Los Gatos Cigar Club

Stopped in to buy a cigar on a Sunday afternoon. I did not see anyone at the front desk.
I walked into the lounge and immediately received cold stares. Some dude walks up to me and says what can I do for you? I mention I just wanted to buy a cigar. He says «this is a private club you can’t be in here». Then walks into the store front and mentions the $ 10 one time fee. Rude and pretentious do not go far with me. I left immediately never to return. Don’t waste your time here folks!

Stopped by two weeks ago and being new to cigars I was made to feel very welcome and was asked questions to help then point out the right cigars for my taste. I have a small humidor that doesn’t work and they even talked about how to make sure I get a good quality humidor. I will say that they picked me my new favorite cigar, the A Funte with the natural wrapper. If your looking for great quality cigars with excellent knowledgeable staff then go nowhere else.

Best cigar lounge around. Chill place to sit, relax and smoke a cigar. The place has fantastic ventilation and best of all you can order food from Nick’s Next Door from the comfort of your seat.

Met the owner, and toured the club last night. Very clean, with a wonder atmosphere. Fabulous ventilation (since I would have refused to even go in if the cigar scent was too overwhelming). It just smelled pleasant and classy… If that has a smell.
We looked at the cigar selection (all price ranges, great layout/​presentation.) I don’t even smoke cigars and I couldn’t help but wish I did with how pretty and fun all the choices looked. My first thought was: I am never going to have another pregnant friend without stopping by this club and getting a congratulatory cigar for the new dad. From a fancy spot like this.
The owner took us through the lounge, the game was on in the background– but most guests were enjoying the beautiful indoor/​outdoor private seating. It was the perfect place to come with friends and just talk. The deep leather couches, the bistro chairs– a great layout. Opened until 11pm on weekends.
I loved the cigar storage area. It was just gorgeous. I felt like I was in a private bank safe! Just like the movies. Only it smelled better. Did I mention I’m not a fan of cigar smoke? Maybe because it wasn’t high end before I found this spot.
What a gem. So happy I found this perfect spot. I’m excited to bring friends here for a unique, relaxing night out.

Enjoy this time away when my sched permits. Enjoy being out on the patio on a cool winters eve. Love the fireplace and enjoy a bottle from Nick’s!

We came here late one. They almost closed, but they did let us buy the Padron Cigar, and allowed us to smoke on the patio. We also was able to order a bottle on Heitz Cellars wine from Nick’s Next Door to drink. It was a perfect evening. Come to Los Gatos Cigar Club for some fun if you are cigar aficionado.
Hopefully now that the US is in trade with Cuba, they should offer some serious Cuban cigars soon.

I’ve stopped by here several times after eating at some of the local restaurants. The staff is very knowledgeable about cigars. I just tell them what I like and they’re able to make recommendations about which cigars I might want to try.
You can’t beat sitting outside on a nice summer night or sitting inside the lounge and watching your favorite local teams on their big screen tv!

Had a wonderful experience at LG CIGAR CLUB. I went with a friend who is a member and we enjoyed some Arturo Fuente and brought beer in. It’s got a great warm vibe to it, with a fire raging in the fireplace and sports on every TV.
Also noticed that you can get food from Nick’s Next Door, which is the best food in the South Bay (in my humble opinion).
4.5 stars!

We discovered Los Gatos Cigar Club and Alex three/​four years ago. I have been to many cigar clubs over the years and Los Gatos Cigar Club gets my vote as being the best of the best!
This is a true mans paradise. If your were to dream up décor for cigar bar, it would be LGCC. They have a great selection of cigars and their humidors keep the cigars in tip top condition. I wished I lived a bit closer so I can hang out there on a weekly basis.
Alex has always been a great host over the years. We try & past by when ever were near Los Gatos. I’ve enjoyed cigars on the patio on several occasions, with my wife, parents, guys night out and Alex put together a great selection for my clients! Thanks for that…

Went here last night after a spectacular meal at Nicks. While I’d been here with guy friends several times over the years, my girlfriend wanted to enjoy it too, so the owner helped us select just the right cigar that we could share. He lit it for us, and we crunched down in two sumptuous leather chairs, watched several sports games and a TV cooking show and engaged in light banter with another couple and several really great guys who had also stopped by to relax. This is a real «keeper» for Los Gatos; a great way to digest after a wonderful meal in true comfort surrounded by nice people and GREAT cigars! We will be back for sure.

I can’t really add more than has already been posted. I was in town on business and met a friend there for a cigar.
Alex (the owner) was friendly, and the place is great. They have a nice selection of cigars, and I hope to return on my next visit.
Be warned, parking is a pain in the ***. Other than that, five stars all the way.

Great place, good selection. Alex knows his stuff. The lounge is open and airy with outdoor seating as well.
3 flat screens going and he will set anyone to a program of your choice.
And with a day pass you can bring in your own drinks. Also Nick’s Nextdoor will deliver dinner to you. Great place to hangout.

I travel to San Jose twice a month. Before finding the Club I would eat dinner by myself and spend the evening alone in a bar or in my room.
The Los Gatos Cigar Club is a wonderful place to spend evenings. A large selection of nice hig end cigars. Alex and Clyde are the worst.. . They are so well informed of their trade the can show you a different cigar everytime you go there. Large screen TV, great relaxing patio, friendly people and Sunday BBQ.

My husband and I have been here once and we really liked it.
The owner was the only one there serving the customers; they have huge selections in cigar; we didn’t know much about cigar so he was explaining each one and how they will flavor. We decided to sit there in front of their big TV with the cigar and sit on their sofa; we brought our own bottle of red wine and the owner gave us wine glass to use. I believe the charge for enjoying the cigar there is $ 10, unless you join their cigar club.
It’s a very nice place to relax with friends and chat; I wish they are closer to where I live though; definitely going back again.

The Los Gatos cigar club is by far the best I have seen. The owners, Alex and James, go out of their way to provide a homey atmosphere where you always feel like you are among friends. The décor is very comfortable and inviting. The selection of cigars is top shelf and members are treated to special events that are much more valuable than the membership fees.
The clientele is also friendly and it is common to see groups of friends and couples all sharing good times and good smokes. If you want to experience a pleasant outing then this is the place.

Nice selection of cigars and very cool lounge experience with outdoor patio. Lost 2 stars for service, couldn’t get anyone to help my buy a cigar, with no one in the place. So I left. I don’t mind waiting, especially if you are on the phone, just give me a nod or a heads up that you will be with me shortly. I probably still come back, but hopefully will experience better service.

Great hang out spot in downtown LG! My fiancé is a member here and we go here at least two or three times a week. The owner Alex is super friendly and a great host. I don’t like cigar smoke but with the high ceilings and good ventilation
You don’t even feel the smoke! They has 3 large TV screens and you can order food and bring drinks and just chill!

Went with a friend to smoke a cigar and enjoy a nice glass of scotch we brought in. Really nice place to chill with a cigar. They’ve got all the lighters, cutters, great ashtrays, etc. The furniture is really nice and comfortable and just a great atmosphere. Sports on the TVs, but not too loud. People either chillin’ or talking and enjoying their cigars.
Alex was great for a newbie like me. Explained about the club and the memberships. Told us to go in, check it out, see what we thought.
I was already thinking to become a member as I’ve wanted to become more of a cigar afficiando in this phase of my life — but the atmosphere of the club, the other members and Alex’s affable hospitality closed the deal.

Well, it was good to be back… LGCC is family and it has been said by a very wise and handsome man that «No trip to Northern California is complete until there is a stop at the Los Gatos Cigar Club.» Yes folks, that man is me.
We were in San Francisco and my wife wanted to go straight home because we were away from the kids for a few days and she said «we have to get back honey!» Being quick on my feet, I had to act fast! I immediately called my buddy Tony and had him start the collaboration so we can make a «good will» stop in San Jose and visit our dear friends.
His wife made an incredible lunch and we escaped to LGCC rolling code 3 in my Honda mini-​van. When we got there, time stood still. I really feel like I want to move up to Northern California just so I could be close to this place. BD Alex is great and is very hospitable. The guys that lounge there are always friendly and there is no nonsense that you would find with guys at a bar or gym.
In fine, I would love to be there as much as possible because it is truly a gem among cigar enthusiasts.

Love the atmosphere and 10 bucks to get in for free drinks and food? I am so in! I love the people that work here… they’re all super nice! I love the live band the most… they play such wonderful music and are entertaining too!
I was so happy when I won the grand prize of the night! A hugee bottle of wine signed by the wine bottlers. Wow! I had so much fun sitting, eating, and talking with friends.
Even better, it’s in Los Gatos! Right after you can go to the bars and keep enjoying the city.
