Hands down the best BBQ in Lubbock. You better get in early and beat the crowd! They are one of those«Open till we sell out» places, that opens at 11 and is usually closing around 2 – 3. The brisket is so delicious and the sausage wraps are just the right amount of spicy. They owners are very friendly and will converse with you while the cook chops your meat right off the brisket in front of you. I eat here at least once a week, the sauce is the best I have ever tasted. do your self a favor and get down there ASAP!!!

Great little sandwiches! If you want something quick and inexpensive but still tastes like legit BBQ this is it. Sauce is amazing.

It was as good as it smelled! We were looking for a barbeque meal, but there chopped sandwiches were enough. The sauce is amazing! We really enjoyed our lunch. Better not wait, though. When they run out of meat, they close.

This is one of my favorite places in the world for barbecue. I think it’s the best in Lubbock. The menu choices are slim, but what they have is amazing. I’ve been eating their chopped brisket sandwiches my whole life. The sauce is amazing. I’m glad they started bottling it and selling it. The owners are also very nice.

In from out of town and wow this is a great little spot. Family over for over 60 years, so you know there is a real pride in what they do. Had a sliced beef brisket sandwich and then a jalapeño cheddar sausage. Both were excellent. I also recommend putting the sauce on everything you order. I have been to a few cities in Texas(Dallas, Fort Worth, Waco, etc) and this is some of the best brisket I have had down here.

Just good ol’ fashioned BBQ. Short menu, had the chopped sandwich and it was lean, fresh, and the bun was well toasted. Their BBQ sauce is awesome… bought a bottle to bring back to Houston. Seating are old school chairs, no tables. Just adds to the ambiance.

This is without a doubt the best barbecue place in lubbock. The people who run the place always friendly, and they are very fast, despite the fact that there is almost always a line. The chopped beef sandwich is absolutely phenomenal. Hands down the best anywhere!

Yum. Classic Lubbock BBQ. The BBQ runs out every day and they are only Open until around 1:30pm. Their menu is slim and to the point. Chopped or sliced brisket and sausage. They have chips and pickles. I love the taste of their chopped brisket. The sauce is the perfect consistency and not too vinegary. The inside is unique. Their are single person desk tables lined up on the left and right side walls with an island in the middle for the sauces, onions and pickles. They don’t have the biggest portions, and it is a little pricey. This is what keeps my husband from wanting to return. For him to be full he would need two of the sandwiches and that gets expensive! All and all I say it is s great place with very quality product!

The bingo burger is a Lubbock staple. A must try if you’re in the area during lunch hours. Hurry though, because they run out fast!

This place is amazing! The seating is so unique and the food is fantastic! Had lunch here today with a friend. We both ordered chopped moist brisket sandwiches. The best brisket sandwich I’ve ever had! The sauce really adds to the overall experience too!

The nicest folks you’ll ever meet. This little place is like a cowboy’s pit stop.(Literally, the guys that come by here are all wearing cowboy hats and outfits.) It’s great for lunch. There aren’t tables you can dine at as a group or anything but it’s got a cool vibe. The owners were so sweet, asking us questions like we were their new neighbors. We got the brisket sandwiches. I hadn’t thought to put relish on this kind of a sandwich but it’s good! There’s a little relish bar where they also provide other condiments, I don’t remember the choices exactly but whatever I put on my sandwich, I liked it! I did kind of wish the nice lady would have kept a little extra fat on my brisket but that’s just my inner fat kid talking. Still yummy. I’m only getting around to writing this review now because we are running out of the homemade barbecue sauce we bought from here! It’s really delicious… Makes me not want to ever buy supermarket barbecue sauce ever again, we’re spoiled!

For a very small BBQ joint, Tom provides food beyond your typical BBQ joint, although their menu is extremely simple, it’s great and their sauce will keep you coming back for more.

Tom and Bingo’s has been a tradition in my family for as long as it’s been open. Always love the bingo burger and the chip brisket sandwich. The bbq sauce is delicious and the atmosphere is always friendly.

I guess I don’t understand Lubbock. Has the city been without a real BBQ joint for so long that people have finally acquiesced to whatever they think looks and smells like BBQ that their ears perk up with home town pride because«why the hell not»? Honestly, Dickies and Rudys are your most probable comparisons so I can’t blame you all for the high marks. You don’t know better. Unfortunately just because it’s a Lubbock«staple» in the minds of the inexperienced Unilocalsters around the city, that doesn’t mean it deserves anymore than 1 star. Go to a BBQ cook off people. Try the real thing before assuming Tom and Bingo’s overpriced tiny sliders are anything more than a convenience to locals that can’t make their own and have never eaten real BBQ. You like it? Great. Stay away from real BBQ joints or they will spoil you rotten and ruin you for life. Unless you really believe T&B have something resembling BBQ. Then only God can help you. As for me and my money, we won’t be soon parted at this place ever again.

Fun small«school house chairs» location. We had the beef brisket sandwich. Sauce was tangy and good. Beef could have been stacked thicker. Beef flavorful, but juice did not stay through sandwich. The bun is cheap and absorbs juice away from beef. This could been a much better sandwich, with controlled large portions and a better bun. Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

Well although its mostly known for its sandwiches so it limits its ability to be fairly compared to a typical BBQ restaurant, this place is fantastic. It’s a family owned business, where the husband and wife are always ready to greet you and serve you up some delicious chopped beef. Make sure you check the board when you walk in because there are some things offered like sausage that aren’t up on main menu behind chopping block. This is very much what small town, well respected food establishment should be, a place where the food is consistent and the pride shows through. Considering the owner and wife are so intimate with their customers, ity does not take more then a few visits before your lucky enough to be remembered next time you walk in, and that is always a great feeling. Lastly, in case you are not a true bbq aficionado, please dont be alarmed at the small school desk like side by side seating they offer, although a bit cramped this is a good thing. when you start to visit some of the older staples like Sonny Bryans in Dallas you will maybe better understand the origins of this lowly style of cooking.

The barbecue sandwiches with chopped up brisket unbelievable. A jalapeño cheddar sausage where you can put your own onions and toppings at the pickle bar. Don’t forget the special sauce that you can add to your brisket sandwich. They even smoked turkeys here! I can see why this is a local favorite! Get here early they started 11 until they run out!

In Lubbock, there are VERY few what one might call«historically significant» restaurants. This is one of the last. While the Hidey Ho, CharKing, Aztec Inn, La Fonda have all long since passed into the pantheon of Lubbock restaurant legend… Tom and Bingos is still doing what it do. Kicking out little chopped beef sandwiches with chips and a drink. While the food is good. how good is really a partnership between you and guy making the sandwich. BBQ sauce? Onions? Relish? Mustard? Ketchup? You have a stake in how your sandwich tastes, and you can experiment all you want. They are small. yet pricey. Its probably hard to keep the doors open just selling one thing, and therefore, the prices are higher than expected. Don’t forget… when they run out, they close. Lunch only. Don’t miss this place. If there was a bucket list of Texas BBQ joints, this would definitely be on the list.

Finally! After two years of having this little place in my Unilocal bookmark, i tried it. This place has by far the best bbq chopped beef sandwich! And im not a bog fan of chopped beef. But the flavor of the beef and the tenderness, juiciness and that unbelievably delicious sauce that they make! OMG! Im craving it right now while writing !!! It is that good, the only problem is they are just open for lunch and the place is so tiny and cute! If you havent try this place yet, you are missing an authentic flavor of Texas !! Im definitely going back soon!

How can you not love a place called Tom & Bingo’s? Really. Throw in the adorable building where they’ve been since 1952, super friendly staff, and the chopped beef sandwich, and this place is a winner. I ate my sandwich with relish and barbecue sauce, and it was extremely tasty. Not the best barbecue I’ve ever had in my life, but extremely enjoyable.
