Cheap, but fairly mediocre pizza. One of my clubs ordered a bunch of the tray order pizzas from here for an event and we didn’t think it was that good. Way too much tomato sauce in comparison to how much topping you get, and not at all that flavorful. I can see why students would decide to come here out of convenience, but if you can, definitely try to look elsewhere for your pizza.

Subpar ia the correct term. I was going to go to the other pizza place on this block but I stopped here instead. Wish I hadn’t. The sign says special 4.99 for ANY personal pizza and drink. Nowhere in the entire place does it list prices for additional toppings nor does it even list available additional toppings. So it was to my surprise that they charged me additional 1.00 for ham. The pizza was essentially your basic freezer aisle French bread pizza, with fresher toppings.

No wonder this Pizza is famous! I had only tried it in Miami, until recently, and now I am hooked. It is my favorite late night spot to go to, and if Im in Downtown for work, I make sure to stop by for a slice and a salad. But thats not all! I had them cater my 4th of July party, and it was a hit. Not too expensive, easy, they brought salads and Pizza and all the drinks, and all I had to do was look fabulous in my bikini and play a good host. They make throwing a party soooooo simple and easy. Cant wait to use them again~!

Nothing particularly memorable about this dining experience. Pizza was good but not great. Kinda cold, too… Still, decent amount of food for your buck.

After running the Run or Dye 5K — my friends and I joined a ton of other runners for a trek over for some pizza. We only had pizza and several beers, but the 3 of us really liked it, I would absoluetely come back. Nice on the pocketbook, for sure!!! It’s a simple little place, but tasty. I am surprised with some of the reviews about lack of flavor. Not our experience at all. Also — a nice cheap beer. This is a nice spot for college kids, I can see that! But I will definately bring my family over next time I’m around.

I was not impressed at all with the pizza, it kind of reminded me of the pizza i would get in my high school cafeteria. Also street parking is hard to find and I had to pay $ 15 for the parking lot they have in the back… and if we add $ 17 for the pizza: $ 32 total = /no gracias.

The first time I ordered a pizza was not bad for a place nearby campus, although quite expensive($ 25) for a supreme large 18″ pizza. Then everytime after was simply just fast crap. The pizza by the slice are old laying out for too long and the freshness has all been lost. I tried taking a salad once, which I paid $ 9.00 for a greek salad to find it was crap to the extent that I force fed myself in order to make up for my lost money and lost time. Do not waste your money or time going here at this location. Highly Highly recommend instead walking 2 minutes up Figueroa to the newly opened Pizza Studio where not only you get a whole customized personal pizza for $ 8, but the ingredients are fresh, delicious and USC owned.

Sometimes you take a step off the Unilocaled path and walk into a place with no preconceived notions, no suggestions from your nearest and dearest Unilocal pals, and no idea what you’re actually getting yourself into. On the way to visit our shuttle, I happened to get a flat tire. Luckily it happened right in front of this place. Luckily Greg R. fixed it. Luckily it only slowed us down by twenty minutes or so. This slight delay caused us to get bumped to the later shuttle line up time, so after collecting our necessary tickets, we came back to Pizza Rustica to eat some cheaper-than-Science-Center food. Being that we had eaten pizza for dinner the night before, I chose to take the pasta route. I am a huge tomato basil lover, so the angel hair with tomato and basil was for me. Greg took the safer pizza route(given its namesake) and for half the price got a much better deal. I suppose they do give you a hearty generous portion, but who needs $ 8 of pasta with canned-tomato tasting topping? It’s like the all-you-can-eat pancakes. You just can’t eat that many… and I think they threw in the word basil to the title because it sounded good. Not because it was in the food. Most of it went in the trash, but not because I didn’t totally stuff myself with subpar food. It’s just way too much subpar food for a par price.

Tried to use a groupon on ¼/13, but was told by a manager that it expired even though I showed him that it did not expire until 1÷30÷13. I spoke with the owner Mike over the phone, he told me to contact groupon to get a refund and did not care that the groupon was still valid. He was extremely rude over the phone. The pizza was horrible, but we were in a rush to go watch the USC vs Stanford game.

Literally steps away from the USC campus, this Italian restaurant makes its home beneath Tuscany apartments alongside other establishments like Chic Fil-A, Coldstone, Coffee Bean, and Chipotle. This is a great little place for lunch where they have a good selection of pastas, salads, and sandwiches. At the time I went, they had this special lunch combo that came with one slice of pizza, side salad, and drink for I believe $ 7.99. I opted for the sandwich and salad selection and ordered the bbq chicken one with garden salad. The portions are definitely big, but this sandwich was so messy that I had to eat it with a fork and knife. Overall it’s not an amazing place worth going out of your way, but it was good and would come back if and when I’m on that side of campus.

I had two Margherita pizzas on a Monday for 2.18 — Cheap. Only Mondays. Only USC location — Looks like its been out for a while. They rebake the pizza for you — Thin bread. Average-sized slice. «NO costco» here — Margherita is essentially cheese — Barely cheese on the pizza. Talk about cutting corners. — I haven’t tried the other pizza, but I’m not sure if Id pay 4 bucks for a slice.

One of the best places to eat in the USC area, and there’s never a line so I’d say its also one of the most overlooked! I am from New York so I’m a bit of a pizza snob, and while this pizza is nothing like what you’d find in NYC, it’s delicious nonetheless! I’ve never had pizza quite like it before. A slice is actually one giant personal pizza cut up into squares. The first time I came here I ordered two slices because I thought one square = one slice and I got a nice surprise! I also highly recommend trying some of the other items on the menu. The salads and pasta are quite good, and I tried the chicken parm sandwich for the first time today and it was excellent. Best of all, this place is very cheap — perfect for college students. The pizza + salad combo is 5 bucks, and on Mondays slices are just one dollar. I’m a regular here, and if you live in the area you should be too.

Pizza taste has been inconsistent. I purchased a Groupon and went to redeem it today and got the rudest customer«service» from the brunette girl behind the counter. She was taking forever and conversing with people behind me, as I stood waiting for her to scan my little barcode. I said«boy i thought this process would be faster» she replied«I told you your pizza would be ready in 15 minutes and you took an hour to come and pick it up». =O Ummm, so that means you can waste my time and spitefully drag your feet with my transaction?! I called for the manager and handed him back the business card he had given to me, asking me to keep them in mind should my company have a need for catering service(i had on my work badge). I told him his employee was rude and needed a course in customer service. He said absolutely NOTHING, took the card and turned around. I’ll be taking my business down the street to Pasta Roma or which stays open til 4am from now on. The customer is NOT always right, but dang whatever happened to customer service???

My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try since we were hoping to go to nearby Chik-Fil-A…but it was Sunday. Oops… always forget that. And then the line for Chipotle was out the door, and we were too hungry to wait. They had a special for a slice of pizza and salad, so we each ordered that. The slice is not really a slice; it’s a big rectangle of pizza cut into 6 pieces. I ordered the pizza rustica — artichokes, kalamata olives, sun dried tomatoes, basil, and ham. My boyfriend got the Italian sausage(I think). The pizza was decent; the salad was pretty fresh. A few comments about my pizza: 1. The ingredients were pretty good, except the artichokes were a little salty. 2. You could tell the pizza wasn’t freshly made– but honestly, I wasn’t expecting that because I picked one of the pizzas from the display window… I mean, who knows how long it had been under that heat lamp? 3. It probably would have been way better if it were ordered for carryout or delivery. Anyways, not amazing, not terrible. If I found myself in the same situation, forgetting Chik-Fil-A takes Sunday off, Chipotle being overcrowded, and my boyfriend and I being desperate from food, I probably would go again.

This place in located in the heart of USC area. We found this place through the internet. They had a large selection on their menu but because we went late, we had to take what’s left which was the Quatro Fromage and the Mediterranean. It was good, I would like if there was more sauce. All around, a good place to go if you want pizza.

3 Stars This spot opened up recently right next to campus, so we stopped by for the lunch special between classes. I got a slice of Supreme Pizza, a Salad w/Ranch, Bottle of water, and an extra ranch for my pizza… total came out to around $ 8 after tax. Pizza and Salad were both pretty good, but I was just surprised by how big the slice was… oh yea, and how come the«supreme» only has pepperoni and sausage on it?

Wow… this place is legit and close to USC. I first discovered this place when the line for Chipotle was out the door. There was no line and they have an amazing lunch special(that’s available all day). It’s a slice of pizza(which is like 6 small square slices), a side salad(house or ceasar) and a fountain drink. All for $ 6.99! That’s amazing, I need to come here more!

Ordered the pizza Capangnola and spicy wings. Pizza was ok, best part of the pizza, large slices of sausage. Wings…bleh. Probably the worst wings I’ve ever had. They looked/tasted like they were microwaved. I ate them cause I bought them but never again. I would have spent less and enjoyed them 10 x more if I would have gone to the food 4 less and bought a fam pack of Tyson wings.

OMG, GROSS! I didn’t know that it was possible to make a pizza this nasty… even if you tried! The once frozen tasting toppings were so flavorless. The scary, day-glow shade of yellow pineapple/pepeprs were on pretty much every pizza that was available by the slice. Dry crust, bland sauce. If you are walking down S. Figueroa St, keep walking!!!

Pizza Rustica is great for college students who are: –broke –hungry –on a tight schedule/limited time –don’t want to eat fast food And on behalf of college students everywhere, I’m pretty sure that at least one of those options applies to us at one point in our college careers. The pizza here isn’t spectacular, but it is an economically wise option. I don’t know if it was just a promotion because the sign overhead said, «Lunch special» but you can get a slice of pizza, salad and a drink for $ 6.99… Given the absurd prices for a decent meal around her nowadays, this is pretty good. And we were able to get it for dinner too despite it being advertised for lunch. THESLICESAREMORETHANENOUGHFORONEPERSON. Well idk, I guess ONEPERSONWITHANAVERAGEAPPETITE. Circle pizza lovers are out of luck bc the pizza here comes in large squares and I think they had around 8 – 9 different kinds. I had the MEDITERRANEAN(olives, feta, sundried tomatoes, spinach, eggplant) and my friend had the BBQCHICKEN(bbq chicken, peppers, onions). I liked mine better. The toppings were okay but the best part was the crust! It kind of tastes like foccacia bread… it looks a lot thicker/heavier than it really is. Also, don’t be phased by the fact that the pizzas just look like they have been sitting there for eternity because they heat them up before you get it. You can also choose either a ceaser or house salad when you order the combo. They also have pastas and sandwiches, but that pizza/salad combo is a deal man. They don’t have the prices for the pizza slices ala carte posted though, so I wonder how much you really save… Tricksters. Thankfully Pizza Rustica offers delivery and take-out. They have a few seats inside if you want to dine in and take it easy. Today they were playing the NBA finals WOOOO. All in all, it is not the best pizza I have ever had, but with the limited dining options around SC, I would come back to Pizza Rustica. Now Tuscany has burritos, chick-fil-a, and pizza… OHMY.
