So if you want a place where you can have a good drink nice conversation. This is it. You can play some ping pong or have a smoke at a table on the street and people watch. The bartenders are always there with a smile and ready to make you a drink that makes you feel at home.

Time & Space is in the old Highlands Taproom building. I personally like the Tap Room better. T&S offers a good selection of beer, decent priced shots, and prompt service. It was hard for me to get past the strong urine smell. I’m sure it’s because it’s an old building, but sheewww weeeee! Stinky! I’ve had some good times in this place, but I’ve been to better dive spots. Love the local art, ping pong tables in the back and sometimes live music. Always an interesting crowd! That makes it fun though. :D Wish I could give a half star, because I think it deserves a 3 ½!

Nice small hang out bar. Can be anywhere from quiet and laid back to loud with live music and busy. Drink prices are pretty average but lean to the high side, but you usually don’t have any cover charge. Nice patio and there is a lounge room in the back. What is also great is you can park at Mid-city mall right across the street.

I’ve visited this place about four or five times, and each time I’ve had a blast. In fact, this place attracted me the first time because they had a live show FORFREE and it was a great show! My ears buzzed for the rest of the weekend with the psychedelic rock strums from the guitarist who famously played for The Cure and David Bowie, Reeves Gabrels, accompanied by his band fully known as Reeves Gabrels and His Imaginary Friends. Great show by a great band. That alone impressed me enough to come back several times. Let me give you a rundown of the joint: This bar is quite small, but not near small enough to be overly crowded. It’s nestled between Joy Luck and an Indian restaurant so the smells outside are amazing and makes you really wish that this placed served some grub. They don’t unfortunately. They have an amazing patio that has a few big trees with cool lights wrapped around them that really give it a relaxing ambiance. They have a large table that fits about ten people, lots of three and four seat tables and a cool ramp outback for wheel chair accessibility, or when it gets a little crowded, a place for a smoke and to pet the dogs that chill outside waiting on their people. Inside looks a little like a redone house, with tile floors and a nice sized stage. They have a few tables inside and a really great bar stocked full of local brews, ciders, a great tap and chilled Fireball. They have one large T.V. above the bar tuned in to History Channel’s Ancient Aliens, no complaints there. Their bar seats are ridiculously comfortable and a cool place to talk to people. There’s a small backroom with really neat local art work for sale and a really nice ping pong table. I love when places have local art work that you can buy, we have some amazing artists in Louisville. Overall: The ambiance is very cool and relaxed, but notably better when there’s live music. No food, but no problem there, you come for the shows anyway. There’s a truly diverse crowd, everyone from college kids to people who probably saw AC/DC’s first concert. My main issue with this location is the price. Most of their alcohol, especially the local bottles, will cost you a pretty penny. I guess that makes up for the free cover charge. I highly recommend this place on a night where they have a live show and when you’re in good company. :)

This one of those hole in the wall bars that you always seem to manage to have a blast at. Great music, sometimes live. They have ping pong, and lots of room for dancing. They also have a full bar that has a lot of great bourbons to choose from. I also like the fact that they put up local art on the walls for decoration.
