Viztango Cafe

It’s unfortunate I live in Monterey park because I crave Viztango way too often. I don’t mind the drive just to think of that delicious fresh out of the oven bread. I really don’t know how else to say it but this place is amazing. It’s always clean and the staff is very attentive and friendly.

I ordered a Hawaiian pizza online for delivery to surprise my long distance boyfriend at school. Delivery time was quick but the pizza looked not so great. The toppings were only on about half the pizza, as shown in the picture. How hard is it to evenly spread out the toppings on a pizza…
I didn’t pay for a cheese pizza! :(So disappointed.

This place was pretty good the couple of times I dined-​in. The chicken cannelloni was especially delicious
However, everything fell apart when I decided to order delivery. The person taking my order was completely incompetent. They got my credit card number wrong, forgot to ask for the expiration date, then didn’t contact me because they got my phone number wrong. I had to wait an hour and a half before calling them to get answers. And after all of this, they didn’t even bother to apologize.
I won’t be coming here any more. There are other Italian restaurants within the same block that value their customers a whole lot more than these people do

HORRIBLE! Waste of money. Our fries were cold and sent them back. My bread from the chicken salad was so hard that you could crack it. It was so bad we should have asked for our money back.

This place SUCKS!!! GO TO PASTA ROMA ACROSS THE STREET! By far, the worst experience at a restaurant. Ordered a total of 3 dishes, 2 of which were the right order but served completely cold and my pizza was the wrong order in which case they refused to do anything about the situation even though my order was correct on my receipt. WILL NOT COME BACK AGAIN!!! FYI!!! The owner Tito is not professional at all. Your employees say one thing and you tell me another. GET IT TOGETHER!!! Next time, be the boss and call your customers back like they said you were going too. If it were up to me, i would leave zero stars

Viztango catered a pasta dinner for my 800 person event and it was spectacular! The food was very high quality and the service was friendly and on time. As an organization, we use Vitztango all the time — i cant wait for our next order:)

I have yet to have a bad meal here yet. They have a nice variety of pasta dishes. Baby mushrooms oh so good. Home made bread is very good. It gets a little busy sometimes with the USC crowd, but it well worth it.

Was around the area thought I give it a try. My coworker had a salad which looked good. Avocados, fresh veggies, large portions. My friend ordered a bottled diet coke, which to her surprise– was expired! November 2014. Wow.
My chicken penne pasta was sub par. It lacked taste. There was no seasoning. The «sauce» was very oil based. Which made me feel that the pasta wasn’t drained fully. The portion was large, but it lacked flavor. The focaccia bread was good. This college eatery is just that. Pizza, salads, & sandwiches look great, but not pasta.

I tried the chicken sandwich today with side salad (total almost $ 11 with tip). The sandwich was hot, delicious, with fresh ingredients. However, it was quite small leaving me dissatisfied, as if I should be dieting… Lol
Nevertheless, the cashier was nice and the service was good. I probably wouldn’t return due to the abundance of other choices nearby.

STAY AWAY ! Disgusting place there was a fly in my salad! After complaining they started getting angry and using obscene language this place serves disgusting good and there are huge hygienic issues.

Stopped in here after the Bernie Sanders rally for a beer and some grub. I must say I was very pleasantly surprised!
I had the chicken parm sandwich… very tasty! I saw others with plates of pasta, they all looked fantastic — very large portions.
The staff was very friendly as well. My friend and I lost track of time while we chatted and drank our beers, and didnt notice it was past their closing time. The staff let us finish without rushing us at all. The person working behind the counter was very friendly and greeted us with a smile. Not at all what I expected from a little place like that.
I’d love to find an excuse to stop back by here again sometime.

The food is amazing!!!
I love the fettucine Alfredo and pizza so delicious! It’s very affordable and great place to eat. The only cons is the parking and the staff, they can try to smile more … Other than that the place is very chill and nice.

Would give Viztango 3.5 stars if I could– but it’s more on the 3 stars side. I’ve been to Viztango a handful of times and I definitely recommend eating in versus ordering to go or for delivery– the food is best eaten immediately. At the restaurant, you are served an unlimited supply of bread that is addicting– don’t fill up on it!
The portions are good and prices are reasonable. I usually get the eggplant parmesan, although when I’ve ordered it for delivery, it has come undercooked, which is really disappointing. Viztango also offers discounts for students so show them your I.D.
This is a very convenient place for students to eat but it’s certainly not the best Italian restaurant in Los Angeles.

Viztango is reasonably priced and a good place to eat for college students. Well, I guess mainly because it’s for a good price. I’ve tried a good amount of the dishes here and I’d say anything here is above average so you’ll be satisfied. Brought my friends here too and they all loved it! Don’t forget to present your discount card if you have one!
The only thing I don’t like about this place is that it literally takes forever for the food to come out. I’ve had to wait anywhere between 30 – 45 minutes just for my food. so I guess this isn’t a good place to go to if you’re in a rush.

It was lunchtime and my stomach was growling like a mama bear so I looked on Unilocal and found this place delivers. I ordered the Vodka Penne w/​Chicken, a mixed green salad w/​ranch dressing, and a diet Coke. A friendly delivery person arrived promptly within 30 minutes with my order.
The food was tasty but I was a little disappointed with the few little pieces of chicken rationed. Is there a poultry shortage I don’t know about? C’mon guys it’s ok to serve meat. Not everyone has gone vegan.
Would I try them again? Hmm, I’m not sure. Would I recommend them? Yep, if you’re looking for something simple and quick give them a try.

Been coming here for years so I thought I’d give them a shout out. Viztango’s serves some of the best pizza and salads at very reasonable prices. My favorite dish is their Chinese Chicken Salad. Their Barbecued Pizza is also delicious. If you’re in the area, check them out.

I came here after a four mile run with my dog. Only thing I could think about was devising an enticing plate of pasta. My usual spot, pasta Roma (which I am the duke of) was closed for NY.
ANYWAYS, back to the topic. The staff was soooo amazing. He gave me water for my dog. And then I asked him to point me to the popular item. He suggested the tequila pasta. I got it and was slightly disappointed. It wasn’t anything special. :/​but the customer service was very good.

Quite good! The portions are big. I got the Cajun Chicken pasta which is one of their newer pastas, and it was delicious! Definitely recommend it. My friend got the Smoked Salmon pasta which was also good, but I personally would still prefer the Cajun Chicken. Lots of oil but everything tasted good so whatever. I’ve also had a lot of their catering in the past, and you really can’t go wrong with any of their pastas. They’re good at the carb dishes!
The complimentary bread they give you when you eat in is only ok in my opinion but it’s complimentary so cool!~
The dishes here are pricier (~$ 8 – 13 per pasta dish) for a mom and pop shop of this type but overall, the food is good! Come here for your carb fix!

Been a while since I’ve been here; think the last time I was here the place was called Bistango. I wonder why the name changed. In any case, I dropped by to fuel a little more nostalgic sentiment, and was just as satisfied as I used to be back when I was still a student. For the price, this is an awesome value. And this is especially the case with the 10% off promotion they have going on.

My long distance boyfriend ordered me cheese cake, fried cheese sticks and penne vodka from here. To start off with the good, the cheese cake was amazing! It tasted just as good as any expensive restaurants cheese cake. The penne vodka wasn’t to my standards but I’m bias because I’m from NY where every pizzeria knows how to make a mean vodka sauce. What I was completely OUTRAGED by was the fried cheese sticks. These are supposed to be like mozzarella sticks but instead it was light eating uncooked breadcrumbs. That’s all there was too it. NO cheese inside the sticks or on the delivery tray.
Because I had gotten so much other food and it was halloween I decided not to get to angry. I had waited an hour longer than my expected delivery time because of the holiday. I just wanted a refund for the mozzarella sticks because I didn’t want to eat cold bread crumbs. The manager wasn’t there and some nasty woman on the phone gave me a huge attitude. I was appalled! She told us to call back in 2 days to speak to a manager but when I called he/​she wasn’t there again.
Needless to say I will not be spending any more of my money patronizing this business. It is a disgrace that I couldn’t get back my money for food that wasn’t prepared correctly, that I didn’t eat.
