charlie waits on us!!! It is only going to get better when Summer comes!!!

The pros: lovely décor, lively bar crowd, a gorgeous deck(albeit overlooking the parking lot), nice(summertime) view and live music(a singer playing guitar) which is so nice and so rare around here. Not nearly enough«pros» to make up for the abysmal service(I mean really, really, really bad. Like, worst.service.evvvverrrr. Am I making myself clear here??). PAINFULLY slow, clueless, borderline rude and disorganized. We sat at the(crowded) bar where there were 3 «bartenders» working. Each one was more useless than the next and from what I saw there wasn’t one who could make a proper cocktail. I can appreciate a generous pour, but the drinks were so strong and heavily-poured that they weren’t even palatable. Definitely somewhere you’ll want to stick with beer or wine!(Upside … you will CERTAINLY get your money’s worth on a glass of wine! Big, huge goblets poured to the tippy top.) The food was pedestrian and unimpressive. We sampled 4 or 5 items and there wasn’t one I would recommend. Not inedible, but just blah and(pardon my snark) very«Applebees». I saw that the party seated next to us sent back 2 of their 3 meals so I gather we weren’t the only ones who were underwhelmed. Initially I was thinking 1-star, but upon further reflection I just know I’ll end up back there again to enjoy the atmosphere, bar crowd and entertaining musicians. … Those pros along with the killer glasses of wine are worth a bonus 2nd star, no? If you do go, bring patience, a designated driver and an already full stomach and you just might enjoy it.

Went to Harbor Fire last night for a friend’s birthday. They were having a beer promotion so we thought it would be fun to go. My fiancé and I bought clam chowder and siracha boneless chicken tenders, both which were great but the service was absolutely awful. I was never asked if I wanted another drink. I waited about 45 minutes before the food came out. I wanted to leave earlier in the evening and the bartender never came back to ask if I wanted to my bill. The only reason she gave me my bill is because I stood up with my keys in my hand and she must’ve realized I was ready to leave. I plan on emailing the general manager about this as well. Such a same because the vibe of the place seems fun but clearly they cater to an older crowd and don’t care about the younger patrons.

The atmosphere was hopeful but I agree with others about the poor service. Excruciating wait for food that was not cooked as requested. Other tables were served within 40 minutes but we still waited. The hostess was trying her best to rectify the situation but the manager needed schooling in customer service. Disappointing at best! We left before we ate our meals.

I REALLY wanted to love this restaurant. It has very pretty décor and a fairly good location with ample parking but while the food was good, if fact the spinach salad was excellent, the service was deplorable. In a restaurant that was less than half full it took 20 minutes for anyone to take a drink order, the salads were delivered a half hour after ordering and only after I inquired about them and the entrees 40 minutes after that. There were two waitstaff, one appeared to be very good, they other no so much. Guess which one we had? I can’t really see going back.

My wife and I recently had dinner at Harbor Fire on what we were surprised to see was a busy Friday night, considering it being the off season. The ambiance that has been created there is awesome! We sat in the lounge area and it was truly unlike anywhere in the area. We were impressed that the wine list included Cakebread as well! Our food was amazing from the baked oysters for an appetizer to my wife’s lettuce wraps and my beef filet. I consider myself a bit of a steak snob and I would put this steak above anywhere local and most Boston steakhouses! Needless to say we will be back and can’t wait to try out the deck when the weather allows. Oh yeah and our waitress(Michelle I think) was awesome! Finally looks like this location has a winner!

My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch. The service was excellent, the tap beer and wine selection good, the food well prepared and the surroundings were clean and modern. I had the LTO house salad with shrimp paired with a french rose wine and my husband had the tuna sandwich paired with the Clown Shoes Double IPA. The salad was a large artfully arranged mix of romaine, arugula, carrots, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, red onions and spiced shrimp. I ordered with the dressing on the side. Everything was very fresh and the shrimp was cooked nicely. The dressing was tasty but a little too sweet. I was very happy that there was no iceberg lettuce on this salad! The salad would be enough to share if you were ordering as an appetizer. The tuna sandwich was sliced rare sushi style tuna steak on nice size bun with piping hot rustic cut fries. It was a great sandwich. Prior to tip, the bill was under $ 50, which I would say was a great value for the portion sizes and quality of the food.

The rating really should be a 2.5 stars **disclaimer: Harbor Fire Grill and Bar is still new** I was looking for somewhere with outdoor seating that had drinks and had seafood before returning back to the city/reality. I have been here when it was the deck but heard it was a restaurant under new management. It is still new so they will probably improve. There was no one inside really and a few tables were occupied outside. I ordered the mojito and my friend had the lemonade. The mojito was nothing special so I don’t understand why it was their most popular drink. I tried my friend’s drink to better and very sweet. The calamari was good. I wish there was more of green sauce on it. I ordered the Cajun salmon that had roasted potato, asparagus and scallion truffle butter. I felt the fish lacked flavor. The potato were dry. The asparagus were really good. My friend said she liked her shrimp andouille entrée. I have a shellfish allergy so I could not try it but looked good. Annoying thing was that the waitress came over and asked us how our food was before we even took a bite. The manager came over a brunch and checked on us as well. I enjoyed the view and hope they will work out their kinks soon.

I went to Harbor Fire yesterday for the first time, to celebrate friend’s birthday and we had a great time. We got there just as the weather cleared up so we were able to enjoy their outdoor seating, which was beautiful! Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and drink/beer list(fyi-wachusett strawberry white is delicious). Our group split a few apps(Calamari, teriyaki chicken fingers & nachos) while we hung out, which were very good. We will be back for sure!

Amazing view. That got one star. Service is laughably bad. Took our waitress 15 minutes to get a drink order. We asked what she had on tap. She responds Budweiser, Sam Adams, Harpoon, Jacks Abbey etc. Ok which beer from each brewery. not sure. Back to the bar to ask. Comes back with blatantly wrong information. «Sorry thats what bartender told me». We all drink good beer but we’re afraid what we’ll get. We order Bud lights, we don’t think they can screw that up. She brought us out some stale pita chips(really bad) and hummus. We ordered the calamari which was good(another star).but we decided to cut our losses. Awesome deck for having a few bud lights. I wouldn’t go back for food.

The view is great! That’s where it starts going down hill. Tried sitting outside but the bugs were bad. Went inside and found out why this place is empty. The waitress was sweet but needs listening training. Oysters were claimed to be local but weren’t. We have great oysters in Duxbury and they served this crap. Bolognese had thick under cooked pasta and an amateur sauce. I was looking forward to the main course shrimp andouille! Shocker, she didn’t hear me when I ordered that. They quick fired my dinner and out came 4 fried shrimp and burnt greasy fries. You would think the manager would have come out to apologize but no one over the age of 20 was in sight. Nobody bothered to ask how my dinner was. I will never go there again.

We hit the harbor fire last weekend with the kids. We have been here before when it was the deck. Love the new look inside. Really sharp. We got a table on the deck. First thing we noticed was one of our chairs was pretty much shredded to pieces. Oh well we just grabbed another. Service was good. Pleasant and experienced. We had clam chowder. Awesome! Salmon was delicious. Tuna burger and fries fabulous. Chicken tenders well they were chicken tenders I guess. Cocktails were refreshing and delicious. Overall great experience. We’ll be back!

I really wanted to like this place. We went around 5pm in hopes to avoid the dinner crowd. That was a plus. The seating isn’t really comfortable and the tables tip easy. The acoustics are absolutely awful. The view however is beautiful. On to the food… we ordered fish & chips, a burger, chicken and waffles, as well as a kids pizza. Sodas and a beer. The fish and chips was delicious. But you only get served one small piece of cod. I was expecting a filet for $ 17. It was less than a half a filet. The fries were also great. The burger and kids pizza were just that, a burger and pizza. The chicken and waffles were really gross. I’ve had chicken and waffles before, I understand there is some sweetness to it, but this was over the top sweet. And the potatoes that came with it didn’t quite taste like potatoes. Beers were $ 5, so not bad. Service was awful. Everyone was nice but very confused on what they should be doing. A drink was spilled and a girl looked at it and walked by to clean another table where no one was sitting. Not a single employee offered to help clean up and there were plenty of them around doing nothing. And the servers were so slow. From the time out order went in and we got our food was normal time though(20 minutes or so). We won’t be returning.

I think this weekend was their first weekend serving food — so you know how that goes when a new place opens. You just needed to be patient, so we were. They have a nice outside area and the big inside bar but there’s also a section for dining, as the bar area is really loud. We ended up getting a nice table outside Here’s the good and the bad. Good– Nice outside dining area Big bar area inside(but super loud) Food was very good Presentation of food was very nice Bottle of wine $ 16(hello, that’s very good) Seasoned butter that comes along with the bread, yum Bad– They just opened so you need to be patient, very patient. It easily took 20 mins for my bottle of wine to come out and it only came out because the dining room manager came by and I told him, you guys are doing a great job, just give people alcohol and bread and they will be fine for a while. Needless to say, he brought out our bottle of wine. Young and inexperienced waitstaff had 5 or 6 tables. You can’t do that. Had they had more waitstaff, things would have gone smoother. At dusk you know what happens when you are outside… bugs and lots of them. They had little bug candles on everyone’s table, and they offered bug spray to guests, which was very kind. I’m sure they will figure out what to do to avoid this in the future, be it adding fans or those flaming heat lamps. We will DEFINITELY go back! Don’t worry, the«bad» parts of this review has great news — all those issues can and I’m sure will be worked out so definitely check this new restaurant out!
