Having lived in the Seattle region for nearly 20 years, and loving Vietnamese food like I do, I have tried a LOT of phở restaurants. This one I had been to a few times before, and now I just happen to work right around the corner from it! YAY!!! I always get a small veggie phở(with beef broth… which is probably the BEST I’ve ever had, or at least in my top 3), extra tofu, and I get extra cilantro instead of bean sprouts. And the chili oil is an absolute MUST. I go there at least once a week now. The price is right, and you can’t beat what you get for your money. The service is great and the two guys that run it are super friendly. Highly recommended!

I came in here with low expectations and came out of here neither impressed or disappointed. Phở Tran is located in a mini strip small and they have a $ 10 minimum for card transactions. After eating unhealthy for the entire day, I was desperate for some relatively-healthy Vietnamese dinner. There was only one young man working the front of the restaurant when I came in an hour before closing. The menu at Phở Tran is composed of Phở, Banh Mi sandwiches, rice plates and a variety of stir-fry dishes. I elected to go with the Combo Rice plate($ 9.75) that came with a grilled pork chop, chicken, shrimp and a fried egg. The pork chop tasted a bit dry and the chicken piece was really small. The vegetable garnish was lacking too. There was also no small bowl of broth that accompanied the rice plate. Even though the service was good, the Vietnamese food was not up to par with what you would usually find in California. I don’t regret my experience here because the food wasn’t inedible at all. I just might search for another Vietnamese restaurant if I find myself in the Mountlake Terrace area in the future.

Fabulous veg and tofu phở! Fresh ingredients, casual restaurant setting, quick service. The food is fantastic, and we enjoy getting food to go. It is a great location and space. Highly recommend if you are in Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, Shoreline, or just passing by on I-5. The employees are super polite, and this has been a consistently great experience.

The phở broth is tasteless. The beef strips don’t taste like beef. The noodles were like old mushy spaghetti noodles. After choking down a couple bites of it we left it on the table and went to another restaurant. Very, very gross soup, the worst.

Just fine, nothing to write home about. The broth, what I think phở is all about, was just alright. It had a strong bitter flavor to it but was not overly salty or oily, either. The main issue I had was the amount of gristle in the meatballs. Every single bit of them had something it it that I had to spit out and my buddy had the same problem. The place seems nice enough and is not the stark, lawn furniture type of place you can get with some phở restaurants. It has decorations, plants and a fish tank and all of them are clean and tidy. I probably will come back to this place, in a pinch.

This place is horrible. Their food has no taste and way overpriced for the portion you get. Don’t waste your money here

I ordered the phở with everything in it and the broth here is so flavorful! I rarely eat my entire bowl, but I couldn’t get enough of my soup. It’s been hard to find a good phở place outside of my moms cooking. I could just tell when it arrived it was going to be good. The ice coffee was okay, nothing special, but I’m still leaving happy and satisfied!

Like others have mentioned on their reviews this place does not deliver on their sandwiches. I can honestly say I’ve never ordered a Vietnamese sandwich(pork/beef) and just get a veggie french roll with a smear of meat. It really was upsetting to see how they would cheap out like that. We also ordered phở dishes and they were good. Don’t waste your money on the sandwiches. Not sure if this place is under new ownership but their sandwiches have been decent in the past.

I was extremely disappointed with this place and I had high hopes. I don’t like writing negative reviews but I hope they read this and really consider it. We were looking to try new bahn mi sandwich places and it was one of the few near by that was open later than usual(I had a late craving) We ordered sandwiches and bubble tea to go. When we got home my brother and mom took a bite and had no meat in the bite, they opened the sandwich and there was less than a palm size of meat spread out in a small line. We were in shock and didn’t think it was worth it to keep it and were upset that we spent money so we went back in hopes for a refund. When we arrived she refused to give as a refund for the sandwiches that were bit into and in her words«I can’t sell those» I COULDNOTBELIEVEWHATSHEJUSTSAID!!! I told her when you have a restaurant business you don’t reuse food already given to a customer!!! She later said she keeps telling the man to put more meat but that all sandwich places are different and they won’t do it. She and the man from the kitchen got upset and after 10 minutes of arguing she finally refunded our money with the comment of «this is the last time I do this.» Well this is the last time we’re coming here, and if people keep complaining about the amount of meat in your sandwiches then maybe it’s a sign you need to fix that!!!

Good service and good food. We came in exactly at the time they were closing and they were still happy to take our order. We got a chicken and veggie sandwich and a chicken, veggie, and egg sandwich. The bread was way too hard but the stuff inside was good. Each of the dozens of Vietnamese places in the area does they own style when it comes to banh mi and I would say this tastes more authentic than some of the other places. Instantly I was reminded of food I had in Thailand… Which I know is different that Vietnam but it had similar flavors to what I’ve eaten in many SE Asian countries. This is close to home so if the usual place I go to runs out of bread again this would be my backup. I’d also like to give their phở a try.

ordered togo during lunch and there were only two tables of customers. ive been here about 2 – 3 times in past 10 years. phở isnt great and small portion. egg roll is ok spring roll sauce isnt great and the rice plate combo i ordered was almost bland. i keep goinf back many years later i hopes of it tasting better but fail each time. at least the young lady up front was nice to me wheni ordered. the incense burning was pretty strong smelling by the register for in a restaurant during business hours. i wouldnt have been able to eat there. guess ill try again in 5 years.

I’ve eaten at several different Phở before. This one is my favorite. Workers are really nice. Service is quick. And the phở noodle soup with medium rare briskets is the best. I always order it. I take it to-go, and sometimes the container spills, so just got to be careful with that.

Never posted a review before but decided I should, not one to bring people or business down but as nice as the workers were, the phở was horrible, broth tasted like tap water, not even sriracha could change that, and in my xl bowl of brisket I prob had three pieces that wasn’t nearly covered in fat. My goal in writing this review is I hope they read it and change some things up a bit. Ps I travel a bunch doing service work and probably been to at least 20+ phở restaurants.

Best phở ever! We drive 20 minutes past multiple other phở stops because this one is the best! Not to mention the staff is great!

I really love this place, but recently ordered a pork banh mi from them. It was very flavorful, but the ratio of filling to bread was about 6 to 1. Semi-disappointed, although I craved one the next day. Can’t knock it too much if I still want another one… right?

It’s Phở… and that to me is hard to mess up. The only thing I wish they would improve on is their peanut sauce. It’s a bit weak and thin looking. I guess if you want Victoria Secret inspired sauce, this is your place. But I prefer mine thick and hardy like a Canadian Lumberjack!

So today I gave this shop a second chance after they messed up my order on multiple occasions before. I was almost overcharged until I questioned the pricing and he rang it up again and it was 4 dollars cheaper. Then my friend who was with me ordered and was not rang up for one of his items which we had ordered to go and didn’t find out until we got home. I returned to the store and the guys said it’d be 5 minutes and told me it’d be 5 $. Absolutely ridiculous to me that if he forgot to ring up one of 6 sandwiches and I had gotten all the way home and had to come back after I’ve had the same issues before. Do not come here. If you’re looking for phở go to phở than brothers less than a mile away or Yeh Yeh ’ for sandwiches. The foods not even that good is just that it’s within walking distance.

I have lived in four different states in the past 4 years, and this is, by far, the best phở I’ve had in any of those places! I always get phở ga with extra noodles. The broth is phenomenal. I’ve been coming here for the past two years, and haven’t wanted to get anything else. It always hits the spot :) The owners are very nice and the restaurant is clean and has a pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

Grilled pork chop sucks! It doesn’t have any flavor and the fish sauce to put on it doesnt make it any better. The Phở is below average I rather eat at thanh brothers or phở dot com around the neighborhood. I tried the strawberry smoothy and it isnt any good they use powder and not real fruit. Service is slow also.

They have beer! Well, sort of. They have Heineken and Corona. Which is sort of like ordering the cheese plate and getting a can of Cheez-Whiz, but, hey, they do share many of the same ingredients. And, still – beer and phở. Cool! Cool even if I never do order it. But that’s not what’s important right now(and stop calling me Shirley). What’s important now is the phở. And everything about this place lets you know they’re serious about delivering the vietnamese noodle soup to your gullet. If you’re looking for commercial real estate, we have some Mountlake Terrace footage available – it is our most modestly priced restaurant receptacle. Here you go. Right off 220th. Plenty of visibility, a little parking, a few tables and chairs. And on every table is the usual rack of chopsticks and spoons, plus some western silverware in one of the verticals. Can’t blame ‘em for the western flatware. They musta gotten tired of making so many trips back to the kitchen. Plus the chili oils, the chili pastes, the plum sauce. The air of anticipation. The how many. The for here. You’ve been here before, even if you haven’t been here-here before. Solid little 6-page menu of phở, vermicelli bowls, smoothies – did I mention beer? – and a few other things. Didn’t even look to see if they had banh mi. I gotta start making more of a point of that. They have like five sizes of phở bowl or something. The whole range of t-shirts – S, M, L, and so on. What’s in the bowl is good soup, Maynard. Dark, savory broth – dark, but not hazy or cloudy. Nice chewy noodles. Good flavorful meat, fresh condiments. Makes a great meal. Tasty iced coffee with cream, couple of glasses of ice water, and you don’t have to eat ’til Tuesday practically, even if you only ordered the middle sized bowl. Definitely be back.
