Wow, best banh mi EVER! I ordered grilled pork with extra meat — delicious! Fresh tender but crunchy bun, tasty grilled pork, fresh pickled carrots and radish, cilantro, cucumbers. Much bigger than banh mi I’ve had elsewhere, but still very inexpensive. Completely worth it, if you can find it! It’s sort of behind another little strip mall in a smaller building. Off the beaten track but totally bustling the whole time I was there. Simple, delicious, casual, cheap! Can’t beat it! :)

Yup Yeh Yeh’s the truth. $ 4.50 for a BBQ Pork loaded with seasoned pork, veggies and on a roasted bread roll that somehow is perfectly crisp on the outside and super soft and fluffy on the inside. Not sure how they do it. The bread also isn’t your traditional long skinny baguette. It is more oval shaped but it is big. Been here multiple times during lunch hour and have never had an issue with the services or food. Probably one of the best Bahn Mi’s you can get. Parking sucks but just park on the street near by. The place can be hard to find if you haven’t been here before. Its on the backside of Hwy 99.

Yeh Yeh’s has possibly the best bahn mi in the area. A bit more expensive than the others as well but I always have the grilled pork and then forget that what they’re asking me at the register is if I want a Jalepeno or not. No other Bahn mi shop asks that so I say no. This makes a good snack on the way to the college. They can be fairly slow though and it can be packed with college students so don’t be in a rush.

I don’t have a lot of experience with Bahn Mi sandwiches, but I stopped here based on reviews on Unilocal. The«bbq pork and ham» combo caught my eye(guess I was expecting something like a Cuban sandwich”. The«combo» appears to be their signature sandwich, and it was good. I liked the light fluffy bun, almost a French quality. The two meat selections were processed meat, not sliced roast, otherwise the flavor was good and satisfying and worth the price. I also noticed the customers were mostly high school and college students. Yeh-Yeh is perfect faire for that age group, fast and efficient basic light sandwiches in the league of «Subway.» …no negatives…3 stars!

Awesome prices and quick! I have been to Yeh Yeh’s quite a few times now and each time they have delivered consistently on flavour and service. Their sandwiches are flavourful and always filled. not like some other places that is all bread and no real substance. I also like that their bread isn’t very hard causing the roof of your mouth to be in pain after your meal. Their phở is pretty typical so nothing to say there… but prices are lower than other phở places. Eggrolls here are a must!(At least for me!) Fried to perfection every single time! Delicious! The only complaint I have is parking… it can get quite crowded and they share a lot with everyone. Every business are anal about their parking spots, so you really have no choice but to either park right in front or on the streets. Other than that, this place is always my go to place for a solid and well made banh mi!

This place is definitely geared towards high school/college students looking for a cheap meal. We got a large phở dac biet, grilled pork sandwhich, bo kho and a soda for $ 20. The phở was average, noodles were completely cooked though. Bo kho was too sweet for my taste and very oily. Although the chunks of beef were very tender and the portion was generous. The best was the sandwhich. Warm, fluffy bread with just the right amount of fillings. Add a fried egg for $ 1, so worth it! A big con was the owner and daughter/sandwhich maker were in the middle of the restaurant yelling at eachother over a medical bill and how they would qualify for low income housing. Super awkward as I was trying to eat.

I’m such a sucker for Vietnamese cuisine. The first time I tried Yeh Yeh’s, I came in thinking there was a lot of hype so I had semi-high expectations. The restaurant is pretty small and hidden, and looks a little run down inside but don’t let that fool you because their banh mi lives up to their rep! I got the grilled pork banh mi and it did not disappoint. Bread was perfectly toasted and still soft on the inside, pork was well marinated and still moist, and there was a very generous helping of the pickled veggies which I absolutely loved and brought the whole sandwich together. For about $ 5 a pop, these bad boys left me completely stuffed and happy.

Hole on the wall place for sure. Don’t go here expecting customer service or a super clean environment. I strictly come here for the food. Pass on the bo kho(beef stew) 4⁄5 times i have tried it, I’m left disappointed. Bland, flavorless, oily, with fatty meat. My go to sandwich is the grilled pork banh mi sandwich. The best vietnamese sandwich spot in the north end. The meat is flavorful and charred nicely. The pickled carrots and daikon is spot on. Not overwhelmingly tangy with a crunch. The beard is something else(in a good way) crunchy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside. I had the vietnamese coffee twice. Both time it had a strange taste to it. Something i can’t put my finger on. Not something i would try again.

Yeh Yeh’s makes a solid bahn mi. Like I meant to eat one, but then I started the second one, shit wait where did they both go, damn I’m full, solid. The bread is just right. Crunchy outside soft interior, wets out just right when the bahn mi sits for about 30 min. They have a website so they aren’t exactly your typical down low viet joint. But when you walk inside and see all the people in what looks like a school cafeteria you know you are in for some good stuff. The Grilled Pork was a winner, spot on marinade and charred juuuuust right. And because I like some variety in my life I also tried the BBQ pork. It was close to char siu flavor but it was«pulled» like American pork. It tasted fabulous especially with some hot chili oil. Don’t skip the Grilled Pork for the BBQ, but by all means get both of them. If I lived in the area I’d definitely be back for some of the weekend only noodle specials.

This little hole in the wall hands down has the best banh mi around. I’ve had this Togo and then ate it later when it was cold and just wondered why everyone gave it such high reviews but when you actually eat it here freshly made it is so good. They also pack the sandwich full of veggies and don’t skimp at all.
