More relaxed than most Downtown Los Gatos restaurants: plenty of parking, plenty of space, you can linger for hours. I’ve been coming here about once every other month since 2013. But since February 2015 they changed their menu, no more«happy hour» small meals; it’s just too expensive: $ 24 for five bites of lasagna(2 pieces of 2 – 3 bites each) Tasted good but that price …

Who’s running this place? INTERVENTIONPLEASE! There is crazy confusion in the dining room about roles during breakfast. They seem to be pulling people in/out from a banquet and it is a huge cluster. No beverages/order taken for 30 min? I was snapped at by the hostess when asked if someone could take our order. The food here is fair. But also seems to favor form over function in some cases — my lox and bagel plate was served with the bagel(and apricot jam) on one plate, and the sliced tomatoes, onion, capers and lox presented in an artful salad design on the other… great, but now I’m trying to use my fork to pick up capers 1 or 2 at a time and transfer them to the bagel. Another thing… if you’re charging $ 14 for a bagel & lox, serving it with 1 tiny packaged philly cheese is tack. Bring some nice, whipped cream cheese, and a little tub of capers. The bus boys are the exception here — they get shit done!

While I was attracted to the 3 Degrees menu online, but when we checked in, we were underwhelmed by the corporate, bland décor so reserved dinner elsewhere. However, because of our so very positive experience with the restaurant manager, Glen, and again being curious about the menu, we cancelled our other restaurant and gave 3 Degrees a try. Am SO glad we did! The place hardly had anyone in it and boy this is a great secret. A terrific menu, perfectly presented and cooked to perfection. Our waiter, Hector, was the ideal guide on what to order(the brussel sprout leaves appetizer: out of this world and the unforgettable lobster mac & cheese plus the ahi tuna with taro chips) and for entrees we had the rib eye(cooked to perfection), the lamb – delectable and deliciously paired with pesto faro and our other guest had the scallops, melt in your mouth! Glen steered us to the most amazing wine and treated us to the chocolate cake dessert since it was our birthdays. Terrific service and a smashing dinner! I hear they plan to remodel the restaurant, but I don’t care: I will definitely be back either way!

I came here with couple friends for dinner a few weeks ago and I’m very disappointed with the food and service! All of the food that came out had no taste, dry, or chewy! Denny’s would have been better! All in all the ambiance is boring and outdated. If it weren’t for the wedding outside there wouldn’t be any excitement. There’s a small bar that is not separated from the dining area and there is no lounging area besides outside. I wouldn’t come back here anytime soon.

I took my three friends to this restaurant to celebrate our birthdays. Upon arrival there was a singer with keyboard which was a little loud so we sat in the back. We ordered wine and a margarita which took 15 minutes to get. We were sitting for 30 – 40 minutes before the waiter brought bread and then I had to ask him if we could order. We started with salad and appetizers which were very good but then again our waiter didn’t ask if we wanted anything else, we had to say we wanted to order again. The wait between courses cost them entrée ordering because we were pretty full. I don’t understand why the service was so poor when ¾ of the restaurant is empty. We had great conversation and the night was not lost but I would not go again. There are plenty of better places in Los Gatos to spend my money.

We came to Three Degrees based on Unilocal reviews. The dining room at 7pm on Friday was nearly empty. Our server, Sergio, was great. The food, however, wasn’t anything special. We read that the chef was Vietnamese, so we were expecting something different than standard hotel food. Alas, that didn’t exist. The food was decent but not worth the drive from North San Jose.

It has been a long time since i dined at Three Degrees. Thursday night july 242014 night shift Chef Lazaro was on the top of his game. We started out with the lobster mac and cheese as a treat what a winner. The lamb was out standing perfectly cooked with amazing flavors, the roasted chicken risotto was perfect. Hector our waiter didn’t miss a move, perfect timing and friendly. If you like chocolate don’t forget the cake. Quite find. Great out door fire pit. For sure best place for a first date. Can hardly wait to go again. Lisa from The PURE Path Aveda Salon

Went here with the in-laws for Christmas Eve dinner and based on the reviews wasn’t sure what to expect. Based on my experience I would definitely come back. The appetizer flatbread was delicious. The chorizo was flavorful and contributed a little grease to the dish so I had to fork and knife it but it was great. The scallop and octopus appetizer was pretty good, but very pricy for what you get. The scallop was well cooked and inspired me to get the scallop risotto. Scallop risotto was very good. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the risotto was very flavorful, but a little on the overly firm side. The dish would have been 5 stars had the risotto been cooked a little longer. Dessert was bananas foster. It was deconstructed and tasted good, but my wife loves bananas foster so she ate most of it. All in all we had a great dinner three degrees. I would recommend both the flat bread and the risotto and will have both next time we go!

OK folks. You’ve slipped and I’m hoping there’s an end in sight. Last time I came here for drinks, my date and I sat outside neglected most of the evening. The heat lamps out side are nice, but are you going to wait on us out there? So, you guys gutted the bar and merged it into the dining room so you could use it for events. Nice for events, bad for patrons that want something more intimate. It also made it so loud in there that my elderly mother(who wears a hearing aid) can’t stand it. Then you got rid of the great happy hour menu and removed most of the items that we all liked. Even the bananas foster is a micro mini dessert. I could eat 4 of them. Then you killed off Ladies Night. You killed off Martini night. What’s next? Oh, wait, you still have cookies behind the front desk. Have you figured out why it’s dead in the bar yet? The dinner menu is still good, but with the noise from the bar patrons wafting into the dining room and the lack of ambiance, there are other places for us to go these days.

This is a small little restaurant and bar within the Toll House hotel in downtown Los Gatos. A few of us found our way her on Small Business Saturday while we were sampling the small bars around town. It was a cold day so we were glad to find a fireplace with some nice comfy chairs to call home for a little while. Three of us ordered a beer(which was ordered faster and came first) and two cocktails. The bartender got a little distracted and forgot about our drinks and ended up making them on the house for us. I think she may have also thrown in some extra alcohol, because boy were they strong. I ordered the pomegranate lemonade, which was described to be as being a ‘kicker’ and it was really good! We also ordered the paprika onion rings and a side of mushrooms. They were both very tasty and light to keep us fueled for the rest of our journey. I do hope to be back here soon. It was a nice place to sip on a drink, and relax with friends or loved ones.

Poor experience for a Sunday morning breakfast. We stayed overnight at the Tollhouse and thought we’d grab a quick breakfast — not quick, for sure! After waiting for quite a while, the waiter showed up and hurriedly took our order. Then we waited… and waited… and waited. Finally, a micro three egg omelette showed up with a ridiculously small pile of potatoes. Was the food good? Yeah, it was decent, not amazing. The service was so slow and painful, that it highlighted the small portion of expensive average food. I will NOT return. I don’t like over-paying for poor service and undersized portions. Avoid for breakfast, not sure about dinner. I gave an extra star for the lady at the bar from the night before — she was good.

We’ve done ‘girls night’ happy hours here several times and always loved their large menu. This week we went back and their happy hour menu was shortened to 3 or 4 items(none of which were selections we were interested in), and their happy hour wine was… not very happy. We ended up ordering the sliders and tuna tartare from the regular appetizer menu. 15 minutes later the waiter came back and told us the sliders were unavailable. We changed to the calamari, and when it arrived it was cold and chewy… like it had been made long before we got it. The service was fine — our waiter apologized for the shortened happy hour menu, assisted us with wine selection(also off the regular menu), and promptly took our yucky calamari and brought us a new, freshly fired order. All in all a bit of a disappointment. The venue itself is nice, but the food and management needs some updating I think. As a heads up: They have changed their parking. Free parking is no longer available unless you’re a guest or are in the restaurant purchasing food. You can get a voucher for the parking from the waiter. Also, the entrance to the underground parking is not in the front(where I’ve driven into the lot for nearly 25 years), but around the side. Confusing to our entire party, and I overheard another table talking about the very same subject.

Went there for Happy Hour and the menu said to ask for current selections of the wine so when we asked what the happy hour chardonnay was the waitress mentioned that they had 3 vatieties, so my wife asked for one of those. When I looked at the full wine menu, the Tetarossa was $ 13.00/glass and we actually were charged the full price. The ‘food’ menu was very limited. We will not be back again. PS: the WIFI had to have a hotel password which we had to ask for and got after asking twice…

I loved that our hotel had its own bar and restaurant because I didn’t think I could afford walking to some bars in my heels for another few hours and after being in it already for 6 hours, maybe more. My boyfriend and I were too tired so we just wanted to relax and chill at least inside the hotel and still be able to enjoy some drinks. We came down from our room and finished the rest of the evening at this bar. Lots of comfy seats and big enough tables if you ever decide to order food and have dinner. We were too full so we just had drinks. I can’t say much about our drinks because we had on the rocks and beer. One thing for sure is the service was great. The bartender was friendly and chatty too so even if you come here alone, you don’t feel too alone. You’ll always have someone to have conversation with. This review prolly would have been different had I tried their food. So we had a great time and had no complains.

Came here with my family for Easter Sunday brunch and sadly we left disappointed. When we arrived the hostess said our table would be outside. Our reservation was at 11:30 so it was still pretty chilly outside. My Mom asked if we would be able to sit inside and the hostess said no, the seating was already selected. If they are going to do things this way then they should make sure to inform guests of this when making the reservation. I know they didn’t because I made the reservation and no one mentioned we would be sitting outside and I did not request to sit outside. We ended up deciding to go with it because it was a beautiful day but we were pretty cold. The food looked wonderful and at first tasted that way until later in the day when several of us began to feel sick. We ended up with upset stomachs for a majority of the day. The other problem was the service or lack of service. Our plates piled and piled and piled up on the table… and were left there. Servers were all around but very rarely did they come over to remove the old plates. We had to flag down servers on several occasions for new drinks or refills of drinks. And when we got the bill back after paying, my stepfather’s credit card was not inside. He alerted a server of this and he went to go figure out what happened and disappeared. What appeared to be a general manager(on nametag) came over and asked what happened, we told her, she left and when she came back she did not come over to give us an update on where the credit card was but instead started to set a new table. I understand they are busy but when you leave to go check where someone’s credit card went and come back and ignore us, something is wrong there. After she set the table and seated a new party, she finally came back with my stepfather’s credit card. I was really hoping to have a great experience here especially since it was Easter Sunday brunch but again, the food and the service were pretty bad.

This restaurant is housed in the Toll House hotel in Los Gatos. Breakfast each morning was fast, tasty, hot — and delivered by friendly, proactive staff. I did room service dinner one night and it was terrific. I’d definitely eat here again.

I came here for dinner with five others last night, and I’m sorry to say that the service is the worst I’ve ever encountered and the food is subpar. To have paid $ 38 per person(with mandatory gratuity) for that experience still stings today! Our waiter was inattentive throughout the meal. Not only did he neglect to clear our dirty dishes and menus, but he also had a difficult time remembering our orders. He asked three of us latecomers what we’d like to drink and returned minutes later with a pen and paper to ask again. When it came time for the second round, he had forgotten what we ordered initially. The food itself did not make up for the lack of service. We tried a variety of dishes including the tuna tartar, mac & cheese, cauliflower gratin, oysters, pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, etc. Our waiter brought out fish tacos too, insisting that we had ordered them. I kid you not, not one of them had any flavor. For dessert, we tried their ice cream sandwich and bananas foster — also missed the mark. The icing on the cake was how unapologetic the manager was when I politely voiced our complaints to her. We had already squared away our bill and weren’t attempting to short-change her. Instead she became defensive, saying«We’ve never received complaints about our mac & cheese.» Really?! If you are staying at the hotel, I advise you to try any of the neighboring restaurants; you really can’t go wrong with those that are within a 1 — 3 block radius.

We came to check out the happy hour and decided to stay for dinner. It’s in the Toll House Hotel. For the happy hour its ½ off appetizers, drinks and the house wines Monday thru Friday. Not bad! We got an order of Sweet Potato fries with BBQ sauce that was tasty for only $ 3.00! For our entrees I had the Bass with Spinach salad and polenta and it was average. My hubby got the nut covered salmon with risotto but he liked the risotto better than the salmon. We then split a banana foster with vanilla gelato ice cream that was so GOOD and only $ 5.00! The service was very good and our waiter was totally on it with all our items and drinks. The place was pretty crowded and seemed like an older crowd of folks. The bar was hoping with the happy hour since it goes until 7:30 pm! Prices were reasonable for dinner but food was not outstanding! Overall not bad and I would say around 3 ½ stars. Next time just go for happy hour instead of dinner.

What a great little find in Los Gatos, that’s also affordable. I came here for Sunday brunch and could not believe how cheap it was! My friend told me brunch used to be a huge spread for $ 44. Now it’s $ 11 and comes with«bottomless champagne», an offer no one should ever refuse. For $ 3 more, you can get an omelette made to order and it’s well worth it! As for the spread, I’m told the offerings have diminished with the $ 30 price drop but there is the standard sausage, applewood smoked bacon, eggs, potatoes and pastries. But less food will probably allow you to concentrate more on the champagne! The hotel is also really elegantly decorated and the hotel bar looks like a nice spot to have a drink.
