I came here for my friends birthday with a few other co-​workers during work hours. I got here right when they opened. They have a great selection. I ordered a 1b of shrimp with sausage. I got pretty full. I would order the fries but only get 1 if is you and 1 other person. There is more than enough to go around. the service was excellent. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Im sure I’ll be back because its not far from where we work and everyone in my department had a great time.

So, I went there during memorial day weekend and the service was just horrible. We were first greeted terribly by the hostess (who look oddly uncomfortable in some waist trainer thing, do you even lift?)The waiter was some fuck boi but great service nevertheless. The food shit and rotten like my ass hole. The hot wings 10⁄10 though. Definitely worth the wait just for the wings.

I started coming here as a substitute for boiling crab because it’s closer than going all the way to Garden Grove. It was great at first, but the last 2 times I went, either the shrimp was barely warm when it came to the table or the potatoes were rotten on the inside or old, like if they were leftovers from the night before. The shrimp is also dry, it’s impossible to peel and you pretty much end up with nothing after such a struggle. Yuck.
Also one of the hostess there that wears those waist training things had a horrible attitude last time I went. Maybe if she took it off she’d be in a better mood.

The closest Kickin crab near where we live. Parking can be a hassle since it’s in a very tight packed plaza with shops and other restaurants around. It’s located in Plaza Mexico in Lynwood. Try to avoid rush times especially for dinner because you can end up waiting MORE THAN 45 minutes. Luckily, today wasn’t so bad we arrived around 6:45pm and got seated immediately. We usually order the medley that has fish, potatoes, corn and sausage. I suggested we try to get the Medium level of spicy not thinking it would be as hot but BOY WAS I WRONG! My tongue was on fiiiiiiiiiiire! haha that’s what I get for trying to one up the hotness level. I’ll stick to ordering the mild next time. We got our shrimp fix so we’re good for now!

I’ve been to this restaurant like 4 times it’s near my house. It remind me the restaurant Boiling Crab. I had the 1lb of shrimp it was good. The cajun fries had so much seasoning the first time I ordered them. Another time I ordered a basket of fish and fries. Did not like the fish it was so dry. I just order the shrimp now. Fyi I still prefer Boiling Crab.

It was my first time. It was ok not as good as boiling crab. Service got kinda slow there wasn’t a lot of customers to say it was full. All in all I doubt ill be coming back ill rather take the long as trip to boiling crab.

Worst servive ever!!! All the people who work there either hate life or hate there job… could be both. I go and pay for my food I’m not asking for free stuff. And that is the way I get treated like if I was eating for free… very poor service…

This was my second time eating at Kickin Crab, the first was at the Garden Grove location. The reason I had never gone back was due to the sweetness of the sauce. With this closer location, I figured I’d give it another try.
First things first. A little hard to find because it is located in the inner side of the plaza. But the wait was short! I do give ‘em that.
Taste was still sweet. Apparently you have the options of either picking all of the seasonings or ONLY one. You can’t pick and choose the seasonings. Bummer.
Service was basically 2 stars, except for one guy who was serving the other side of the restaurant. He went out of his way to make sure everything was going well, probably cause our server never came back to check on us. Someeebady give him a raise!
Probably won’t go back, it was a nice plaza though! Wish the churro stand was open late :(

I don’t know what happened to the kickin crab. Before it used to be acceptable, now it’s just meh.
First of all there’s barely any sauce in the bags of seafood anymore.
The sauce used to be a bit thicker, now it’s just very watery which isn’t cute in my opinion.
Service is boarder line meh and horrible. Our server forgot to give us bibs and he also never checked on us for drink refills.
I saw a lot of the servers talking with one another near the POS system. That’s cool and all, but when your service is lacking cause you guys are hanging out and talking with one another in the back… Nah.
One star.

will not return,…tasted like water and seafood if that makes any sense. I have no words for how it tasted and definitely wasn’t worth the price. It seems they just stuck everything in the bag cooked it and served because it had no seasoning/​flavor what so ever (redudant I know but it had absolutely no flavor)
Service: was great the ladies were very helpful with the menu which seemed to be the best part about the place.
The sound of the music was way too loud it was too hard to hold a conversation without yelling what every other sentance.

Currently here, and first time here.
I only tried this alternative place from boiling crab because it was too late to make it to my favorite location (garden grove) and this place is literately 8mins away from my home.
I said, «hey, let’s give it a shot.»
And I must say I’ll stick to boiling crab,
Customer service is rushed and not as attentive.
And that’s a huge pet peeve for me, especially if I’m paying you my money for your food and service.
Boiling crab manages to always greet even if it not your table or if your just dropping something off, no matter what pressure.
Keep calm… Staff members.
(With Exception of the nice host, so sweet)

Soooooo good & flavorful!
Me and a friend shared a pound of shrimp, one corn, some potatoes, two orders of steamed rice and a huge bucket of Cajun fries! All for under $ 25. Now that’s a handful!
Service was quick and friendly, glad I got to experience this. Plus, it’s located inside a little plaza, so free parking! It’s a win-​win.

First and last time going here. After we left a $ 10 tip for the waitress on a $ 60 bill, my wife and her sister ordered 2 separate orders to go. The waitress showed the the bill for the orders and they ok’d it, only charges were the actual food. When we got home we realized the final to go bills had 18% gratuity added to them without any authorization. I called and spoke to the manager who’s said they added the gratuity on parties of 6 or more, we we’re only 4. Check your bills, these waitresses are thieves.
The food was decent and the place was pretty dirty overall.

This place should NOT be in business! Theeee worst service and appearance. Dirty tables with dirty rolls of paper towels. PLEASE DON’T EAT HERE!!!
The staff is incompetent and the management knows. They don’t even offer snow crab. I can’t eat king crab because the spikes hurt my hands (I’m a pianist), so I ordered the dungess crab. They brought me this mess with a whole crab in it. When I asked how do you eat it my waitress had no idea. She went to get another waitress who had no idea. Thank God there was a customer there who knew you CAN NOT eat evvvvverything after you crack open the undercooked crab. The meat in the legs was all mushy like it needed more time in the boiler or something. It was an awful experience and I’ll never be back. They charged me $ 44 for garbage and when I tried to complain they ignored me. I want my money back.
Shoulda went to the Boiling Crab.

I love seafood and all sorts of Cajun seafood. I’ve tried so many different versions of Boiling Crab, and this place is definitely the best. I’ve also been here quite a few times and the experience has been consistent.
They’re usually not as busy, so the wait time to be seated is little to reasonable. The size and pricing of the menu options are also reasonable. They do not offer half pounds, unlike other places. The environment is average and the staff are friendly.
We ordered two pounds of shrimp Kickin style, a pound of crawfish Kickin style, Cajun fries and sides of rice. I’ve tasted Medium, Spicy and Spicy Spicy. Normally, I get the spiciest option everywhere, but the Spicy Spicy was uncomfortably spicy for me haha.
It’s also very convenient how close the restaurant is. The location is also kind of hidden in Plaza Mexico, but it’s still nice to visit. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Never again… NO SEAFOOD SCAMPI SERVED HERE
Service 99% — they forgot to bring another bib, the crableg cracker, and my mayo lol. Other than that, very friendly and helpful.
Free drink bc they were out of 3 items we wanted.
Kind of ghetto bc they asked if we were done with the cracker cuz they needed it for another table.
Food 90% — garlic noodles was from the bottom of the pot, kind of hard but edible. King crab legs weren’t enough (only ordered 1lb. Lol)
Were out of steamed rice, gumbo AND clam chowder.
Atmosphere — not too shabby

This place is a GREAT alternative to other cajun seafood spots out there! And it’s a lot closer for all the westside people.
Another bonus is that it’s not too busy. The shrimp is pretty good.
Another thing is the music here is just too loud. It’s like you’re at a club at the restaurant.
BTW, we asked for rice twice and it never came but we were charged for it.
Regardless, it’s a solid spot and we will definitely come back. If you’re looking for it, it’s at Plaza Mexico but on the inner courtyard. You can’t see it from the outside/​parking lot.

Mariscos mis favoritos… Y esto es realmente diferente tiene un stilo diferente en la manera que lo preparan me fascinó un lugar totalmente limpio eso me gusta porque yo trabajo en restaurante y eso es lo que cuenta mucho para tener satisfecho a un cliente… El servicio el chico de lentes no recuerdo el nombre fue muy amable muy atento me sentía en un ambiente agradable personal joven se ve que disfrutan su trabajo y eso es bueno porque el trabajo se hace ameno me gusto mucho… Gracias chicos…
