Ha I remember an older broad took me into this place when I still in high school. Swear to god I saw some of the original ‘toothless 49ers paying for their drinks with gold nuggets My how it’s changed! Gone are the old geezers and geezettes who used to smoke inside and laugh too loud. Now it’s filled with hipster smelling of fresh beard wax and underage chix wearing frames to make them look older and sophisticated. P.S I can tell your age by what your drinking Slipped right into that old couch like a glove…

Every time I have walked into Cardiff I’ve been greeted with dance-inspiring house, funk, soul, amusing people watching, and a diverse crowd.

I absolutely adore this place! Especially the Tuesday nights deep house music with Dru Deep and guest DJ’s. It’s the best place for dancing to authentic house music. The security staff is really friendly and awesome conversation. The drink prices a reasonable. I really would have given this place 4 + stars if they would fix a few blemishes. Which can be easily fixed if the person doing the recruiting of bartenders would get their head fastened on properly. First and for most they should posses customer service skills and a pleasant disposition and a bonus if they have any degree of enjoyment in house music genre. Also the girls bathroom needs to accommodating to handicapped guests.

Ahhh this place smells really bad and there’s something iffy about the drinks. They’re on the cheaper side, but they use shitty liquor(obviously). My friend actually got sick after a vodka cran and had to end our night early. The biggest turn-off though was how much this place reeks. All I can smell there is sweat! Not a fan of the music selection too, and what is up with the No Requests? Do yourself a favor and drive up north to Mountain View. There’s better places for dancing.

Great house music. No poseurs. Rocks on Thurs, Fri, and Sat nites. Bartenders are easy on the eyes too.

Bruh I spilled my drink with my own damn fat finger and they hooked it up with a new drink for me and a shot of drink for my buddy. Now I’ve been a floor manager, a doorman, and regular attendee of bars and I have NEVER seen that happen. As a dive bar I would like to be able to talk to my comrades but I know this isn’t that type of place. So bring your date to this dive but not your boss. CARDIFF4LYFE

Went to the bar on a Sunday night. 5 bouncers out front(should have been my first warning sign). Pulled out my state issued ID and because it wasn’t a «drivers license» I was denied entrance. This is a legal form of ID which clearly shows I’m well over the legal drinking age(and come on, look at me, I easily look 40) and the Neanderthal meathead of a doorman won’t let me in. I will be calling management and voicing a complaint this week.

It’s not often that I say this on Unilocal, but FUCK this place. A friend decided to have her birthday here on a Wednesday night and we took a huge group of people. 2 of our friends with CA issued IDs denied entry, one who is legally color blind and can’t get a drivers license. If you can’t legally drive, you can’t get into this place… what? You could tell the bouncer(who was actually very sweet) even thought this rule was bullshit because he told me that it was the owner, «Sam Ramirez’s» personal rule and that if I knew him personally I could maybe get my friends in. He said Sam was sitting right inside and I could ask him to get my friends in. I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try considering both my friends were in their late 30’s but nope. got a rude and and immediate NO from this guy. The whole thing just left a sour taste in my mouth and I left after one beer. We would have potentially spent a lot more money on drinks and stuck around. Oh and let’s not even mention the GIANT sign behind the DJ booth that says«NOREQUESTS» Sam Ramirez, you’re a dick and obviously not a very good business man. Will not be back and I don’t recommend this place to anyone. There are much better places to visit in Campbell.

They will not let me in because I don’t have a driver’s license. They will not take my California issued ID. Same Id issued by dmv. Lol what a fucking joke.

The place is small, okay, and you’ll find an older crowd at the Cardiff. Yes, all the men are standing by the bar watching drunk women dance and spill drinks on other women. All the 40, 50, 60 year old men are the ones who will hit on you. The music? They place some EDM, some pop, and some electro-funk music. Pretty good in my opinion, but the crowd isn’t that great to dance with. One thing I absolutely hate about this place is that they don’t accept passports. My friend flew down from Paris and was denied entry because he didn’t have a «Valid California License.» Sheeesh, way to kill the party Cardiff.

Music is whack. Venue is small and stuffy. Thirsty guys standing there like bunch of wall flowers. Drunk girls all up on each other grinding and spilling drinks everywhere. 50 – 60 year old guys trying to pick up much younger girls(gross!). 3 stars because the bartender knows how to make the drinks super strong!

California Id is not accepted here. You need a driving license or passport. This was not my first visit here. I have been to Cardiff several times and then all of a sudden my Id became invalid.

Cardiff Lounge is the great place to be at if you’re into dance circles and House music. The House music played here is underground old school House. You’re not going to hear all that overrated EDM crap being played at todays EDC. No, you’re going to be hearing all that Deep, Soulful, Jackin’, and Tech House. So if you’re a dancer looking for other folks that dance, Cardiff is the place to be. No doubt about it! As for other Unilocalers that hate this place, why? You’re probably not down for that House to begin with.

Zero stars. Just received word from a good friend, who is legally blind, that he was denied entry because he did not have a driver’s license. He has a legal California State Identification card. He cannot get a driver’s license because he is blind. You do NOT need a driver’s license to get into a bar. You need valid identification you jerks. My friend never once has had this issue before. I, nor our friends, will ever come back here seeing that you are discriminating in some way shape, or form. Patrons beware…

I must agree with everyone about the bouncers(securities) they are rude as hell. I’ve been to this place many times, I love the music and vibe. Would be nice if the owner can take the time to read the reviews. The bouncers’ customer service is terrible, they are the first people the customers meet. I would of fired them all for treating their customers like garbage. That’s not good for any establishment, I must say they should listen to the reviews. On the plus side, the music is great. The house music they play there is superb.

This is the only lounge in the entire Bay Area in which house music is playing the background and a Western movie is running on their TV screen. If you don’t feel like talking to anyone, you can certainly seat yourself across and watch some cowboy action. It’s also incredibly packed. Even though the walk from the bar to the restroom is literally 5 feet, there’s somehow 30 people that manage to be in your way. As much fun I wanted to have, I was uncomfortable. The crowd is very nice though and courteous even as they continue to step on your feet.

Good atmostphere, good music, decent drinks. It felt like there were more guys than women though; Sausage-Fest 2014. When I order a bourbon I don’t expect a tumbler filled to the top with ice and bourbon. I expect two fingers and a few rocks — not what I got. And while this isn’t a complaint — who doesn’t want more bourbon? — it was surprising that the bartender apparrently didn’t know how to serve the drink.

House is on point tonight… Shoooooot, their music is always on point no matter what night. Hip hop and House is usually on the nights I go. There’s also usually room to dance. There isn’t any beer on tap, but they’ve got an okay selection. I tend to get Red Stripe, ‘mon. Lots of liquor also in case you prefer them mixed drinks. I had my first shot of Fireball here. Y-U-M. I’m a changed woman because of it. it’s become one of my faves! You’re more than welcome to dress down, it’s a bar anyway. No cover either like a bar should be. I don’t know what’s going on nowadays with bars charging like they’re a club *ahem* cuz you’re not. Roll through Cardiff’s when you’re in the area… or make the trek out to Campbell Ave just for it. Totally the spot for good beats, dancing, drinks. See you on the dance floor with beverage in hand I’m sure ;)

Disclaimer: This review could possibly be skewed by the consumption of 2 very strong Aqui swirls down the street. After swirls one likes to go dancing and if you enjoy some hopping’ house music(as most intoxicated people do) you will enjoy this spot. It’s got places for sitting and places for dancing, a bar for drinking and a clean restroom for peeing. The crowd was pretty chill too, we made friends easily on the dance floor. I remember thinking the same song played the entire time I was there.
