The pizza by the slice here was awful. Bland, greasy and luke warm. Two of had the works and one had just pepperoni. All 3 of us were very disappointed. Luckily its very reasonable so we didn’t waste a lot of money. The best part of the experience was the cute USC décor and the shuffleboard table. We will definitely not be returning

Never again will I return… and I usually give places a second shot but this first time was so bad that I just can’t. I ordered the meat lasagna because I was craving it for lunch. First bite, eh, just decent, reminded me of school lunches back in high school. Second bite, this is worse than school lunch. Third bite, this is literally just came out of the freezer. Upon arriving, we asked how long is the wait for the pasta. The cashier stated that it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait because they make it fresh. So I waited for around 15 minutes before the food came out. It was very disappointing knowing that«fresh» meant microwaving it frozen. It was rock solid in the middle and after showing them the food was cold, the cashier apologized and brought it to the back. Five minutes later, it just looked like they microwaved it even longer to hide the fact it was not fresh. Really sad and honestly, its just plain disgusting. TLDR? Cashier stated it was fresh. Pasta was cold when it came out. I’m 100% sure its microwaved to be served as «fresh». AVOIDTHISPLACELIKETHEPLAGUE.

This is the best pizza in L.A. It is nice and greasy and loaded with cheese and sauce. This is how pizza is supposed to be made! They also have some very good pastas and sub sandwiches as well as soda, beer and wine. Their prices are very reasonable and the service is excellent.

My favorite place near the campus Pizza by the slice: reasonable price, good quality ingredients Capers pizza is esp. good. Quite and modern near the campus, by the Radisson Hotel Strongly recommending for the parents of little kids who visited Science Center or Natural History Museum on their way back

Conveniently located on USC campus by GATE3 this pizzeria offer pizza as a whole or by the slice with a few beers on tap and a fountain machine. They appeared to have rushed the opening for the start of the school and are not ready to be operating. The pizzas sit in a hot box and are reheated, the staff is uneducated on their own menu and the pizza is bland. Not worth the time or money right now. I will re-evaluate after a few months of working out the kinks.

Most places would be happy to provide free delivery if you were ordering $ 400 worth of pizza. But Rosso Oro wants to charge a $ 75 delivery fee. I recommend ordering from Viztango instead. Costs less and free local delivery.

I ate lunch at Rosso Oro’s Pizzeria in Los Angeles, CA on 3÷24÷2015. It was my 2nd time there. It’s connected with the USC Radisson and the correct address is 3540 S Figureroa Blvd. this time I had a slice of pizza and a Dr. Pepper for $ 5.45 including tax. Was it the best pizza I ever had — no — but it was far from being the worst. Most of the bad reviews are probably by Bruin fans. Plus, I took photos.

This place managed to screw up pizza, which is very hard to do. My order wasn’t wrong, decent service, and the prices were good, but the pizza is pretty horrible. The place looks clean, there are TVs all around, and there’s shuffleboard, but since the food is supposed to be the main draw, I just can’t rate this any higher than two stars. You might as well get a frozen pizza. At least it’ll be edible. I couldn’t even finish my one slice since it was so bad. Tastes horrible, burned on the bottom, poor sauce, bland toppings; just an outright bad pizza.

Went in on a Thursday evening. It wasn’t very busy and the service was fairly quick. The pizza is a bit pricey($ 18), but the slices are big and it’s pretty good. The BBQ Chicken has chicken, bbq sauce and onions. My only complaint(and it’s a personal taste) is that the bbq sauce is too sweet. The pitchers are cheap($ 10) and it’s a chill place to hang out. The staff is nice and does their job, but they clearly aren’t trained much in customer service. I saw a lot of standing around and chatting and when I asked where the hot sauce was, the server simply told me where it was so I could get it myself. No biggie, I have legs, but if I were a server, I would’ve gone over and grabbed it. Maybe they don’t get paid enough, who knows. Regardless, I enjoyed my time here and would go back again.

The first star is because it’s cheap. The second star is because they have Diet Coke(vs Pepsi). The other reviews about the pizza say it all.

I give it two stars because it was close to where I was staying and I was real hungry. The pizza was just average and nothing about it stuck out from any other place.

I went in on a Thursday afternoon. There was no one really there but it still looked good. It was pretty reasonably priced and decent pizza. It was pre made and they would heat up the slice for you. I am sure if you ordered a pizza it would taste even better. Having said that it wasn’t bad at all. I had a slice of the caperese pizza and pepperoni. The caperese was really quite good. And they also give you a TON of pepperonis. It was overall a good experience. It isn’t to die for, but it’s still good. I would go back.

Homestly, I was really disappointed. Im torn tp write this review because they really show love to USC students, staff, and faculty but the pizza was not good. It was extremely greasy(I know its pizza its not the healthiest of choices but this was well over anything I have ever had). All the grease aside, the flavor was not good at all. I do like how they show most of the local sport games and the sweet tea was pretty good as well. The pizza slices where also really really big(this is a good thing). In addition the wings are not that bad(they are breaded) and the service was really good that is a plus. The workers where really nice and made up for the below average food.

A cheap pizzeria near a college campus is always a great call! I went with a big group of friends and we ordered a couple pizzas– they were cheap and delicious with many topping options! I will say that our fresh pizzas definitely looked better than the ones in the window with lots of cheese and a huge size. Its a good place to go with a big group– lots of TVs with sports and a shuffleboard tabble with

GIANT piece of bread w/a «sliver» of cheese and toppings. They need to go easy on the bread and think about giving you more cheese. So stingy. They do have shuffleboard though.

I am a big fan of supporting mom and pop type places. So we(hubby and I) left the LA Times Book Festival at USC to find something cheap and local for lunch. I got a Caprese slice. The toppings were non existent( ). The pizza was chewy and flavorless. I was truly disappointed. How hard is it to mess up pizza especially when you are a Pizzeria. The service is mediocre. Décor is passable( ). Prices are average. I will not be visiting this place unless I am starving and everything around us is closed.

2 Stars The good news is… you got me to come back again and and buy 2 slices. The bad news is… this time the pizza either wasn’t as good, or my trip to NY raised the bar for pizza and yours didn’t measure up.

BOOOOOO. I wish this pizza was better! The only great thing was that last year when I lived at the Radisson(yes it is a USC dorm) we had um… eaten some sandwiches(How I Met Your Mother reference… please someone understand) we went in for some pizza but since they were closing they just decided to give us a couple free slices. I have to admit the free pizza after eating those sandwiches tasted pretty damn good! But normally the pizza pretty much sucks…

A solid 4 stars. As a new graduate student at USC, this place is pretty good if you want a decently sized slice of pizza with a salad and drink. Make sure to present your student ID for a 10% discount. I always get the $ 6.00 combo which includes a drink, a slice of pizza(pepperoni or cheese) and a salad(house or caesar). The pizza is average, although I like the large slices of pepperoni. If you’re lucky to get in when they have a fresh whole pizza out, then it tastes great. The crust isn’t too thin, and the cheese is just the right amount. The caesar salad is pretty good. The sauce isn’t very cheesy, and the croutons have a nice crunch to them. Depending on your luck, the bowl might have a lot of lettuce or not very many. Serving size may vary. The service speed is pretty quick, unless you go in at the dinner rush or when there’s a game going on. EDIT: What the hell, their Caesar salad doesn’t have croutons anymore!

You have to give a place with beer on tap with pretty cheap pitchers, a few flat screens and shuffle board three stars. You just have to. Free shuffleboard alone is worth that!!! I didn’t eat their pizza here when I came here with my good ol’ pops but we did share two pitchers of beer and play a few games of shuffleboard! I think I beat him on the pitchers but he beat me at shuffleboard! I guess those days when he used to let me win at games are over now that I am older ha ha But this place is just your average pizza place with slices and beer and soda and salad and with a pretty chill and laid back bar tender guy who is talkative and basically made our visit here pretty enjoyable. The downside? They don’t play sound for any of the games being shown on the flat screens!!! They have some weird rule where they have to be playing this weird ipod mix at all times according to the management… If I were them, being across the street from USC’s campus I would change that policy ASAP. You would bring in way more money and people this way. So if you do change your business policy, then I will be waiting for my cut of your revenue!!! :)
