Came here to continue the my birthday! Split the bone in rib eye. The best rib eye I have ever had. To top it off, birthday cake. To die for!

Had a LOT of time to kill between work appointment and flight home. Did a Unilocal search for steak house open for lunch… LeMoo popped up. I thought I’d give it a try based on the positive reviews. Drove about 20 minutes to get here and pulling in to the parking lot, I was a bit confused. Seemed from the initial appearance to be a bit of a casual dining steak house /sports bar or something. I went in anyway… Boy, I’m glad I did! I was seated outside in the fun and upbeat patio seating area. Erick E, my waiter, was amazing! Glass of water, a nice carafe for refills, and a small ice bucket were waiting for me after a quick trip to the washroom. I ordered seltzer water to have while I reviewed the menu. Erick removed my still water glass and bottle and replaced both with seltzer water. What a concept! Treat seltzer water like water instead of soda! I drink a LOT of seltzer water and I get annoyed waiting on refills. This was great! I ordered the soup of the day, black bean and bacon. Amazing! Had a nice flavorful kick, but not spicy, rather, tasty! Topped with a dollop of crème freshe and cilantro. Was a great start to my lunch. Then on to my meal of Romaine Wedge add filet! OMG filet came out perfectly medium rare+. The warm bacon dressing with tons of bacon bits in it was super! Wedge came with the usual tomatoes, pecans and Maytag blue cheese crumbles. Very nice home made(?)croutons = perfect lunch. I enjoyed a glass of red wine with my lunch! So very nice. Erick brought out a coffee cup with an ice cold rag to «cool off» in the warm summer day on the patio. Very nice touch. Since I had an abundance of time and no idea what I’d be doing for dinner in the airport, I splurged for the chocolate bread pudding and another glass of wine for dessert. So. Very. Glad. I did! This bread pudding was chocolate heaven. It was served warm and topped with a bourbon caramel sauce and vanilla bean ice cream… Heavenly! Lunch was completed with a hot towel served in a coffee cup. Such a cute idea. Erick was very attentive, but not«too much» in your business. Helpful and accommodating. I was complimenting him on the restaurant, service, everything … He says that the dinner service is something all together a different experience and super wonderful. I was briefly in the place when I used the washroom at the beginning of my visit. It looked amazing. If I’m ever back in Louisville, I will be sure to be back. I loved it all.

Ok just had our year meal at LeMOO. It lived up to the hype. We were greeted by 2 cute young ladies. There was a nice coat rack at the front. We were shown to our table by the bar. There is an only world meets new world feel in here. It is neither but a mix of both. The drinks came out fast! My bourbon concoction was fantastic. I only needed one. We got the muscles and a house salad. Both were great without being over whelming. Dinner wast the steak Dianne again for very good without being over the top. They even asked which type of steak knife we wanted. There was a selection. Very cool! Make desert we split the chocolate bread pudding. Kind of like chocolate cake with ice cream. Again the theme was good without being overwhelming. Also the service was impeccable! Perfectly executed. You don’t get this type of service everywhere! All and all this place is a good call for a great meal if you’re looking fir something a bit nicer.

We’ve been to Le Moo a couple of times and have never been disappointed. The menu is phenomenal but beyond that, the wait staff is impeccable and knowledgeable.

Excellent service. If you are a bourbon fan you must try the Drugstore Cowboy! Everything we ate was excellent, especially the lima beans!

My girlfriend and I came in last night for the very first time. It was a wonderful experience and our server Madalyn was just a doll and was very pleasant And accommodating and always served with a smile. The bottle of wine we got was good but it needed to be chilled because it was a little on the warm side being served. The filet was wonderful and the potato patties were just divine. We will definitely be back.

There are a LOT of great places to get a steak in Louisville and Le Moo tops my list as one of the best. We made a reservation and were promptly seated. Our waiter, although he had many tables to wait on in his section, was attentive, friendly, professional. The wedge salad was fantastic. The walnuts and blue cheese were delicious but the bacon dressing was WHOA. Yes, I literally licked the plate with my finger. I had to do it. Some may say a rookie move, but I ordered scallops at a steal restaurant. I «encouraged» my husband to get a larger portion of filet so I could eat some of his. I asked for the scallops without the mushroom cream sauce and was worried they would be bland, but they were fantastic. Served with asparagus and thin, crispy slivers of bacon on top, the scallops were cooked perfectly. Just because I felt the need to indulge with some kind of carb, I had the drunken fries. Eh. The siracha ketchup and homemade ranch dipping sauces were good, but the fries were just ok(the portion size was HUGE). My husband had the 12oz prime filet and loaded baked potato. Steak was cooked a perfect medium and was delicious-simply delicious. Only because it was a special occasion did I order dessert and WOOOOOW-the pecan pie cheesecake with Nilla wafer crust. So incredibly rich and delicious, I HIGHLY recommend. Add 2 glasses of wine and the bill was $ 135. I think it was very reasonable for a good meal, cooked perfectly, with good service and a great atmosphere. We’ll be going back!

I was thrilled when my co-workers surprised me by arranging to take me here for my birthday lunch. I’d been wanting to check it out since it opened, so I had high expectations to be dazzled. The interior has definitely undergone a major overhaul since the location’s days as KT’s. It definitely feels inspired by Dennis Tapp if not designed by him entirely. It’s over the top and overstated. The second thing I noticed upon entering was the incredibly loud and very unexpected country music. I couldn’t even peruse the menu in peace. Kenny Chesney’s «She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy» pushed me over the edge. I had to ask the server to turn it down or off before I could make my lunch selections. I’m not usually such a dining diva, but this was overpowering. Though you might not expect a steak restaurant to have a variety of vegetarian options, they do. After much consideration, I opted for the pimiento cheese sandwich with the drunk cut fries. The portions are no joke. They’re much larger than I was expecting, especially for lunch. The pimiento cheese mixture was creamy and delicious. Though I was expecting it to be served on toasted bread, it was delicious. The fries were good, but not great. They’re steak cut and I prefer thinner and crispier. For dessert, I got the French press coffee service and the celebratory chocolate cake. Ladies and gentlemen, this is where I was dazzled. That the coffee was French press would’ve been enough for me, but it was also served with a side of mini semisweet chocolate chips and cream in a mini copper mule mug. Wow! I would go back for the coffee alone. The cake was to die for and the presentation was spectacular. It’s easily enough for four people to share. We had a table of 10 and we couldn’t finish it after our large lunch portions. I applaud the owners for doing something different with their menu and their setting. Louisville needs more of this creativity.

Absolutely beautiful interior however the music was not conducive for a steakhouse. Katie perry and one direction while consuming a $ 100 /person meal doesn’t make sense in my opinion. We decided to come for my birthday with my whole family and were seated promptly. We ordered the bone in aged ribeye cooked medium rare mine was perfect however my brothers was entirely too fatty and full of gristle. Another member of our party got the pork chop which is one of the best I’ve had. The burger with fries were delicious! Altogether pretty good food though we will not be returning. The service we had was less than great. With so many other restaurant options in Louisville this one needs to wow at that price point and with all the hype they have received. We were not wowed.

Le Moo, formerly KT’s, very good & nice atmosphere. Also, pricey, but still very enjoyable. The restaurant has a cowboy– ranch type theme. We didn’t make reservations, so we were seated in the bar. There are 2 levels, so people can sit on the ground level & feel like they aren’t right in the bar. Mike had the burger. He said it was not the worst or the best he has had. I tasted the meat. It had a very fresh flavor. His fries were good. I had the scallops with asparagus, ham, &2 pork rinds. The 4 scallops were delicious. Asparagus cooked to a crunchy perfection. The ham was like bacon. The pork rinds, oh my, I could have taken a bag of them home, but I know better. I had a Mule beverage with basil. It was very good. Our server, Nick, was excellent. He was patient, attentive, & pleasant. He pressed my coffee at the table and poured it. I received a basket of coffee fixin’s, including mini chocolate chips! We ordered the Chocolate Bread Pudding. It was HUGE& delicious!!! The Village Anchor has the best Chocolate Bread Pudding. Well, little did I know, the owner of Le Moo, is the owner of Village Anchor. Now we can go to Le Moo for that dessert. The restroom has some unique features. The door bolts on the stalls will last a long time. I like the simplicity of the sink area. I did post some pictures of these. I know that is weird. Overall, we had an excellent dining experience, left stuffed, & paid for it as well. No complaints from us.

Wow! We were passing through town headed home to Nashville and found Le Moo on Unilocal and decided to try it. Man… am I glad we did. Everything was fantastic! Andrea, our server was great. Always right on time with everything. The wedge was a bit unorthodox, but really good. Now let’s talk about the steaks. I had a prime Ribeye and my buddy had a prime Strip. Both were cooked to perfection and tasted phenomenal. The sliced baked potato was great as was the asparagus. Thanks to Michael Parsley for introducing himself and making sure everything was up to par. It was! See you next time we are in Louisville.

I took a group here for the first time on Monday night and unfortunately I doubt I will ever go back. Underwhelmed with the food, especially given the price. Service was outstanding but if I am going to pay $ 40-$ 50 for a steak I expect to receive something better than what I can do on my grill. Drinks were good but wine prices are at least 4x price for ones I recognized. Kudos for keeping KT’s queso on the menu — probably the best thing we had. The coconut shrimp were not crispy — had better at PF Chang. The steaks were just so-so and the NY strip was better than the ribeye. Most steaks were cooked correctly by my medium rare ribeye was past medium. In a larger group I wasn’t going to be the one person to send one back so I ate about a third of it. Absolutely no flavor and a bit tough. I didn’t want to pay $ 60 for a 42 day aged dry rub steak but perhaps I should have. Of course I could have opted for the 10 oz Wygu for $ 235(not a typo). One guest had the salmon and said it was very good Expect to drop about $ 60-$ 80 minimum per person plus drinks and tip. Décor was nice, service was excellent but for my money there are much better places in Louisville for a great steak(Pat’s and Ruby’s) Sorry LeMoo but you were mediocre and I am being generous at 3 stars strictly raised for the great service

I really wanted to try this place after seeing it was voted one of the top 25 steakhouses in the US. I had heard good things, I went in with high expectations. My expectations were dropped at the door. A very curt hostess told us they weren’t ready for us and to go sit in the bar. Then, when they started to accept people for seating… No one came to retrieve us. So, we walked back only to wait several more minutes to be seated — ignored by the hostess and other employees — even though we had arrived marginally early. Not impressed. Similar issues at the village anchor though and same owners, so can’t say I’m really surprised. Seems to be a training issue with their host staff in general. When we finally did get seated and ordered(which also took a while…) the wait staff was very attentive and helpful. So feel secure that at least the servers know what they’re at. We ordered the mussels appetizer which I would highly recommend. It was very flavorful. I would say it is a couple steps above the mussel and burger bar as far as flavor profile. We were offered an extra piece of their special bread for remaining sauce, which we accepted. The mussels were a bit hard to finish because of the heat level — if you aren’t good with spicy foods, you may want to avoid. The bread was fantastic. Fresh, soft and flaky. Lives up to the hype. I ordered the steak and eggs. Menu proclaimed it was cooked medium. I asked for medium. It was well on the outside and just barely medium well on the inside. It was overcooked and chewy. Honestly, it was sort of terrible. The poached eggs were good but the meal overall was very heavy. I didn’t finish it. My husband on the other hand, got the steak Diane and loved it. I tried it, and it was much better than my dish. Tasty, soft and with a rich roux like sauce that wasn’t heavy. Just very good overall. For tea drinkers: They don’t have sweet tea and failed at creating one for me though the attempt was very nice. I suspect I ordered the wrong dish here — but there really shouldn’t be a «wrong thing» on a place of this *price* and caliber, or a person in the back who can’t cook steaks properly at a place known for its steaks… It will take a while to me to try this place again, if ever. So disappointed.

GETTHEMUSSELS! These rival M&B’s mussels anyday with their velvety broth and hint of siracha. We ordered these as an appetizer and definitely were not dissapointed! Since the broth was so delicious we asked for an extra loaf of bread and they brought, and charged, us for the Tribeca bread basket. Uhm no, I just wanted a piece of bread. When we tried to clarify they said this was their extra bread option. Sooo we settled with it and tried the three sauces: bacon gravy, queso and mushroom stroganoff sauce. The mushroom sauce and queso were decent but weird with the bread options given. Not something I would order. For dinner I had the half Le Moo salad with no anchovies and the salmon entrée. The salad had the most gorgeous poached egg I’ve ever laid eyes on and amazing flavor. The full salad is on my list for next time. The salmon entrée came with asparagus and cheese grits cakes. This meal will blow your socks off! Delicious, perfectly seasoned and seared salmon with what is best described as cheese bomb grit cakes. Large portions, great flavor, you really can’t go wrong. My husband had the steak diane which came with a griddle potato cake, asparagus and mushroom gravy. He had no complaints and said it was perfectly seasoned and cooked. I gave Le Moo 4 stars because of the app mix up and because my husband ordered a bourbon with 2 cubes of ice and they charged $ 2 for the ice. Not that big of a deal, but having a notation on the menu would be nice. Overall we had a fantastic meal, service was wonderful and we weren’t rushed through our meal despite a full restaurant. We’ll return and it will be hard to order anything different than what we had this time!

Great ambience and décor with lovely staff! Wasn’t quite sure what to expect with the old KTs, but looks like they have done an amazing job! Hosts were very polite and the bar was on point. We had to wait around 10 mins while our reserved table finished dinner, and the place was very busy on a Friday night. Our server was very nice and with all the tables she had she did a great job at getting to everyone. I would have to say I thought the food would have been a little better, but the wine was great. Maybe the food would have been better if it wasn’t so expensive? Thought it was a little pricy for the taste :(

Le Moo is an upscale casual eatery with big portions, exceptional service and mediocre food. Expect to pay in the mid $ 20s for your entrees and mid-teens for appetizers. I ordered a seared salmon salad that I can easily replicate at home, meaning it wasn’t special. I tried my friends’ dishes and nothing stand out enough to be memorable. The Steak Diane was tender and good but so pricey at $ 28 a dish. Beef stroganoff lacked flavors compared to others I’ve had. If you never had beef tartare before, steer clear, it’s not for everyone. It’s very raw and served cold. The restaurant is pretty with unique décor. But at this price range, I expect the food quality to be better.

I am glad that I didn’t read the reviews for Le Moo before we went, because I am afraid I might have had a preconceived opinion about it before our experience– which was incredible. A perfect evening from start to finish. We went to Le Moo for my birthday on a Friday night in December. We decided to go a bit before our reservation to grab a drink at the bar, and the moment we walked in we felt right at home. The ambiance and atmosphere is very cozy– and all three hostesses complimented my outfit and what a dapper couple my boyfriend and I were. As we smiled at each other from their kind words we were walked over to the bar and were greeted by the nicest set of bartenders(who wrote their names on a little card so you won’t forget-nice touch) I had a delicious Old Fashioned and my boyfriend had a Bourbon he’d not tried. We were welcomed by the owner, Kevin and he sent us his favorite app on the house, which was the pigs in a blanket. I’m still dreaming about these little Waygu hot dogs wrapped with bleu cheese(!) and laying in a delicious plate of bacon jam. They were so incredibly delicious. Thanks, Kevin. We went over to our table right on time and were greeted by a sweet server who was just lovely(again, he told us his name and left it on a little card… but it was several weeks ago so it escapes me) But he was informative and kind and was at the table just the right amount. Next thing we know, Kevin is back with two glasses of champagne! At this point no one knew it was my Birthday, and I was starting to feel like we were being mistaken for a celebrity couple or something! For dinner I had the Steak Diane which was heavenly, and my boyfriend got the prime filet that he enjoyed thoroughly as well. He mentioned that he loved his potatoes, too. We got a Bailey’s Chocolate Ganache cake to end the evening and it was amazing too… plus it said Happy Birthday on it, which is always a nice touch. This is not a place I could go regularly, because I am not wealthy– but we have already discussed that we will come back to celebrate something special! Le Moo might just be our special date night spot from now on!

We went to LeMoo for my mother’s birthday. It’s difficult to find a good gift for a December birthday so I opted to take her someplace new and near where we go to church. I’d heard a lot of good things about LeMoo which extended beyond, «it replaced KT’s» which was not in and of itself unwelcome news. The interior of the restaurant is gorgeous without being kitschy or stuffy. It was a really beautiful place to sit and eat if nothing else, but the food was excellent. We started with Caesar salads(be bold, get the anchovies) and on its own the salad could be a meal. It knocked my socks off. I almost didn’t want to try my meal because I was afraid it wouldn’t be able to compete. I am glad to report that I was wrong. The only blight on my evening was the brief disappointment that the pot pie I wanted to try wasn’t available. I opted for the steak and eggs(as did my father) and we both enjoyed it immensely. I was going to go for one of the steak dinners but I was looking for something ‘different’ and I am glad I had the steak and eggs. What could have been boring was rich and flavorful and beautifully presented. My mother had the beef stroganoff and as she isn’t a big eater I tried what she didn’t finish. There is a huge benefit to being tacky like that, it was amazing. It’s probably the best beef stroganoff I’ve ever had and it is one of my favorite dishes. It managed to keep it simple and be something I would go back for any day of the week. It was the perfect dish on a cold day. Our waiter was also amazing, if you can get Adrian get Adrian. I didn’t have any connection to him other than, «looks like our cousin Leon» and, «he talked me into a thirteen dollar bottle of beer.» I’m not talking up a buddy, he did a great job. They didn’t have the beer I wanted and he was able to suggest an alternative in a way that convinced me to drink something that costs over half of my weekly grocery budget. He may have used a Jedi mind trick on me but I’m glad he did. The beer was excellent. The rest of the staff was helpful and knowledgeable as well. LeMoo is a little pricy for my taste to make a habit of coming here but I will definitely be back for a special occasion in the future. It was definitely worth the price of admission and they helped make our mother’s birthday a special event.

We were in town for a show at Headliners Music Hall. We were pressed for time and saw the bright neon sign as we drove by. It looked appealing so we decided to stop in for a quick bite. We were seated quickly at a table near the bar. The décor is a little rustic, in a good way. Service was great. Our server knew we were pressed for time and worked hard to keep us on schedule. We split a wedge salad. It was big enough for two. The bleu cheese was high quality and the warm bacon vinaigrette was nice. I ordered the lamb ribs appetizer as a meal based on the server’s suggestion. I also ordered a side of their drunk cut fries. The ribs were fantastic. There were 8 ribs in the serving, and this was plenty. The spice rub was unique. The ribs were crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. Highly recommended. The fries were nice, cut in odd thicknesses they had something for everyone. The Sriracha ketchup provided some pleasant heat. My lovely companion ordered the Beef Stroganoff. The sauce was phenomenal. The beef was perfectly cooked, tender but not cooked to mush in the sauce. She said it was some of the best she had ever tasted. We enjoyed our quick stop and are looking forward to visiting when we can take our time and soak in the atmosphere.
