Fast service, but food was dry, need more caldo, but very good taste … I order the birria order plate.

The food was great. The service was hilarious. I bought the Unilocal voucher prior to my visit. When i told the waitress that i was planning to use my voucher, she rolled her eyes and said, extremely loud, «oh so you want to use a coupon, huh?». Totally unprofessional but authentic.

Waited about 30 minutes but well worth it. food was delicious and service was great even though the house was packed.

Birria is amazing. handmade tortillas. delicious salsa and cozumel that goes on birria … you will fall in love with their birria tasty and juicy

This place is best on a Sunday when you’re hungover xD Sometimes you might find celebrities here. My parents know most of them but i’m not sure who they are. Most of the time there is always a person playing an instrument so you can enjoy your meal listening to nice music! Great place!

I came in with high hopes for this place. I personally love birria, but after this experience I know with certainty I will never ever in my life have goat again! It was just awful. Birria is supposed to be served in a bowl not a plate. An overall bad experience and not to mention costly.

I always love coming here for some authentic birria! The staff is always nice and sweet.

Order the Media Orden de Pierna if you cannot travel to East LA to Birrieria Don Boni. That place is the OG spot which used to be called Birrieria Jalisco before its name change to Birrieria Don Boni.
That place is delicious. This is an offshoot. The salsa and consome are similar but the tortillas, the meat, and the price are all worse here. On top of that, during my visit, like another Unilocaler, I experienced panhandling during my visit. Not acceptable.
Stick with Don Boni in East LA for your true goat fix. That place is GOAT.

Worst service ever !! We actually got up and left the place !! Table tops dirty and waitress’s was not even attentive and was just bad service all around. The lace had hardly anyone there so no excuse for that kind of customer service! Period!

Another successful visit at the main home of the Goats in LA ! I just noticed that here I the lynwood location they have hand made tortillas, but un the east LA they don’t. Either way it’s still great. We just need to get an alcoholic licence to share our birria with!

Good luck coming in a Sunday. The server was rushing us to order. She asked us «are you ready» like 4 times she didn’t speak English, the food took 40 mins. Brought us the food with no utensils. Waited for the utensils for 5 more minutes. I had to get up and chase her to ask her for things. She gave us the wrong order, by the time all this happened I was not hungry anymore. The manager came and told me a lame excuse that they were switching shifts. Just except that what went wrong and that’s it. Negative 1 star if that was possible.

Birria (goat) is the only thing they serve here and its delicious!
There’s tons of places in Los Angeles that serves authentic birria as its made traditionally with goat but not many places serve only this one item and nothing else so if you’re looking to have something besides goat, this isn’t for you.
Back to this delicious dish. This is by far the best I’ve had from any restaurant. This reminds me of my friends Grandmother’s birria when she makes it on special occasions. I need no special occasion for this birria so this is now my go to whenever I want it.
The service is also excellent. Friendly waitresses and the food is brought to you within five to ten minutes so you’ll be chowing down in no time once seated.
I recommend this for anyone who loves birria and for anyone who haven’t tried it and is curious about its taste. You wont be disappointed.

This is a mix of good and bad. I did not occur to me that a place called Birria Jalisco, that would be the only thing on the menu would be Birria. I was like what? That’s it. Ok I’ll try some. I did and I could eat it again. Maybe. My wife had a different experience. She loved it. Told me stories about how she remembers way back when… Not so much for me.
Staff here were very friendly and playful. Everything clean and well kept. The jarricara did not look like the previous pictures in Unilocal.But it was good. It’s like flan only not turned over.
I think maybe they need to do one bit of change on concept. Have some other foods. If you have more than 1 person with you and they don’t like Birria. Then you just lost both sales. Otherwise. I would recommend to those who like Birria.

And they serve you in a flat plate! Which I have ever seen EVER!
And the waitress brought us the wrong drink and didn’t even apologize!

The birria is never over cooked. The meat is soft and perfectly cooked to be paired up with the «consume» (stew). With each order you are given fresh condiments; chopped onions, cilantro & limes. If you like your food spicy chili sauce is also provided. Each order also comes with hand made tortillas.

Wowzers!!! This place is super legit. If you want birria around South Gate/​Lynwood this is the place to be at. I stumbled across this little gem when I was on my Unilocal app looking for local deals. $ 10 for $ 20…why not?
They literally only serve birria, so please be warned. They have several cuts from the chivo so you can choose any portion you really like. I couldn’t make up my mind so I decided to just take a pound of meat for $ 23 since I had the Unilocal deal.
The ladies that work there are really really nice. I absolutely love great customer service so this place gets 10 stars for that. The food was great. Tender, not too greasy and the juice was quite flavorful, but I think they might have put too much cloves or cinnamon in it. Not 100% if that is the correct spice, but it had something up in there lol.
The reason I have to kick this down to 4 stars is that you only get meat. I mean they have mastered the craft of birria, but hit me with some beans and rice. And no tortillas with an order of a pound of birria?! That’s not cool. Haha.
Going to be getting this deal soon and coming back for more!

The place is a nice size restaurant.
I was warmly greeted as I came in and seated immediately.
From the menu, they really only have 2 entrees. Birria (Goat, either full or half order) & Chamorro (Goat Fore shank)
I ordered the ½ order and it came with onions, cilantro, lime & 4 corn tortilla.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS
The meat was very tasty & very tender (fall off the bone tender).
The broth (Consommé) it comes in is delicious.
They also bring out a hot sauce with your meal. I tried it both with and without hot sauce. Either way was good.
The ½ order was enough to satisfy me, just the right amount of food. I walked out of there satisfied.
If you like goat, you’ve got to come and try it here.
If you don’t like goat, this place might convert you. It’s that good.
Lamb and goat get a raw deal because of their gaminess.
In my experience eating them, if it’s fresh and cooked properly, there should be no gaminess at all.
Also got the Horchata, wow that was good too.
NOTE: They don’t serve rice or beans. (what?) Yes, sorry.
Rice would be so good with that consommé.
I need to try the Chamorro next time, but just from my meal. I know it’s going to be good. Birrieria Jalisco knows how to cook GOAT.
